Stayed here last week . Excellent location, convenient for transport links, good selection for continental breakfast. Nicely decorated and very clean. Staff pleasant and helpful . A great hotel. Would definitely recommend a stay here

We stayed here for one night as we had tickets for a show at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a 5 minute walk to the RAH. The room was small but comfortable, with shower room. Perfect for one night. The breakfast prices seemed a bit high, so we walked around the corner towards the nearest tube station for a... More

We stayed here 3 nights in a decent sized room (in the basement, so no street view). Gorgeous interiors, gorgeous decor, friendly service, excellent central location. Overall, a pricey but good experience. The aspect I did not like, and that I feel really could have been *much* better, was the food. We ate only in the bar area, twice. Both... More

Booked two rooms. One twin and one quadruple for one night. Twin room was a little on the small size compared to similar at other hotels we have stayed at, but adequate for our needs. The quadruple was a very decent size. Beds were comfortable and décor was chique. We booked continental breakfast which provided plenty of choice. Staff very... More

This is a price worthy hotel in an excellent location with great direct transport links to all areas of central London. In the lovely and calm area of South Kensington with plenty of cafés on route to the bus, or underground, 5 minutes from the hotel you won't be disappointed. You are just a short walk from Kensington Palace, Hyde... More

We stayed in room 006 for two nights. The room is in the basement and close to a fire door. From 6am each morning staff use the fire door to access a yard (where refuse is dumped) and the door slammed EVERY time-so much for peaceful lie in. I did complain to reception but there didn't seem interested, I also... More

Our room was tiny, the radiator was leaking and rusty. All the furniture was cracked or damaged. The main light did not work and they could not fix it. The room was so hot it was unbearable. All they could provide was a cheap plastic fan. The hotel is tatty and poorly maintained with an ancient tiny lift. The staff... More

Stayed here overnight on a business trip. I was in the lower floor underneath reception. The room was spacious for London and also clean. Coffee and biscuits provided in the room with a kettle. Bed was also very comfy. The hotel has a small bar which is expensive but no more than any other hotel. Did not eat at the... More

Our room was very tastefully decorated, with modern furnishings and a huge window overlooking the park. The bathroom is also modern and spacious with a fantastic shower and tub. There are many good restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk, and the Natural History museum is about a 10 minute walk. I loved this hotel and will definitely want... More

Stayed here for two nights on business. Check in smooth and friendly. The lift is tiny the rooms not much bigger! However as a single traveller it was OK. Beds comfy, room clean so no complaints. Continental breakfast I would miss not very exciting at all. There are some great options within walking distance offering great deals...I'm a local I... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
