Having stayed in numerous parts of London previously we decided to try Tower Bridge Area. The area is fantastic with great bars and restaurants. The hotel is exceptional with a fantastic roof top bar with views over the city skyline. A warm cookie on arrival adds to the experience . Outstanding !

A short walk from The Tower Of London and where a lot of the tour busses leave. Staff are very friendly, dont forget the hot cookie when you check in. Rooms are small (no wonder they have 3 per room rule, which is such an insurance industry/Hotel scam but you cant avoid this rule), we had kids so they squeezed... More

It is not the excellent location of the hotel what makes it good (5 minute walk to London Tower and subway) It is not the cleanness of the rooms or the complimentary internet. It is not even the impressive lobby or the rooftop bar which is one of the best of The City. It is the service that makes it... More

Doubletree Tower of London is a modern, newish hotel around the corner from the Tower Hill station on the Circle and District lines. The location is great for visits to the Tower of London or for business in the City. It’s on a quiet street, so one doesn’t feel like one’s in the middle of everything, which is nice, and... More

As a Hilton Priority member we see many different properties but prefer this one when we stay in London. Right off the tube, within walking distance of major attractions....great value for the rate! Recommend trying out the breakfast.....

Stayed here a couple of years ago when this was the Mint Hotel and I have to say that this was one of the best overnight stays that I have ever enjoyed. We stayed for our anniversary and were treated to a complimentary bottle of bubbly which left an indelible imprint on my mind. Our anniversary is coming up very... More

We use the Tower Hill Doubletree as our "go-to" hotel in London. The location is very good, with St Catherines Dock a couple of minutes walk away, and central London a short tube ride. The quality of the rooms is very good: clean, well equipped, and stylishly decorated. The bar on the top floor offers an outstanding view of London,... More

Negotiated a decent rate that included breakfast.Very professional reception. Asked for quiet room , which was perfect. Location ideal for wandering around Tower Bridge and along the Embankment. Free hot cookies on arrival. Had a late evening drink in the Sky Lounge on 12th floor which gave amazing views of London skyline both north and south. Breakfast was also terrific.

I love this hotel when I stay. It really is the best one in the City of London. The rooftop bar is worth it alone. So close to The Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St Katherine's Dock. Restaurant is good too. Rooms are modern, funky and have loads of facilities. Will definitely stay here again soon.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
