We used points to stay here for 3 nights. The location is very convenient, a 5 minute walk from the Earl's Court tube stop (which you can take to/from the airport, and to get everywhere in the city). The location is also great for exploring London -- walking distance to museums like the Victoria & Albert, Hyde Park, etc., and... More

Chose this hotel because we were familiar with the brand and wanted a quiet comfortable nights sleep. Also wanted a family of 4 in one room. Booked well in advance to ensure we got this. Online booking process worked well. Rang the hotel beforehand to advise we may need to check our bags in early. Arrived 10am and were delighted... More

Never been to London before so I was a bit cautious and stayed at a Marriott, my hotel chain of choice. The Kensington was a perfect location, easy to walk to many things and convenient for other means of transport. Arrived at the hotel at 2:00 in the afternoon and we were extremely light headed after flying all night. The... More

When I stay in an hotel I require three things - cleanliness, a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. The Marriott, Kensington, was able to provide the first two essentials but not the third. The room itself was fine; spotlessly clean with comfortable bed, good pillows and bed linen. The bathroom was also very clean and had a nice... More

Immaculate hotel, friendly staff and lovely rooms. Bar area is welcoming although expensive! Starbucks coffee pod and lots of choice at breakfast. Great location for locals and tourists alike. Happily stay again.

The hotel stay was great as was the location. I found the hotel to be very comfortable and we were given a comp upgrade to the executive lounge. Very Friendly staff and great breakfast. They were kind enough to lend us an umbrella as well when it inevitably started raining.

The concierge lounge which is kinda in the basement is a bit tatty but it serves what you need, basic food, wine, beer etc. Large with plenty of seating but felt a bit of an afterthought. Rooms are standard affair. Bar quite nice and friendly. Location is good. Not rockstar living but was what I needed. Seemed expensive but this... More

Booked a family room for a 2 night stay before flying from Heathrow. Requested a large room as we were travelling with a lot of luggage and our room didn't disappoint. On checking in, we were asked if we wanted to pay for the club lounge, to include wine and soft drinks, snacks and breakfast. Worth paying for. Breakfast is... More

We just stayed one night during a London stopover but everything was very good. I think it was about 45-50 minutes from Heathrow and about 70£ in a taxi and 55 when we asked for a car through the concierge on the way back. As gold members, we were given an upgrade to a beautiful suite with a full living... More

Had a great stay here this week, the bed was super comfy, breakfast was pricy but the selection was huge and very tasty, staff were mainly friendly too, although check out lady was difficult to get a smile out of, all in all a great stay!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
