Tidy, clean and comfortable but the room was just big enough to fit a double bed and a small amount of storage in. There was more noise from the road (main road through Kensington) than I would have liked.

I've stayed here twice...don't know why, I should have learned my lesson the first time. I stayed once with my husband once with my sister. On both occasions the staff was nonchalant, unattentive and COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. The rooms are too small for a mouse. We had to stack our luggage and there was no clear walk bath. You... More

I've been to Eden plaza a few times over the past few years and generally a well presented clean and basic London hotel at a reasonable price. Internet connection is very patchy so transferring day to day business docs was very painful even in the main reception. Staff are generally polite with regard to standard check in etc but don't... You get what you pay for so we were quite satisfied with our excellent value 2 night stay at the Eden Plaza. We had a problem with the toilet flush in our room late in the evening but the helpful staff arranged for us to move to another room. Rooms are small - but bathrooms are modern and clean with... We had a very nice one night stay at the Eden Plaza. Reception very friendly, room and en suite clean and bed comfortable. A slight bit of noise from the corridor but could be sorted out with earplugs. Excellent location right across from the Natural History Museum and excellent value for money.

Stayed for three nights. Room very small for 2 persons and luggage for a couple of days. Free wifi but Low coverage in room. Internet Ok in reception area. Location of hotel was very good. Short distance to museum of Science, Royal Albert Hall and Imperial College. Affordable restaurants and many places to eat breakfast nearbye if you choose that.... More

I like to be positive, so I'll start with all that was good. First of all, and the main reason why we chose this hotel, the location. Right across from the Natural History Museum, near the Science Museum and V&A. 15 minutes' walk from Hyde Park. Near the major Gloucester tube. The rooms are clean, water hot, enough light in... The hotel was easy to get to from the airport via the Tube with the Gloucester station just a short walk away. The staff were nice but the room was small for a double bed but it did look like the pictures. There was not even space for a chair but they supply a stool to sit on at a... More

Good hotel, excellent location for Museums/Kensington/Harrods. Natural History Museum just across the road. The hotel was clean and the twin room was a good size. Nice big shower and hot water, comfortable beds and I've paid a lot more for a lot worse in London. Lots of restaurants and places to eat within 5 minute walk and the Gloucester Road... More

Just returned from an overnight visit to see The Jersey Boys, a birthday treat for my friend. First impressions of hotel was wow, excellent check in and our room was ready so we were able to go to our room an hour earlier than the stated time. That is when we were dissapointed. We found our room and at first... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
