My friend and I stayed here and ended up on the very bottom floor beside the lift. All night we just heard the lift going up and Down. The wall paper was pealing off the wall the furniture had be "bitten" at the sides. The tapes in the bath room only had boiling hot em water coming out both of... More

I booked this hotel for a one night stay as we were going to the theatre. It was well worth the money. We seemed to have got a much better room than I booked! Room was very clean. Breakfast was good and enough to pick from. Staff were nice and looked after us well. The computers were down when we... More

The hotel was clean and nice, but the room was very small, with dreadful extrem bright lightning. Its located very central, very near Nothing Hill and Queensway. If your are staying for a weekend and need a cheap hotel, and your are out most of the day, this hotel can be reccomended. But dont expect anything else. Average breakfast included.

After reading such negative reports I was very apprehensive about staying. The entrance lobby is very well presented. Staff very friendly. We had a room on the ground floor, number 53 to be exact. Walking down the corridors which need some much needed TLC I was getting more worried about our room. When we opened the door we were surprised,... More

Having arrived and told we were on the third floor, when we booked a ground room was a bit of a disappoint, the room was ok but was not satisfied so I asked if we could be moved ,which the staff did in to room 58 ,well the room was very poor dirty and melted carpet from a iron burn... More

Well what can I say, iv never had the misfortune to stay in such a dirty, noisy, horrible hotel.I booked a ground floor room for various reasons and was given the 3rd floor, I asked to change and was given a ground floor room next to the lift and reception room 58, we did not get a wink of sleep... Clean room, good bathroom and reasonably priced for the capital. Not the warmest of receptions but the cleaning staff were very polite and pleasant. The rooms are very compact so couples will need to take turns getting dressed etc, not really enough floor space for two to stand up at once. Breakfast is a help yourself affair and on the... More

Very average hotel! Room was decent, but so warm! On ground floor so when opened window it was very noisy outside! Room was reasonably clean and bathroom was grand. Shower worked well! For the price and location it is good for a 1 night stay! Breakfast is very basic, Rice Krispies, toast and some dodgy looking eggs! Don't think I... More

If you are a person with a physical disability I would choose a different hotel as this one had one working elevator that did NOT open level with the corridors-in fact it was approximately 8-10" lower than any floor you stopped at creating a huge tripping hazzard. Furthermore, the front end staff are rude, concierge is absent and it is... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
