I've been there with my wife on a vacation. The hotel facility was great, and the staffs were very friendly. Its location is very accessible to the public transport and in a nice neighborhood. The only thing I want to complaint was the food at the restaurant. We ordered some chicken wings and it was raw inside.

I did my research on TripAdvisor and the London Marriott Kensington appeared to the best in terms of location for value. I was using a combination of my Marriott points and cash for the stay. Getting to the hotel was easy. All you need to do is take the Piccadilly line and get off that Gloucester Road station. Then you... More

I been there on my first visit to London about two years ago and I have to admit that i was pleased. you get all the help you need from the reception and the concierge especially if you trying to find your way around London. in addition the room was really neat and well furnished. 2 adults and 2 girls (9 and 11yrs) in London for 5 days of sightseeing. By very competent hotel staff we were directed to Big Bus, London Eye, Thames River Cruise, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Mme Tussaud,... We enjoyed very much the musical Cats and got a glimpse at Lion King (after a major power cut cancelled the show... More

I have stayed here many times during the past few years and am always impressed with the high level of service. Hotel is extremely well run. Staff at front desk, at concierge and at lobby café are consistently warm, friendly and helpful. Twice in the weeks before arriving in London, I emailed the hotel with questions and received quick responses... More

This hotel is within a few minutes walk of both the Earl's Court and Gloucester Road tube stations. We took the Picadilly line from Heathrow to Earl's Court -- very convenient. Earl's Court is a little closer. Our room was small, but I'm afraid that's a fact of life in Europe. To get a room with two beds you had... More

Blocks from the underground the location is okay. Inside the rooms were clean and comfortable. Free wifi in the lobby (think you have to pay for it in the rooms), bathrooms spacious, and beds tolerable. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurants and shops up and down the street. Cost from the airport to hotel will be about $50 give and take....probably... More

Slightly closer to Earls Court than Gloucester Road tubes, each fewer than five minutes away, a convenient location for getting around. Rooms clean and fresh. Staff remarkably polite. Let me check in early after a red-eye flight. Sainsbury's across the street convenient, too. Would recommend.

One of the nicest hotels. Great accommodations. Wonderful amenities and excellent staff. Staff could not have assisted us any better. A bit away from the craziness of the city but close enough to get anywhere in a few minutes. Loved our stay here.

From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional throughout the hotel, from front desk and concierge to restaurant and bar staff. The hotel is in a great area for museums. The tube to central London is close by. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and fantastic bedding, which... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
