Budget hotel - with poor service. Room descriptions on booking.com lack honesty - My room said private bathroom outside of room - that was actually up three flights of stairs ! Room cold and noisy. Mattress on bed was lumpy and tired - and I woke up with multiple bites. WiFi in the over crowded lobby only - packed with... More

The pembridge palace hotel is a rather cheap hotel, but that also means you shouldn't expect much. As a solo traveller, I got one of the worst rooms: between the beeping elevators and the fire door that slammed shut everytime someone had to go through. The breakfast isn't much, some toast, yoghurt and cereal. Also, wifi is only in the... More

As must of the low stars hotel in London. You get what you pay for. Take it for the good location, a bed and something to eat. The breakfast is allright but no thrill. I could easy stay here again. You have two tubes very near by, and you can easy walk to Oxford Street.

Do not expect anything, when I stayed here 27.08-29.08 2015 there was ANNOYING lady on the reception, I had a feeling like she don't care about anything and hating on me soooo much. What have I done to her? Room is under an angle, like you can feel like floor is going down from one wall to another, horrible dizzy... More

Three night stay in central London, two adults and three kids (two of these teenagers classed as adults). Wanted somewhere as a base to sleep and breakfast while sightseeing and going to shows. Facilities not important. Hotel was clean, decent shower and WiFi in reception. TV and kettle in room. Rooms small but fine for stay and beds comfy. Staff... More

The whole experience was bad unless for the location which is great and probably it s the only reason why they can keep on doing businness. Unfriendly staff, disgusting breakfast, poor internet connection and bad cleanliness.

The staff was very friendly and obliging, the room was as expected in London (small but sufficient for 2 people), overlooking Prince's square, the neighborhood was nice and safe, many shops nearby, Bayswater station just around the corner, location was GREAT. Breakfast was too poor to even comment upon! Although there was everyday housekeeping, the windows and balcony were filthy.

My friend and I stayed here for one night and found the hotel as a late deal on booking.com. The price for the room was £40 and as a late booking we thought this was a good deal. The reviews were okay, some mixed but nothing too bad. We were provided with a twin bedroom in the basement of the... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
