The location is great - I can see the Natural History museum from my bedroom window, we are surrounded by beautiful buildings and it's a lovely area to stay. I have a 5 minute walk to the Royal Albert hall and Royal college of Art. For such a reasonable price I was delighted to see the quality of this hotel.... More

It's our third stay here at The Eden Plaza. It's such a lovely little hotel, in a great location. The hotel reception is really welcoming and the staff are very pleasant. The rooms are small but perfectly adequate, clean, and have all you need for a stay. The tube is ten minute walk away. Walking distance is Great for the... More

I chose to stay at the Eden Plaza with my daughter as it was close to the Royal Albert Hall for the Cirque du Soleil performance and was also very reasonably priced. The room was small but I didn't expect a massive room for the price we paid. However the room was immaculate and the reception check in was quick... More

As my daughter was booked in to the Royal Brompton over night I had to find a hotel to stay in. As it was just me I looked for and found the cheapest available. On arriving I found the staff at reception to be polite and quickly dealt with booking me in. My room to be honest was quite small... More

Arrived at the hotel and managed to check-in with the only exchange of conversation was the young man in reception telling us our room number, not even what floor it was on. There was no "Good afternoon, welcome to the Eden Plaza", no telling us where to get breakfast in the morning etc. Corridors were very narrow and arriving at... More

We have stayed in a lot of places but this is by far the bottom of the pile. Rooms are tiny for the price that's paid. Lucky you just need a bed to sleep on. I would not get your hopes up of staying in luxury because it's not. The hotel reception is the most luxurious part of the hotel.... More

The worst hotel that I have ever stayed. Twin bed room, with beds lined up in the longitudinal on long and narrow space. Its like a ''prison" someone said in the reviews of this sites. We almost couldn't use wi-fi while staying because of no reason. The staff never accepted our every request. They were... More

I am more than happy to rate this Hotel 3 stars because in regards to cleanliness and location, there's not much room for improvement. However, on arrival there was not much welcome... Or any, in fact. The men behind the desk were rather abrupt and didn't seem to have much to say. They quickly handed us our key to our... More

The best about this hotel is the location. Situated in Kensigton, it's very near 3 underground lines, and also near major attractions like Natural History Museum, V&A Museum and Science Museum. The rooms are really small, the space is the essential for sleeping, but this is in line with the rest of accommodations in the area. I'm used to this... More

I usually stay at higher-end hotels, having spent over 10 years in management positions with international luxury brands, so I'm used to getting more for relatively less. However, I am cognizant of the fact that paying less gets you more. That said, there are basics that I don't think anyone should sacrifice regardless of price point. A comfortable bed, a... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
