The area is good, the outside of the building looks grand, but that is all. Oeps, I forgot to mention the very nice Spanish ladies at reception. The state of the hotel is poor. The windows are so bad, you hear everything on the street. Pedestrians walking by, it looks like they walk into your room. You cannot sleep because... More

I will start with the good review, good location, very nice front staff Anna and I think the other staff is Martha. They helped with directions and how to get tickets for the tour buses and other tourist attractions. The bad, this hotel in my opinion is not children friendly and I and my kids were treated badly by the... More

It was amasing that one of staff could speak Japanese. Other staff also very kind. Room facilities and equipments were good enough but tooth brush. Anyway we really enjoyed stay. I will use again if I had next chance. I would like to say Thank you for everything and have good day.

Although the hotel is in a quiet district of London it benefits from a great location. Not all the rooms in the hotel are equiped with air conditioning. It is a fact that I can understand in a city like London but not for a room (like the one I got) exposed during July for the sun and thus the greenhouse... More

The location is good. Close to the Underground. In a quiet street , but close to lively Bayswater. The staff are very helpful , efficient and most importantly, friendly. The ticketing service wasnt able to help me get a ticket for a desired show, but I managed to get one myself. The room was tiny. But it was clean as... More

Quite good hotel i Bayswater. Good location, quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to tube stations and buses. The room (a twin room on the 4th floor) was quite small, clean, with nice beds. No AC - just av fan, so the nights were quite hot. Had breakfast one morning (basic continental) - it was OK. Very nice and helpful... More

One of those old houses between Paddington and the Park has been renovated and turned into a cozy hotel. The room was tiny but comfortable. Breakfast is served in the lower-ground floor of the house with direct access to the street through stairs. The person at reception desk, Anna, was very kind and offered useful information to guests.

Stayed at The duke for over a week. Excellent location, so close to three tube stations. Very safe to walk to at night. Friendly and helpful staff. Great continental breakfast which allowed fruit or Danishes to be taken for snacks during the day. Small, well cleaned rooms but considering the location perfect for resting after big days of touristing. Must... More

Also if the room and the bathroom is very little, I know that this is the standard for London. All staff were very friendly The location near Kensington Garden and Hyde Park and more underground station is very excellent.
