Was switched from Chysos hotel next door, owned by same people. Receptionist pleasant but carpets dirty, torn, tatty: dark narrow corridors, mouldy tiles and broken panels in bathroom, threadbare carpet in room, broken lights, truly awful and feel sorry for any poor tourist who ends up here. Thumping above on floor late at night complained on phone to reception nothing... More

Booked this hotel as part of a package then read the reviews! Was dreading it, however we found the location perfect and the hotel excellent for the price we paid. We had booked a twin room and were given a suite over 2 floors with lounge area, tea and coffee facilities (with very generous supplies) fridge, 2 tv's and en... More

I have recently stayed with a friend at this hotel and it is the worst place I have stayed in. Checked in only for them to originally not be able to find my friends booking. Once this and been dealt with we were checked in and proceeded to a ground floor room which consisted of the following: - Bedding/new curtains... More

I have stayed for two nights at this hotel which is very reasonably priced for the area. The check in was courteous and efficient and the room was clean. The furniture was tired but useable all that's needed is a pot of paint. The bed was clean and both my companion and I slept well. The bathroom did what it... More

Worst place I have ever stayed. Staff ignorant and unhelpful. Beds ancient and of dubious cleanliness. Carpets horrendous and certainly not for bare feet. Tea came begrudgingly at "breakfast table" and was luke warm. They wouldn't serve cooked breakfast ten minutes before end of breakfast time, despite it being paid for. There was no cutlery or bowls available. Probably the... More

Stayed here for 1 night in May 2014. The hotel is definitely in need of an upgrade but it was an excellent value for London UK. The free WiFi worked OK but was a bit weak. We barely got a signal in the room. The best part was the breakfast. For about 5 pounds there is a breakfast buffet that... More

It is literally 2-5 minutes walk from Paddington main railway station. Alovely little square location with lots of eateries fast and slow all around. There the positives stop. Only one member of staff showed any concern for guests, I will forgive most things if staff are happy to help with any issues...these guys were so apathetic .we queued for 25... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night during November 2013. I chose it as it was on a deal and seemed fairly reasonable for London prices. I was prepared for it to be a tad worn in decor but it was far worse than I expected. The room was small, the bathroom was grubby and it just felt dirty.... More

While we loved the location, staff, and breakfast, the beds were quite uncomfortable. Other than that, this quaint little hotel has a beautiful park and is within very short walking distance to Paddington station, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens. This was the perfect place to stay for us "first timers".
