We stayed for two nights when we were in London to see a show at the Albert Hall. Chose for the location. Were not disappointed. 15 min stroll to the Albert Hall. Lovely room, spacious and clean. One of the best showers I have come across in a hotel for some time. Breakfast was excellent. Staff all very hard working,... More

Ideal situation close to South Kensington tube station and directly opposite The Victoria and Albert Museum. It was hard to believe it was a central London hotel- spacious lobby, friendly staff and with a calm, welcoming air. My sister and I booked on an offer and had an executive suite with twin beds. This was not a true suite with... More

We chose this hotel for its reasonably central location and closeness to the South Kensington tube (Piccadilly,Central & District lines). We went to all the usual tourist spots and rode the tube everywhere. Obviously it's convenient for several museums being directly across the road from V&A, but it was also convenient for a lot of good varied restaurants. There is... More

The room was supremely well laid out - even had sensors that put small skirting board lights on to guide you to the loo (for people like me of a certain age!) in the middle of the night. The breakfasts are superb, nothing too much trouble for the staff who are always on hand to ask for more coffee etc... More

My mother and I stayed at the Rembrandt for 6 nights in December. We had a wonderful experience. Our room was nice and cozy. The daily breakfast was a great way to start the day. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. The hotel staff at the front desk, was excellent in booking my car service to and... More

Excellent weekend at the Rembrandt. Great location; convenient for Museums, Harrods, Albert Hall and Kensington / Knightsbridge vicinity. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Staff are really helpful. Buffet breakfast is varied and good quality. Bar prices are quite reasonable for central London. Stayed in Executive room with walk in shower (need to request prior to arrival). Free wi-fi in bedroom... More

I booked a holiday for me and my wife as we have done for several years at the Rembrandt. We were offered one of their refurbished rooms and were extremely pleased with it. It is not too different in style from previous but is very well finished with a great shower and is very comfortable. The food for breakfast and... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
