We booked this hotel as part of a package theatre break, mainly because it was a bargain price for B&B and theatre ticket. After then researching the hotel, and reading the reviews posted on this website, I was beginning to dread what we would find, but resigned myself to the fact that it would just be a place to ‘rest... more

This hotel is very near to the Bayswater Underground Line, which means it is great for being able to explore London. However, the rooms are very small, as are the lifts, so if like me you don't like small spaces, it's not for you. If you're hoping to spend time actually in the hotel, then again, I wouldn't recommend it.... more

very outdated hotel good service at desk- very small hot room , very small lift - very narrow halls. cold breakfast- clean food service area. great location to sight see form. A coat of paint and some wallpaper- would do a world of good new bathroom although small. more

Having read other peoples negative comments about this hotel, it was with with severe doubts that I arrived here on 31 October. My doubts were unfounded. THe room was very clean and comfortable with tea & coffee facilities plus the usual toiletries. The bathroom was spotless and the room overlooked the garden so was very little noise with the exception... more

Hotel has seen better days and foyer has the clutter of a hostel. Room was reasonable and clean but quite a bit of noise from the street. Staff were civil but could not be described as helpful. Breakfast was poor; make your own toast, tinned grapefruit, reconstituted orange juice etc. I paid about £25 pppn and as such was ok... more

The hotel is in a good location and we hardly spent any time in the hotel which was a good thing. It is close to Hyde Park, underground and bus routes including the tour buses. It is in serious need of some decoration and updating as it is tired and tatty. The room was really small and the en suite... more

I agree with those who wonder where all the poor reviews come from. Yes, the public rooms could use redecorating and the rooms are small, but we had a very good stay in an excellent location. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was remodelled and the neighborhood was quiet.... more

The hotel is great for visiting London. It is in zone 1 for the tube so tickets are cheap! Easy to get to, great value, go on the internet to get a good rate! Our room was a triple room and it was in the basement and small for 3 people, however the bathroom was big. Even though the room... more

The hotel is very close to 2 tube stations and lots of shops/restaurants. There are lots of people always walking around so it felt very safe. The rooms are very tiny, but a good value for the money. A small breakfast is included which was adequate. The only bad part of the hotel are the elevators which are the smallest... more

I normally stay in small, basic, budget hotels in Europe and really don't have very high expectations. I am always pretty happy with the standard of the rooms and service. This would have to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The basic attention to detail and care just wasn't there. The fire alarm went off at 3am... more
