My wife and I were looking forward to a weekend away from the kids and this hotel is exactly what we wanted. Clean, Comfortable, and very friendly staff. It's in a wonderful location and a five minute walk to Tower Hill or the tube station. Fantastic breakfast and the skylounge is great fun and lovely at night. Highly recommend for... More

We stayed at the Doubletree in June for my birthday weekend and in all honesty i couldnt have asked for anything better for our stay. Check in was simple, went straight up to our room and loved it. Enough room for the two of us, bathroom a tad small but did what it needed to. We thought it was in... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night so as to combine work and a weekend away. The hotel is very well located and the staff really helpful. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and certainly the higher floors some great views. The exec facilities were great and really useful for as I my wife was... More

Had a great stay at DoubleTree Tower of London. Hotel is only about 5 min walk to Underground - very convenient! Hotel staff were very nice. Room was big and clean. Bathroom was clean. I was a week in this hotel and experienced great service. The staff was always willing to help me getting around London and offered valuable tips to make the best of my trip. I recommend paying the extra 20 pounds for the room. In addition to a wonderful view, you get great breakfast and access to the lounge room.

Breakfast is great with a wide variety to choose from and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The only downfall to this hotel would be the lifts there's only 4 and this can mean... More

First the good -- sky lounge has great views and fun cocktails. The lobby has good energy and the executive lounge is solid. But there are downsides that are starting to wear on me. The rooms are small. For a place with a large number of Americans, a single US outlet would be appreciated. The bathrooms are claustrophobic. The showers... More

Stayed here 2 nights August 2015 whilst visiting London. Few mins walk from Tower Hill tube station. Reception staff all helpful and friendly. All staff in hotel friendly, no one walked past without saying hello. Rooms excellent, free wifi, iron, safe, imac tv, aircon. Eating and drinking facilities excellent. Buffet breakfast excellent. Added bonus of the Sky Lounge - roof... More

Stayed one night here. Quick check in and got our room at 11.30 am instead of the expected 3pm check in time quoted. The room was an executive room, desk provided, Apple TV, decent bed, a good enough bathroom but no bath. We were told at check in we had access to executive lounge which had complimentary wine, beer, coffee... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
