354£ to spend 3 nights in the basement! 5 people crammed in a room not even fit for 1. The room smelled like stale beer and cigarettes. The staff mopped the hallway floor with dirty water and the whole place smelled like mildew! No WIFI in the room and the WIFI in the lobby was (when it worked) terrible at... More

This ho(s)tel would probably have 1 or max 2 stars in continental Europe. I'm still trying to erase the memories about the hotel. Four days stay here made visit to London, unfortunately, unforgettable. Only good thing about it is the location. The worst ho(s)tel ever starting from the rooms, beds, toilets and quality of the food. Fortunately there is TESCO... More

My experience of this hotel was by far the worst I have ever encountered in my life. Rooms were dark, smelt strongly of smoke and were in great need of TLC. Such a shame as the only bonus was that this hotel was in a good area with a nice location and has far more potential. Much of my discomfort... More

The only good things about hotel is the location and amenities are close. You definitely get what you pay for. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. We tried breakfast once and will eat out at a restaurant till we leave. This hotel is a dive in nicer part of London.

Rooms overall value for money, even if lots of details could be improve. The check in day we waited 10 minute for the receptionist to show up and she could have been much warmer and more professional. NO access to internet, although wifi is complementary, also the venue for the breakfast is far too small, guests need to book a... More

The worst hotel EVER. I stayed there with a group of students from 17th June to the 6th July 2015. 20 days!!! A nightmare!! There were huge groups of people ( especially students) arriving and leaving almost everyday, at every time. On the ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor there were mice in the rooms. There Wasn't any Wi-fi... More

The hotel was in a very quiet area, a short walk from the underground. The staff were quite friendly, the lifts were working and the room and bathroom were perfectly clean. I didn't rate the breakfast, I'm sure they could do better than what tasted like diluted orange squash! But on the whole it was fine for one night.

I travelled here a week ago with a school party of 35 children. Having read the previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive about what to expect and was actually dreading it. Upon arrival however I was pleasantly surprised: The bathroom was good, with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water, the beds were clean, the staff helpful and... More

I stayed there one week and we chose it as it's close to the Bayswater tube station. It is on the cheaper side and in the end you get what you paid for: the rooms I found to be quite cozy and clean, especially the bathroom which quite frankly I did not expect. The food however is quite lacky -... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
