Here are the totally objective pros and cons of The Stanley House: On the plus side the staff are friendly and booking on the net is trustworthy. You don't even have to pre-pay. The rooms, towels, bedding are clean, everything works, and the quiet location near Victoria tube in central London gives one the feeling that they are in their... More

I strongly believe that no matter what you pay for a room you should expect basic cleanliness and that there is the basic necessities available. We had no plug in the sink and the shower head produced a flow like a dribbling hose pipe. Our room was incredibly hot and you could not open the window as it was on... More

Clean room. I read here it is dirty, but as long as i stayed there (3 nights) the rooms was cleaned and towels were changed every day. Bathroom was pretty small and quite clean (few dirt spots in the corners). Good location - 5 min walk from Victoria Station. Staff was nice, english breakfast good. Good sleep quality, not noisy... I had three good friends of mine come from southern Spain and without speaking to me they booked this hell hole. When they arrived they had the audacity to comment that the room bore no resemblance to the photo that they had of the rooms. When my friends pointed out that the room wasn't clean the receptionist got quite angry... More

Stanley House is affordable, no thrills accommodation that's centrally located in the heart of London. The Hotel itself is very basic. My wife and I stayed in a room on the second floor. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. The room features include a bed, window, small wardrobe, two side draws, a chair, and a small... More

This is a small but friendly hotel. It is only 5 mins walk from Victoria Train and Coach station. Went to London for a few days and this little hotel was an ideal base. It is basic but clean and a cooked breakfast to start the day was a bonus. When there spoke to a couple from Sweden that had... More

I came here by accident after travelling 7 hours on a coach from Blackpool to see my bf of 2 years. After he failed to pick me up on time for the millionth time I dumped him and I feel much better for it lol! I got a cab to this hotel which the driver suggested. I should add that... More

Very close to Victoria station and heart of london. Room suited our basic needs, bed was comfy and clean. Bathroom small but provided what we needed. Our room was on top floor and four flights of stairs so was a bit of a climb but hopefully came away fitter. Breakfast was nice too, egg, sausage and bacon with lots of... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
