I don't expect a lot from a three star hotel. I am lot looking for all the amenities. With a three star hotel, I expect the rooms to be cleaned, the staff to be mildly helpful, the beds to be bug free and breakfast (if included) to be served on clean bowls and plates. The Baywater Inn did not meet... More

We stayed here in 2 x twin rooms on a girlie trip to the theatre. The location was very good near to Bayswater tube station so easy access to the theatres. First impression of the hotel is great it has had a recent revamp in the reception area however despite requesting upper floor renovated rooms prior to arrival we were... More

I have stayed in this hotel in three different occasions, as its location is absolutely great, but I have been very disapointed during my last stay. Service was not good, breakfast room was absolutely crowed, and there was a lot of loud noises, because of renovations in progress. Old bedrooms and bathrooms. There was not free internet - actually, it... More

We had to book late for a bank holiday weekend, so there wasn't anything else under £100/room - and we needed 2 rooms. This hotel was admittedly cheap, and while we aren't very fussy and don't expect much, we do expect clean... The location is gorgeous, and they've made a real effort with the lobby - but only because it's... More

Do not believe the photos you see, they are way worse in person. When you first step into the lobby, you think- ok not too bad, looks pretty okay. But once you step into anything beyond the lobby, you'd realize it's all a facade. I was given a room in the basement and so did my friend. Thankfully my room... More

Was trying to get a higher floor room by asking an asian looking receptionist. His responses to me was only a word "NO" without any apology etc. What a bad experienced stay! Avoid this hotel, there are better hotels around Queensway tube station where only few minutes walk away from Bayswater tube station.

I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the past years but I've never seen something as bad as this! The first impression you get when you walk into the lobby is that it's a clean and up-to-date hotel. However, once you get into the hall, you soon realize that this is just a facade. There's a musty smell almost... More

Woke up in the middle of the night to water dripping from the ceiling. Staff was able to accommodate us to a smaller room in the basement without any compensation for the fact we were downgraded. The basement was musty and generally had a foul odor. Additionally there were two false fire alarms in the two days we stayed. Of... More

The Hotel was okay for a one night stay, we were near the lift, and the noise of the machinery was evasive, if we were staying any longer I would ask to be moved, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was passable, overall you get what you pay for ?

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
