I stayed here on business for 7 nights and was upgraded to a room on the 9th floor. The room was essentially the same as my colleague's room on the 5th floor but it was clean, comfortable and had the essentials, although I did not like the Apple TV/Computer. I don't need a computer as I have my laptop and... More

Perfect location for our stay in London, few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube, lots of choice for breakfast, comfortable and quiet rooms, plus the added bonus of I-Mac, Will definitely stay here again when next in London.

Underground station is a short walk, as is The Tower of London. Helpful staff. This is a bit away from the major tourist areas, which was fine for us. We just took the Tube or a bus to other areas. Nice Executive Lounge with breakfast.

Dear 'Melissa P' Thank you for mentioning our staff and the convenience of being able to enjoy breakfast in the Executive lounge. I'm sorry if our location hadn't quite hit the mark and hence you were inclined to score us a 4/5. Whilst we are near to many well known attractions, for other areas such as the west end, as... Had a late one with work and got stranded. Had a last minute booking which was over £200 for the night but my last resort! Hotel was great. Roof top bar is awesome, place is brand new and still looks it. Staff all supremely friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

This was my second time staying here. As a diamond member my daughter and I were upgraded to the City Suite which had a great view of the Tower Bridge which was lit at night in pink to celebrate the royal birth. It was close to where my daughter had to work in the City of London and it was... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
