Just returned from a week's stay and will return again next year. The room was small but the bathroom was quite large and everythings was spotlessly clean. Fresh towels every day! Breakfasts were good and filling, the staff are wonderful and the area can't be beat. We've stayed just down the street in past visits but will return to the... More

We stayed here in late October with a group. Rooms were clean, extremely cramped (I'm surprised they were not in violation of some sort of fire code) and outdated. The beds were comfortable and room service was prompt each day. Washrooms were just like the rooms, outdated and clean. The carpeted halls outside the rooms were irregular and slippery if... More

Stayed at the Mitre House in July 2014. The good: the hotel is in a great location. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and well prepared. The beds were comfortable. The place was overall clean and run very well. The Bad: the rooms are small and dated. Very few choices on the TV. The... More

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to express your views following your recent visit. Responding to your review leaves me with a sinking feeling that there are some people you can't quite reach. A 2 star hotel in a wonderful location, clean, with comfortable beds, friendly staff, that is well run and has a delicious cooked breakfast included... More

Stayed in June and had a lovely room on 3rd floor with view over Sussex Gardens. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Am hoping to come back to London in September so will book here again. Only fault (not their's) was my claustrophobia so I couldn't get in the lift but going up and down all the stairs... More

A big thank you to Kate and the rest of the reception staff at the Mitre House in Paddington.Plenty of helpful advise, the staff went out of there way to ensure our stay was memorable.Close to Paddington Railway Station as well Paddington tube, buses, short walk to Hyde Park and array of cafés,restaurants and pubs.Only criticism was the internet(very slow)other than that,a very... This is a simple hotel in a great location. My room was private and had an ensuite and double bed. The breakfast was simple, but did the job. My only negatives would be the elevator (only one that was unbelievably slow) and the fact that my TV didn't get any reception. The hotel staff were very helpful. I'd come back!

Stayed with friends when seeing the Libertines in Hyde Park. Couldn't fault the location as it is right near the park. Rooms were very small and basic but were kept tidy. Hotel reception staff we're inconsistent as some were very nice and polite and others were rather arrogant which took the shine off the weekend. I think because we are... More

This hotel was a revelation as we mostly get a hotel in a poor location. This one was ideal. The Mitre House Hotel, despite its cheapness (£80 per room per night: $100) is spotless and staffed by wonderfully cheerful staff. You also get a cooked breakfast. The location makes it: it is a 5 minute walk to Paddington Station, it... More
