The hotel was in a great location for us to go to the Albert Hall and when we arrived found it to be a beautiful building and the receptionist staff were helpful but when we went to our room how disappointed we were. We were in the basement and the room was so small there was no room for our... More

Arrived at the Grange Strathmore Hotel for a celebration with eight friends, we were warmly welcomed. It used to belong to the Queen Mum's Grandparents, beautifully decorated and has the old comfortable feel. Much nicer than these new modern unfriendly feel hotels. Our rooms, although not very large, were lovely, clean and with tea making facilities, trouser press, TV, safe,... More

History is interesting.Beautiful clean and warm. Close to tube stops and central for touring and shopping. Ask for a room that doesn't require stairs in between floors. Strange I know-but got off with luggage on our floor only to have to lug it all up and down 2 more sets of stairs. Staff didn't offer to help, that was disappointing.... More

We stayed at the Grange Strathmore Hotel so that we could go to a concert at the Albert Hall - what a beautiful building and visit the poppy display. The hotel was absolutely lovely full of old world charm and the breakfast were divine.

This hotel is at a great location and very close to the tube. The room was small but clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was horrible, especially if you are claustrophobic or expect the shower head to work properly. Staff was nice and accommodating otherwise. Breakfast was limited, but expensive. The service at breakfast was excellent. My big problem with... More

We have stayed in a number of the Grange Hotels and find them to be great places. The Strathmore is ideally placed for Albert Hall and Museums. It is just around the corner from Gloucester Rd tube and there are a variety of pubs and restaurants within an easy stroll. This elegant and gracious building is in a quiet square... More

Visiting with my 10 year old son for a special weekend of 'Harry Potter' and dinosaurs. Our 'superior twin', which was booked for only £100 per night, turned out to be a family room with one of the singles removed and it was huge! Some of the wooden furniture was starting to look a little tired but the linen was... More

The hotel is in a very good location for access to the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington High Street and museums and it is within easy reach of Gloucester Road tube. The hotel itself was of a reasonable standard and was originally a large Victorian home. It retains a lot of the original features and the decoration is to a good... More
