Fabulous old building 10 min walk from Oxford street and Euston Station. I paid £70 including breakfast and was amazed to be so close to everything. Brilliant pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes on the doorstep. Yes, the hotel is old and looking a little tired so it could do with an update but the sheets were crisp, clean and white... More

The only people that would appreciate this hotel are homeless people. I paid £80 to stay one night in a single room and it was no bigger than a shoe box and was falling to bits. The door was hanging off, and the tiles in the toilet were horrendous. Look elsewhere for a hotel and don't stay here.

The carpets on the stairs and landings are pretty dirty which put me off and the lift is terrifying but our room was really clean and not as small as I expected (we got the double room!) Shower and toilet also clean. Our room was very very warm which made it difficult for me to sleep though. Staff are helpful... More

I pretty much sat up all night, hoping I wouldn't catch anything. It's filthy. The room they put me in was damp and mouldy and within a few minuets triggered my asthma, so I asked to be moved to another room. They charged me an extra £6 just to be moved to a room that wouldn't put me in hospital!!... More

I stayed here when the normal hotel I stay at was sold out. The front desk clerk was friendly and explained that I had to take the lift to the top floor and then walk up a flight of stairs to get to my room. When I got to my room I was shocked. It was barely bigger than the... More

This hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and improvement. The lift is old with peeling walls and smells of oil. The carpets are heavily stained and dirty in all hall and stairways. We were on the 4th floor. The heating couldn't be altered and it became very hot at times. The water runs hot from the cold tap in... More

I stayed here for one night in May 2015 and I was appalled. Not only was the room the size of a single bed, the worst part was that it was very dirty, there was no hot water and the locks on the doors were insecure. It may be cheap, but do not be fooled.

Wanted somewhere cheap to stay between hospital treatment. Should have known better. Bed was reasonably comfortable and TV worked, but otherwise.... Carpets grubby. Lift to all floors meant direct access to 1 room per floor and the rest required climbs of several stairs. Water power in shower very feeble, soap rack hanging off wall. Fridge didn't work. Final straw, breakfast... More

I stayed here one night in March with a friend. In an excellent location behind the BBC. The room was spacious but dated. Beds and bedding clean but old. I won't mention too much about the bathroom, but there was no way I'd step in the bath, dirt round the plug hole and tide marks which had probably been there... More
