So! I stayed here for work purposes! The hotel was all paid for so hank god I did not pay a penny! The Hotel decor is actually very nice! I was staying for work purposes with my sister so the company booked us a Twin Executive room which was tiny, it was so small you could barely walk around! We... More

My husband and I went to the UK for a "babymoon"/New Year trip for Dec. 2013/Jan. 2014, and this hotel was our London base. We arrived on a red eye flight from the U.S. and got to Heathrow while it was still dark. The sun was coming up as we got to the hotel and the front desk very helpfully... More

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. As the hotel is a townhouse hotel, the former home of the late Queen Mother's Father, the rooms are varied in size, there are some rooms which are extremely large and would have plenty of space for your new son. Best wishes for a happy New Year. More

We stayed in this hotel in September this year. The hotel was great, rooms a little small but that's London. We picked this hotel because its close (walking distance) to The V & A Museum, The Science Museum, Harrods, Hyde Park & Kensington Palace. The Gloucester road tube station is a pick up point for the Hop On Hop Off... More

This hotel is just around the corner from Gloucester Road tube, 10 mins walk from the Royal Albert Hall and the Knightsbridge museums. Perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. We paid just under £90 for a standard double room with continental breakfast. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful and breakfast good especially given what we had... More

Had quite low expectations having read some of the reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Super location, five minute walk from Natural History Museum where we were attending a Christmas function. Lovely and quiet. Our room overlooked a beautiful square - we kept the window open all night as is was a little warm, but it was... More

On Sunday, 14th December my son and his family arrived at Heathrow to spend Christmas with us. Unfortunately, when they arrived it was very obvious that our eight year old granddaughter had a fever and was not very well at all. We rang the hotel and asked if they could have our rooms available when we arrived (earlier than planned)... More

I was placed in 312 which is about the same size as a wardrobe. It would have been ok if the furniture had been smaller as the hotel appear to use things suited better in a larger room. I had to move furniture around just to be able to get to the bed! Also room was heated to a stupidly... More

Upon arrival we were kept waiting 40 minutes as the room wasn't ready, we found the room small but it was clean, well decorated and a comfortable temperature throughout the stay. The pillows were hard which hasn't been the case at other Grange hotels i have stayed at. The continental breakfast was very good and staff were always at hand... More

Stayed here recently whilst visiting the Albert Hall for an evening performance. Lovely location and ideally situated for the hall along with tube stations about 5 minutes walk away too. Very friendly staff here can't do enough to help and whilst my room was cozy it was clean and of a reasonable standard although the carpet didn't quite fit around... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
