We had booked and payed for 8 nights in October 2013 After a 19 hour flight we arrived at the hotel on Saturday afternoon We were asked to produce the credit card we had paid for the room which we did not bring with us. To my shock we were told that because we did not have that card he... More

Many foreign inexperienced staff, but friendly and enthusiastic. Every request had to be followed up as staff regularly failed with a smile. First room was small but OK. Upgraded to a "Priviledge room" for three. Was similar to a Marriott room. Good location, many attractions within .5 mile, plus two tube stations. Food court across the street with good restaurants.... More

Nice querky hotel. Good location. Wasn't that thrilled though with the layout of the breakfast. Cooked breakfast onthe ground floor of the restaurant and then fruit/cereal etc on the mezzanine floor of the restaurant even the butter/flora for the BURNT toast.

We are here now, day 2, overall a great hotel for the price. I have two recommendations I would make to the hotel is to upgrade the hair dryers, as the one in our room does not blow fast and is not hot compared to USA standards; as well as change out the pillows for more comfortable ones as these... 5 min walk to 2 different tube lines. Great location. Rooms were of decent size, on the smaller side but not cramped. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant was well priced for breakfast and great food. Would stay again.

I stayed on a bedroom that hadn't been refurbished yet. Nevertheless, the experience was pretty good. I have booked it thru an Accor promotion, so it was a good deal. The breakfast is very nice, with a la carte options included. The room is good and so is the location - it's near the Thames River and subway stations.

Arrived on Friday evening to a very warm welcome froma the friendly staff. Our room was a decent size for a central London hotel, with a "double" sofa bed for my daughter (although she did find the mattress a bit hard compared with her own bed at home) and a Nespresso coffee machine in the room with a daily top... Hotel is well located with good access to public transit and sightseeing transportation. An older hotel, but lobby and restaurant areas have been updated. Rooms are clean, standard sized, and reasonably appointed. Wi-Fi and air conditioning both work well. Staff is pleasant, but not well versed in surroundings ( many are not UK nationals.) Lifts are dated, and function marginally.... More

Great location, handy for the tube and many London attractions. This is a standard Mercure hotel, however the staff don't speak good English and can't explain things and the breakfast buffet was a mess and certainly not worth the price £13.95 I think it was - food was dried up and spilt on the floor and buffet counter. Not what... More

We have stayed here several times, as past reports will indicate. It looks not that attractive from the outside, but the lobby, reception and bar area have all been attractively modernised. We enjoyed yesterday the house Merlot in the bar, and the plates of cookies laid out for sampling! The checkin system using tablets is a bit laborious but it... More
