This hotel is just around the corner from Gloucester Road tube, 10 mins walk from the Royal Albert Hall and the Knightsbridge museums. Perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. We paid just under £90 for a standard double room with continental breakfast. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful and breakfast good especially given what we had... More

Had quite low expectations having read some of the reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Super location, five minute walk from Natural History Museum where we were attending a Christmas function. Lovely and quiet. Our room overlooked a beautiful square - we kept the window open all night as is was a little warm, but it was... More

On Sunday, 14th December my son and his family arrived at Heathrow to spend Christmas with us. Unfortunately, when they arrived it was very obvious that our eight year old granddaughter had a fever and was not very well at all. We rang the hotel and asked if they could have our rooms available when we arrived (earlier than planned)... More

I was placed in 312 which is about the same size as a wardrobe. It would have been ok if the furniture had been smaller as the hotel appear to use things suited better in a larger room. I had to move furniture around just to be able to get to the bed! Also room was heated to a stupidly... More

Upon arrival we were kept waiting 40 minutes as the room wasn't ready, we found the room small but it was clean, well decorated and a comfortable temperature throughout the stay. The pillows were hard which hasn't been the case at other Grange hotels i have stayed at. The continental breakfast was very good and staff were always at hand... More

Stayed here recently whilst visiting the Albert Hall for an evening performance. Lovely location and ideally situated for the hall along with tube stations about 5 minutes walk away too. Very friendly staff here can't do enough to help and whilst my room was cozy it was clean and of a reasonable standard although the carpet didn't quite fit around... More

Despite being local to London, it is always nice to look forward to stay in 'town.' Set in a beautiful part of London (Kensington), all was set for a great night at the Royal Albert Hall, and a night away from the kids. We were hugely disappointed to be put in a tiny room, where there really wasn't room to... More

Thank you for your comments. The Grange Strathmore is a small 4* townhouse property. It is a listed building within a conservation area. It is completely different from the 5* purpose built Grange St. Paul's Hotel. I regret that your expectations were not fully satisfied on this occasion. More

Stayed here as it looked to be, and was, a great base for going to the Royal Albert Hall for a concert there. The staff are friendly, and the public rooms good. The only real disappointment was our room. I honestly don't think i have ever stayed in such a small room as the one we had. Thankfully we were... More

We stayed in this hotel six nights when we were visiting London and wanted easy access to the tube, museums and shops. We were in room 121 and the room was small - I had to store my suitcase on the window ledge - but it was nicely furnished, clean, quiet, had comfortable beds and the shower was wonderful. Continental... More

The hotel was in a great location for us to go to the Albert Hall and when we arrived found it to be a beautiful building and the receptionist staff were helpful but when we went to our room how disappointed we were. Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
