Offered room with spiral staircase at door for 85 and 88 year old. Two hours for a new room. Restaurant aware of 15 people at 7:30 (restaurant was empty) and served 2 slices of gammon and 3 slices of turkey, and then all meat for the evening gone. Pay before you eat for a reason!!!! Was for a family renunion...completely... More

We stayed here for about a week before and after we attended a convention at the Expo Center. The convention staff had made arrangements with about eight hotels that were supposed to be convenient to the Expo, but getting from the hotel to the Expo Center involved a walk to one Docklands Light Rail (DLR) station, a short ride, and... Booked this hotel as we were going to Marco Pierre whites restaurant in bishop gate. Nice hotel but a little far out from where we needed to be. Room was nice but had a terrible view overlooking a flat roof. That's what you get when you book a low floor though.

Pluses: Clean bathroom, clean bed sheets and towels. A coffee/tea maker was available in the room. Ok food and service in the pizzeria. Very close to the Canary Wharf underground station, with easy access to the main attractions. A small shopping mall and a supermarket are close by. The wireless worked well. Minuses: The A/C didn’t work in the room... More

Stayed at this hotel through a National Holiday break. We were given a room on the sixth floor we could hear the dlr train nearby but didn't effect us too much. The room was abit dated but very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had our breakfast and evening meals at the hotel which were very nice and... More

Got a deal for this hotel through Groupon for two nights including breakfast, the hotel was OK, not bad for a short stay but where it got its 4 stars from I will never know, we got upgraded to an executive room free of charge, the room was large and clean but desperately in need of decoration. We enjoyed the... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on a national holidays coach trip, it is old fashioned but there's nothing wrong with the décor. The hotel is in a great location only minutes away from shops and restaurants, 5 minute walk away from train station. There was a Tesco just across the road as we found drinks were quite... More

The hotel is in a good position only 3 mins walk from the shops and bars of Canary Wharf. I had a surprisingly good meal in the restaurant. My room however looked as if it had not been decorated since 1980. The bathroom had a ghastly jacuzzi bath of such antiquity with cracked enamel that looked such a haven for... More

This hotel desperately needs updating. The decor is very 80's. Bedroom Bizarre layout meant that i had a painful neck watching tv from bed. Decor old and tired with peeling wallpaper, paintwork in need of re-doing, no opening window and air con which hardly made a difference. Bathroom A sink with broken plug so water did not drain.... A lack... More
