As with many London hotels, the standard rooms are quite small. However, the room was very comfortable and clean which meant a great nights sleep. We used the bar briefly upon return from our theatre trip in the evening and it was cozy with a good selection of drinks. The best 2 things about this hotel were the friendly people... More

I have stopped here many times, A little out if the centre of London but easily accessible via the tube. High standard of decor and usual Marriott standard rooms. Breakfast is very good and the big windows over looking the Bath Road give a fresh start to the day. The only negative is the car parking charges. Expensive to park... More

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I was given a room in the lower floor with a very noisy air con. It was like being in a factory. I complained to the reception but no one can fix the problem. I was moved to another room on a higher floor, and the noise level, although still high compared... More

I used my points to stay at this hotel with my boyfriend during a shopping trip to London, but also if you are not a Marriott member and want a good quality hotel for a good price, this is a perfect hotel to stay in. The location is great: you have the tube within 5 minute walking distance that can... More

I stayed at the Marriott Kensington for business. The rooms are fine, but the beds are a bit lumpy in the first room I was in. I did upgrade to an Executive Suite, and that room's bed was more comfortable as well as much larger. The bar at the hotel is very nice and the drinks are good. The bartenders... More

Clean, bright, great location - terrific staff. Tube directly from Heathrow, just a few minutes walk to the hotel. Very convenient!

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel and although it is a little off the beaten track if you are visiting from out of the UK, it is only a short bus or taxi ride into the heart of the West End. The staff were very polite and helpful throughout and nothing was too much... More

Stayed here for three nights over the new year 2011. Arrived early following early flight to London. Staff helpful and had room available at 10am which was a lifesaver. Stayed in room on second floor, bed was v comfy with beautiful soft sheets and fantastic pillows. Think will be making a purchase from marriotshopping.com!! Could hear noise from upstairs a... More

Stayed at this hotel in July 2011 on business for 2 nights. The hotel is very nice, very clean and modern looking. The room was perfectly clean and so was the bathroom. The room contained all the basics you would expect i.e. hairdryer, iron, tea/coffee facilities, toiletries, trouser press. There was no view as such from this hotel room but... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
