The Norfolk Plaza is in a brilliant location just a few minutes walk away from Paddington Station, overlooking beautiful gardens and only 10 mins walk away from Hyde Park, Oxford Street etc. There are some great pubs, restaurants, shops and fast food outlets right on the doorstep. However . . . the hotel isn't great. The staff were nice and... More

Rooms weren't clean, there were mould in the building, WiFi didn't work... Breakfast was fine and the location was perfect and there were stores and restaurants nearby the hotel. Next time I'd choose some of the other hotels by the square..

We booked a double room for a 3 night stay in July 2014. We eventually found our room on the second floor. On entering we found it was a suite but only twin beds. Back to reception stating we booked a double. After a search on their computer we were given a double on the 1st floor. Opened the door... More

Stayed in this "hotel" in July 2014. Absolutely vile. Rooms were dirty, had to swap rooms (at the disgruntlement of the staff) due to dirt and old bedding/curtains. Second room was supposedly a suite, had two levels but basically that just gave two dirty areas to look at. The "pull out bed" consisted of a wooden plank with basic mattress.... More

As a cleaner in a 4 star B&B with a high standard of cleanliness I was dreading this hotel after reading all the bad reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised. Yes it needs updating but the 2 rooms we had were clean (not as high as my standards) but clean. Once we stripped the bed of the hairy brown blankets... More

Was switched from Chysos hotel next door, owned by same people. Receptionist pleasant but carpets dirty, torn, tatty: dark narrow corridors, mouldy tiles and broken panels in bathroom, threadbare carpet in room, broken lights, truly awful and feel sorry for any poor tourist who ends up here. Thumping above on floor late at night complained on phone to reception nothing... More

Booked this hotel as part of a package then read the reviews! Was dreading it, however we found the location perfect and the hotel excellent for the price we paid. We had booked a twin room and were given a suite over 2 floors with lounge area, tea and coffee facilities (with very generous supplies) fridge, 2 tv's and en... More

I have recently stayed with a friend at this hotel and it is the worst place I have stayed in. Checked in only for them to originally not be able to find my friends booking. Once this and been dealt with we were checked in and proceeded to a ground floor room which consisted of the following: - Bedding/new curtains... More

I have stayed for two nights at this hotel which is very reasonably priced for the area. The check in was courteous and efficient and the room was clean. The furniture was tired but useable all that's needed is a pot of paint. The bed was clean and both my companion and I slept well. The bathroom did what it... More
