Stayed here for two nights, the room was very small however clean and had everything we needed. The location is incredible, the staff weren't very smiley, and didn't really greet us, slightly blunt. But the stay was still pleasant. Good value for money and would definitely recommend if you are visiting the museums and not spending loads of time in... More

This hotel was one of the cheapest I could find and since the Royal Albert Hall (the reason fot my trip) was just around the corner, the decision was easily made. Desk employees are polite, the room is clean and despite the location at a busy crossroads, noise isn't a problem. The twin bed would have been quite small if... More

I booked a room in this hotel (to stay in mid March) in January of this year. I received an email two weeks prior to my stay cancelling the room. I immediately telephoned the hotel. They could not have been more unhelpful - alleging that my credit card had been refused and telling me to re-book the room on the... More

I will be travelling to London at the end of the month as part of a small group of about 12 people. The Eden Plaza was recommended by some in the group who had stayed there previously so most of the group decided to stay there. Some of us booked in January, some in February and I booked just last... More

I booked a two night stay in the Eden plaza and two weeks before I was due to travel I received a cancellation email. I was told that there was a problem with my credit card. I contacted my bank who confirmed that there was no issue and that they had not declined any request. It turns out that five... More

Don't normally write reviews but had to be done this time the Eden plaza hotel is quite possibly the worst hotel in London the staff are rude and unhelpful when you try to talk to them they just ignore you and talk to other colleagues in the language I was charged £15 for a continental breakfast which I did not... Stayed 1 night for a theatre break in London and was ideal. As always with trip advisor there is an element of apprehension by reading the bad reviews but more often than not they seem to be written by people who want a luxury palace for a very low cost. Yes the room was very small but it's Central London... More

After reading the bad and the negative comments about this hotel I did try for an alternative accommodation for a one night stay in Queens Gate. As none was available on short notice I made a reservation here at the Eden as its for one night I thought I can put up with it for that amount of time. The... More

Tidy, clean and comfortable but the room was just big enough to fit a double bed and a small amount of storage in. There was more noise from the road (main road through Kensington) than I would have liked.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
