What a pity. In the hands of a less unscrupulous owner, this hotel could be a real gem. The building is beautiful and located on a serene corner, overlooking a big garden. Inside, it is a loveless, sad, musty, dysfunctional place. The service is courteous but unprofessional and ineffectual. I stayed three nights an could not change hotel because I... More

Ok, first, all hotels in London are pricey. Let's get past that. This hotel is in a posh neighborhood (South Kensington), and yet the location of the hotel slightly away from the main Cromwell Road makes it very quiet. The hotel is right next door to a small (private) park called Queens Gate Gardens. The hotel used to be the... More

i stayed 2 nights at this hotel and booked an executive room. i am glad i did this as i saw some of the guests in standard rooms going down the steps to stay in what looked like a cellar! the executive rooms don't seem to me like much of an upgrade for a 4 star hotel - they are... More

Stayed here as part of a London hotel / show deal. Nice hotel. Very quiet. Our room was very small, ok for just one night but we would have struggled if we'd had luggage! Thought breakfast was slightly over priced for the selection offered - very limited. That said, all the staff we met were very polite and pleasant. Would... More

We've been to a few hotels in South Kensington and this is in a good location for going to the Proms at the Albert Hall. The down side is the rooms are small. Okay realestate is a premium there but so is the Harbour View in Hong Kong and there rooms where a third bigger. The plus side is the... More

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and once again it was a pleasurable experience. It is in a good location with a five minute walk to Gloucester Rd tube station. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. We stayed during one of the hottest weekends in London and air conditioning would have been nice, but... More

I stayed here for 4 nights on business (for a conference). I booked a double room for single occupancy and I am so glad I did because my colleague had booked a single room and it was so tiny. Although in my room I had hanging space for clothes, there weren't proper clothes drawers (there was one small drawer in... More

Thank you for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the hotel's location good. As this townhouse hotel is a listed building, the former home of the late Queen Mothers Father, the rooms are very varied in shape and size. I hope you will return on a future stay in London. More

After spending 9 nights here all I can say is that we loved it. There was nothing too much for them to do for us and our room was perfect. It wasnt extremely huge but from previous experience no room in london is. We found the beds comfortable the shower was great and it was quiet. The staff are amazing.... More

I stayed in this Hotel for both business and pleasure! No complaints apart from no AC in the bedrooms, was OK since the temp outside was around 18-20 deg and the windows opened! But can imagine in the warmer months it couple be very warm! My rate included wifi which I was pleased about because I think in this day... More

After booking this hotel for a five night stay over 9 months ago we weren't prepared to be told on arrival of a 'computer glitch' that had double booked our room. Ironically the 'glitch' happened the day prior to our arrival. I had chosen this hotel because of it's convenient location and because that was the area where we wanted... More
