We just got back from a five-night stay at the Rembrandt--the second time we have stayed there in the past 18 months. The hotel is a nicely remodeled early-20th century hotel with a large dining room for the complimentary breakfast. Our rooms on both stays were of a good size, especially for London, and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. Elevators... More

Trip Advisor Disappointed Christmas Do at the Rembrandt arranged by Westend Events Company First impression last! Westend Event Company arranged our event in regards to our Christmas do the website falsely advertised miss leading and in accurate statements. The staff at the Rembrandt looked as happy as if they had been sentenced to a life time in prison with no... More

Just returned from a overnight stay in this Hotel from arriving the staff could not do enough for us, our room wasn't ready as we arrived a little earlier than check in 2pm, due to getting a taxi straight from Kings cross train station (cost £30 which was very reasonable) our bags were taken and stored in luggage room and... Would stay here again, but not for the full price. Public areas pretty classy, but rooms nothing special. Breakfast was wonderful, though staff a little flaky, but friendly and attentive. Reception staff could have been a bit more interested and helpful, that's really only a minor complaint. Location unbeatable, across from V&A, and a few minutes walk to Harrods. Also... More

We made another return visit to the Rembrandt, for three nights, and found it once again a good choice. The location is excellent, especially for leisure visitors - opposite the V and A and thus beside London’s ‘museum quarter’, much of its fashionable shopping and many good restaurants. There is a bus stop outside the door and it’s a just... More

After an 11 hour flight we were met by someone who looked as happy as if she'd be sentenced to a life time in Holloway prison. Rooms OK by London standards. Breakfast staff behaved like children, particularly one young eastern european chap who kept running out of the kitchen laughing, Food cold, inedible. There is a no smiling policy at... More

Dear rmpasia Thank you for reviewing The Rembrandt following your recent stay, it is always disappointing to receive negative feedback and I am shocked and saddened by your comments. It is most unusual for our staff to be criticised as they are usually praised for being smiley, helpful, and welcoming. I am sorry this was not your experience, all of... More

I stayed here with my 2 daughters for 2 nights. I'd requested a room on a higher floor away from the lift & a corner room which is exactly what I got. We had a club room with a king size bed & a sofa bed, the bed was more than adequate for us all. Room & ensuite was spotless... More

I stayed here with my 19 year old daughter for a week in December. I'd requested a room at the back, (quieter) which is exactly what we got. On checkin we had been allocated a double bed but that was quickly rectified to twin beds. Small room, but large bathroom, desk, tea and coffee making facilities and fridge. Very comprehensive... We booked this hotel through British Airways, combining air travel and hotel to get an attractive discount (5th night free). Almost everything about our stay was perfect, from check-in through free internet and included full English breakfast buffet. The Superior Double room was amply sized, one small area for improvement was that the room heating seemed a tad on the... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
