I had recently booked to visit London to see some friends and was unsure on which hotel I should pick as I wanted to be close to the city and all other attractions. WOW. Not only did this hotel provide this for me being only 4 tube stops from City and a 10 min walk to Hyde park, but the... More

A very good location for the shopping and tourist areas of West London - unbeatable for the big museums. Our room was big enough to unpack a large suitcase with ease, had a comfortable bed and was in clean condition. The bathroom was more than adequate. Having an iron in the room was great - ideal for touching up a... More

The Kensington Marriott is one of the lower priced Marriott hotels in central London. However, it delivers all the expectations that one would expect from a Marriott branded hotel (and I guess pricing is a relative concept...as its not a cheap hotel) My room (a deluxe King) was clean, warm, well maintained and had a bed to die for as... If you're looking for a 5* deluxe like Claridges then this isn't your place, but then Marriott isn't about 5* super luxury, it's about a clean room, comfy beds and good facilities. This hits all those bars. You'll find the corridors narrower and rooms smaller than you're used to at Marriotts outside London, but that's because this is in London.... More

As a frequest business traveler, you look for the most comfortable stay to make the stay feel like not just another hotel, and a little closer to home. This is the place. Excellent location in London, within 5mins walk to Earl's Court (Picadilly Line) which has elevators. This allows easy and economical transfer (taxis cost an arm and leg in London) to Heathrow airport. Additionally, it is well located for going to museums and various tourist spots. For my business trips, I stayed in the standard rooms, which are comfortable with the... More

Great location in London. The room was okay. Service was outstanding. Food is okay. Rooms could use a little bit of a refresh; they seemed a bit out of date compared to other Marriott (and their chain's) hotels. Given the chance, I would stay here again.

I stayed at the Marriot in Kensington and had a very enjoyable time. My room was always maintained, plenty of amenities and the laundry service was quick and done to my expectations. The front desk staff was always polite and attentive. The concierge team was fantastic in helping us with our dining and transportation needs and I would like to... More

I've stayed at the Marriott Kensington several times over the last three years. I just returned from a 5 night stay, and as always the hotel was outstanding. Rooms are clean, everyone in the hotel is very nice and helpful, and the location is perfect. 2 tube stations a few blocks away, numerous restaurants walking distance in every direction, and... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
