The inside is more hostel. We only stayed one night so the small room was adequate, We had to walk sideways round each other and the luggage. Only one lift working. Breakfast was OK but surroundings more like a canteen. Staff helpful. Private car (9 pounds) took us to Paddington station. A small gated park outside, very peaceful. Close to... More

We arrived at 13:30, our 2 single rooms, nos 21 & 22 weren't ready, which was fair enough as book in isn't until 3pm, but they kindly said we could leave our bags & return as late as we wanted, as the rooms had been fully paid in advance. We returned at 11pm, and Oh dear they had let room... More

Location is very convenient in a very popular tourist area. The size of the room is excellent, we stayed in a triple room, which actually has (four) beds ! The breakfast is very good and served till 10:30. The downside of this hotel is the quality of its furniture which definitely needs urgent renovation.

Stayed for 2 nights in a poky room which was very tired -looking. The en-suite had a shower over the bath but the shower could not be used independently, resulting in a weak shower and a foot bath at the same time. The toiletries were poor, a tiny sachet each of shampoo and wash. One lift did not work and... More

We had to stay here for 2 nights because it was part of our tour planned by a Travel Agency. O my word!!!!!! I could not believe this hotel. It was ridiculous. The reception is quite nice, but very, very deceiving. When the elevator's doors open onto our floor, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was terrible beyond all I... More

I stayed in room 307. It was recently renovated but still needs some help. The room was new but the curtain was already falling off the wall. I cut my toes on some sharp nails by the bathroom floor where the carpet met the tile. It had a breakfast which was ok. The breakfast presentation was really poor. For example,... More

I've asked for a book on the first floor or higher up and got a horrible one in a basement. Ruse staff - especially a guy called Ahmed from the reception. Avoid it - it is really a bad experience when you chose this hotel. I am really disappointed.

Terrible place, I booked this hotel for one night only as I had a stop in London in my way to Spain. I got a room on the basement, when I came out of the lift I was on shock, carpet was very dirty (and stayed like that the whole time), corridor on bad conditions, paint and carpets need to... More

We stayed in this hotel for about a week. We didn´t expect much since we got it for a very good price. You get what you pay for and not very much more or less. The breakfast isn´t the best I have tasted, so we went out for a bite instead. The hotel was good for what we where doing,... More

After reading many of the reviews we were a bit worried about what we were going to experience, but as it was one of the cheapest options we risked it, and was pleasantly surprised! The room we were given was very small, literally a double bed and a dresser, but the bathroom was a decent size and tbf it was... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
