This was our first trip to London so we chose a hotel that was as close as possible to the centre of the action. We ended up right on top of the Tower with great access to Tower Bridge and most of the inner-city spots. Walking was easy, and when we wanted to catch the tourist bus it was right... More

I checked two hotels in the area of the Tower of London. The Novotel and this one. This was £100 less expensive than the Novotel. The rooms were adequate and the bathrooms were fine but unremarkable. The only complaint I had was the softness of the beds. They were too soft for someone with back issues. The Tower was a... More

We found the staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly, from the time we arrived to the moment we left. Our stay was very comfortable and the views from the Skyline bar on the top floor was very impressive.

Fantastic location and a great nights sleep. The rooms are of a great sze as you find most rooms are tiny and do not have a lounge area. The TV was of great quality which included Sky channels. The Sky bar on the 12th floor was superb and a great view of the Tower Of London and made it feel... More

Stayed at this hotel for business in the city and it is a very nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are a little bit below the higher standard that the rest of the hotel holds. Skybar has amazing view of the Tower, Tower Bridge and the Shard and is a must see at night time.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
