The hotel is basic I stayed a couple of weeks ago for one night with my niece. Our room was at the top of the house and there are no lifts so be prepared to climb stairs. The room itself was basic, we had 3 single beds in our room, they were clean but not the comfiest in the world.... More

The good points were - cheap, clean and location. The downside - Our twin room was tiny, two 'portly' people would have difficulty moving around. A very very high step to the bathroom was not a problem for us but would be impossible for anyone with a physical infirmity. Poor service in the eating area. It is a place for... More

The Lords Hotel is more a hostel than a hotel and is very basic. The room was spartian but clean and served it's purpose as such (If you are a light sleeper you might however have a problem). The location is it's greatest value but I would not recommend Lords Hotel except for young people in their early 20's.

This hotel is well situated and cheap but sadly that's where the good news ends. The room was tiny and cramped and the shower/toilet pod was even worse. We stayed one night but barely got any sleep due to the noisy neighbours and the paper thin walls. The comings and goings from the room next door went on all night.... More

Good hotel, the position is veri nice, central, close to the tube; clean rooms. It's a pity there is no elevator for whose upstairs, especially when you have a heavy luggage. And the Internet fee is not that cheap.

5 minutes from the bay's water tube station. Lots of great restaurants around if you don't want to wander off far at night. Room was a triple room.... Three sets of bunk beds which was quite comical with the children, but this s what we booked. Very reasonable rates and with breakfast included you can't go wrong!

Great price for location, but beware it's not a luxury hotel. You get what you pay for. If you just want a clean and comfortable place to stay at a great price, then this the hotel is for you. Beware of included breakfast though, it's not very substantial and you may need to supplement.

We booked the hotel cause it was not so expensive and not far from the shops. It was very basic, but clean. The room for 3 had 3 one person beds and the bathroom was very small. But for a citytrip it was enough. For breakfast we ve got to make a choice of 4things,no buffet.

Smallest bathroom I have ever seen. A train line runs at the rear of the hotel and having a bottom floor room is almost unbearable from 5 am till 11 pm at night. No sleep in at this place. Though the bed was probably the nicest I have slept in ever!

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
