Stayed one night in this Bayswater hotel when i was in London for a concert. It was the cheapest en-suite i could get and therefore i didn`t have big expectations. When i arrived i was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was tiled and clean, the rest of the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent with toast,jam,... More

After reading numerous bad reviews before our stay, we were slightly worried about our visit to the Pembridge Palace hotel. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by our stay. Rooms were basic but clean and for the price we paid, very decent!! It was by far the cheapest hotel, not only in the great area of Bayswater, but the whole... More

To be honest, having read some of the reviews, I was quite apprehensive about staying here! However. I was pleasantly surprised. The road the hotel is on is a bit scruffy looking compared to the rest of Bayswater. The reception area is well laid out and clean and the receptionist who checked me in (youngish chap who spoke excellent Italian)... More

Stayed here for three nights. I was quite impressed with the lobby upon arrival. When I got to my room on the fourth floor, however, having ordered a double and expecting a double bed, it was three single beds pushed together (all at different heights). The window did not close properly and the curtains didn't cover the window. This was... More

I love the Bayswater area, and we where just looking for the cheapest hotel to stay in and had no expectations at all. But the bed was comfortable, the bathroom (with bathtub ) was fresh, the TV had a lot of channels if you want to rest your legs . We had a room on the third floor. Usually we... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in the basementroom. We checked-inn in the morning, but there were no clean rooms availible at that time. So, we left our travelbags at the reception, very helpfull and nice of them. The hotelroom was clean and small with a nice private bathroom. The breakfast was free and far from good. We didnt expect... More

In February I stayed in a 4 bed room with some friends in the Pembridge Palace Hotel and it was an... interesting experience. The room itself was tiny and every inch of space was used by furniture. The four bed room had 2 floors, a ground floor with one bed, a desk and the bathroom and a second floor with... More

This place was awful. It was dirty the bathroom was so small you could not close the door whilst stood at the sink. I was in room 307, the tv didnt work I had to crawl around the floor for a plug socket. The showers were cold in the morning and overall was thoroughly disappointed

Stayed for one night here and after seeing reviews I was a little worried to say the least. Overall it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, it was clean and good enough for what we needed although the room was a little cramped and the TV wasn't working. Being on the 4th flour did mean that the we couldn't... More

No it's not a 5 star hotel, but for the price it's very very worth it! The location is fantastic, The bathroom was brand new, with GREAT hot water pressure, the room was warm and had plently of extra blankets and towels, the check out isn't until 11am and you get breakfast! What a great bargain, I slept very well... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
