We stayed at Grange Strathmore for 8 nights. The hotel is cosy, warm and comfortable. All staff members I have interacted with were very helpful. The family room I booked was very spacious. The hotel location was perfect in a very nice neighborhood in south Kensington which was close to a tube station (Glocester )and several cafes and restaurants. The... More

We stayed in this hotel last year. We had continental breakfast included in the price which I have to say it was good. Very nice and clean room, well heated as well. Reception staff very kind and helpful. The position is also amazing as you have the metro stop " Gloucester " very near. We payed around 101,00 £ per... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with friends for my 21st. First impressions were fantastic, lovely area. We arrived mid morning and originally our room wasn't ready but they then switched us into a room which was ready. But when we got to the room it wasn't fully made up yet (one bed not fully complete and a couple towels... More

We stayed in the Grange for 1 night- the first room we were given was on the ground floor- room007. It was dark and dingy with a small window that had been blacked out as we were in the basement! Therefore no view! The room was so small that you could not even move around the bed easily to get to... More

Stayed for one night on business. Nice building and great location. When I got into my room i was initially disappointed with the size but it had everything I needed and it was probably the best iv slept while staying in London so I changed my mind and it exceeded my initial thoughts. TV good with many channels. Decent shower.... More

The so called double room is indeed the size of a small wardrobe. The worst thing is a total lack of any shelves, drawers, any place where to put our clothes. The closet is an empty space with the bar and several hangers on it. The moment you touch it, the bar falls to the ground. Put a suitcase inside... More

Lovely old style hotel with lots of character. Staff were lovely, friendly and very attentive. Our room request for an upper level room was met and the birthday cake delivered to our room was a lovely surprise. Breakfast (full English) was fantastic. The room was clean, adequately equipped and met my expectations. Overall a lovely stay and I would recommend... More

Stayed here whilst in London on a works project. It's in a very quaint area just a two minute walk from Gloucester are tube station. Hotel looks very nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had dinner, steak, the most expensive item on the menu and it was terrible. Tough and tasteless. Although the room was very... More

Grange Strathmore Hotel is set in an elegant mansion on a white-columned square surrounding an iron-fenced private garden. Just off Cromwell Road, and a short walk to the Gloucester Road Tube, the location is excellent for exploring South Kensington, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and Gardens, Kensington High Street, Harrods and Knightsbridge, the Great Victorian Museums and into Chelsea. The staff... More

We stayed here a few years ago and had a lovely stay, this trip was such a disapointment. Breakfast was terrible the cooked breakfast was stone cold, the continental breakfast was sparse and not replenished you were not offered more tea or coffee and on all 3 mornings we had to request toast. On our 3rd morning we were told... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
