Room 41 - Tiny box room! Had a very old smell to it. Bathroom was the size of a cupboard - toilet seat broken, sink tap broken and no hot water! Shower dirty and full of grime! Doors loose on their hinges. Every time someone flushed their toilet we would hear the water come down the pipes in our bathroom... More

This is the third and LAST time we will venture into this DUMP. From the outset it was a disaster. As mentioned by other reviewers the attitude of the receptionist was (is) disgraceful! Our room stunk of must, the bathroom was grubby, the sheets smelt odd, the mattress was rock hard. Breakfast was minuscule & the hygiene standards were non... More

We were staying in the Stanley House between 7th-10th March with my husband during our visit in London. I checked all the reviews and photos on tripadvisor before I booked our room, so I did not have big expectations. We needed only a room to sleep in while we see as many sights as possible in London. The biggest advantages... More

To be honest, it did it's job - we knew it was a "cheaper" hotel but if we were doing anything more than attempting to sleep in the hotel it would have been upsetting. We stayed for 6 nights with plans to go out and explore London every day - so really we needed a place to sleep. If you... More

The location in London is excellent for getting to the central area. Also as it is 5 minutes walk from Victoria station, easy to get to by train. Breakfast served with few options, but adequate for most people. Hotel is clean but needs refurbishment. Downside is small rooms very basic and en-suite has a high step to enter. 4 stars... More

We wanted a room near the Victoria Apollo to see Wicked this hotel was perfect only 10 minute walk, The staff were friendly there was a Freshly cooked Breakfast in the morning and the room was lovely and warm, for central London couldn't be better value at £65 for the night.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
