Me and my partner came to stay at this hotel on 22nd January when we decided we would visit London as a birthday treat for both of us. The hotel room was clean, nicely decorated and the Mac computer was a good addition. Parts of the room were slightly run down, a few marks on the walls. We went to... More

My first time here and I must say I'm very pleased with the Hotel my room is spotlessly clean I'm on the 5th floor so any noise from the road is minimal, however the Hotel is on more of a side road rather than a main thoroughfare so even on a lower floor I don't think it would be to... More

The staff is wonderful. The location is great. The rooftop views are spectacular. Then they seemed to have stopped right there with the niceties. The rooms are tiny the room view that we had opened up to another building undergoing construction. Zero views of London's lovely attractions in spite of being so close. The room itself and the halls to... More

I have been visited this hotel third time. Actually I stay here each year at the same time being visited the exhibition. I would like to state: this hotel very good and fully fit any expectations of business trip. You have enough size of room, enough level of service, not so rich, but still good enough breakfast and very polite... More

Stayed here on a stopover whilst I was on a business trip. The room was good. Comfy bed, clean sheets and cosy. The food served was brilliant! 10/10! The food was the most delicious food I've had at any of the hotels I've stayed in whilst in London! The staff were friendly and attentive. Will hopefully return!

The service and politeness of the staff was first rate. This is in a great location 4 minute walk to Tower Gateway. Nice choice of breakfast. We stayed here as we were doing a charity run and needed the room until 2 o'clock. This was no problem and they didn't charge us for the late check out. Well done Doubletree... More

Great. Stayed in a suite, which was bigger than most apartments in London. Fantastic veiws from room (tower Bridge visible) and rooftop bar. Breakfast in executive lounge was busy but pleasant. Would visit again

Fantastic location to the Tower of London and London Bridge. Stayed here for business, but would definitely consider another stay for pleasure. The rooms are clean, fairly modern, slightly small, but well situated. Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Staying here for several days, I appreciated the restaurant downstairs which was part restaurant and part retail. It served light and fuller... More

Had a lovely stay here in Feb 15. The staff were all great! The hotel is ideally located only a 3 min walk from the tower of London tube station and doesn't disappoint! The room was basic but in good order. One thing we really enjoyed was the use of the executive lounge with its complementary drinks (alcoholic and non)... More

This hotel is very good. Not far from the tower underground station and from the tower itself and the tower bridge. The hotel looks new, the stuff extremely nice. Breakfast was good with wide selection but when it full with guest they have difficulty to take care even they really try. I was told about the sky bar but didn't... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
