We had 2 nights booked on points but when we arrived, realized our room was smaller then we wanted. We were offered an upgrade with executive lounge acces that originally seemed too expensive but turned out to be a great choice. With the exchange rate as it was, the added value of hot breakfasts, beverages, coffee, snacks and hot hors... More

Hosted a meeting with over 20 people from many countries. Very good hotel with exceptional meeting services, conference room was large enough to accommodate the team, very good service from Red-Coat (meeting service)! Nice area around the cafe-bar for non-formal team meetings. Concierge was very helpful to suggest restaurants and arrange transportation. Wifi was fast. Only drawback was that the... More

We recently stayed at this hotel the night before we left for home, while in the UK. Wished we would have stayed longer. The moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated like royalty. We are gold members to the Marriott and were kindly given a beautiful upgraded suit with concierge service. We had wonderful orderves in the evening with... More

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The staff are very warm and welcoming and it's obvious that there's a great team spirit across the different departments. I overheard a guest saying that he has been using this hotel for the last four years as he feels it's "home from home."... More

Had booked a deluxe room , which was located on the ground floor at the rear end of the hotel. If this room was deluxe, I don't want to see the standard rooms. Room size was ok, cleaning good, but nothing deluxe about. In-house Starbucks which was a plus in my book. Food was delcious. Location exceptional.

this Marriott is in a very good location close to Gloucester Road tube and not far from the museums. The reception area is bright and spacious and the staff on reception are really very friendly. I used the exec club for breakfast which was very good and then had a coffee in the bar which was also nice. The gym... More

They hotel is located in one of the best areas of London. Close to all attractions, subway, shops and restaurants. Room was a typical Marriott style one with the best bedding in the world. It looked a bit small as i got the queen not the king size. Was a bit dissapointed with breakfast buffet. Looked rather poor comparing to... More

The location for London and for shows at Olympia is quite good, but the hotel is not of the usual high standard you would expect in a Marriott. As a Marriott fan I am sad to say there are better value for money hotels in the same part of London.

It is difficult to find a good hotel in central London, but I was very impressed by this one. Excellent personnel, great location close to the tube station, very central, big and clean rooms, nice breakfast. Also the price was really competitive! I would indeed stay here more in the future.

On my latest 11 day business trip around the UK, I had to stay in no less than 6 hotels. The London Marriott Hotel Kensington was, by far, the best of the lot. Fortunately, I had 4 nights here rather than at any of the other properties. This hotel is centrally located to many of the London sites, but most... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
