Having pre booked a double room for 2 people, when we arrived we were downgraded to a room with 3 single beds instead! Hardly ideal. When questioned why this happened they said it was because there was a problem with our original room, no further explanation was given other than that! When we tried to enter the room, the entrance... More

The Duke of Leinster is a strange hotel that seems to do some things really well and others not so well. On arrival you go through a modern automatic glass door but that takes you to a reception that seems to have modelled on something from Kabul. Reception staff were friendly enough. The lift to the floors is very small;... More

My partner and I spent easter at The Duke of Leinster in London. After reading the comments I tried to cancel the booking but it was non refundable therefore I was forced to go. When we arrived we were surprised by the beauty of the building it is a historical one very well maintained. The receptionist called Umar was very... More

I was very worried when I read the reviews after having already booked. However, our stay there was good. The location is excellent and the service was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but we were only sleeping there so it was no problem. The breakfast was good and the continental was included... More

this it a very good hotel of 3 ***. It is situated in the center of London, very comfortable, it has very polite stuff and rooms are cleaned every day When we were just going there we read lots of awful stories about this hotel, which turned to be absolute lie. There are no bedbugs, the rooms are clean, the... More

I've stayed at this hotel several times and had a fairely good experience. The staff is not very friendly, but we'v had no trouble - until last time. We where three adults booked a tripple, and we got a tiny room (number 307)- luckily only one of us had a suitcase. We asked for another, as we know they have... More

i didnt expect a room in the basement, the view from the tiny window was of pigeons nesting in pipes, that had deficated everywhere, filthy. The sink in the bathroom was blocked and full of water. We called a member of staff who said he couldnt fix it and we should just let the sink overflow, we ended up brushing... More

We felt conned! There were NO three single beds as the room description on the website stated. There was a double bed which had a lopsided worn out mattress. When you sleep, you could virtually feel the upper half of your body lying downwards at a -20 degrees angle. The other single 'bed' should not be called a bed in... More

I stayed for one night and arrived at 10pm to a very rude and unhelpful man on reception. After being given no indication about where to find my room or what floor it was on, 6 floors later I found my room. Disappointing is an massive understatement! The bathroom was tiny, and the tap didn't work for the first 3... More
