The location is fantastic and the staff couldn't be faulted. My wife and I pushed the boat out and had a balcony room. The room was lovely, but some silly little things mildy annoyed us. The garden it is completely useless but looks good on the website, as no one used it even on the hottest day of the year.... More

We visited this property with family to celebrate our grandsons graduation. This happens to be our favorite hotel because the staff always makes you feel at home. My husband is a Marriott Platinum member and stays exclusively at Marriotts when possible, this has consistently been one of the best. Minor complaint would be that every morning when we went to... We stayed here for a book signing in April - now the signing itself was a disater and I will not penalise the hotel for this, however I did not find the room or its facilities to be anything special. It's location was handy for shopping on Oxford street, however I felt that staff were not really bothered with us... More

There on business so early morning arrival. Room was ready, so bonus points! Staff attentive and professional. Beds and bedding nice, newer baths too. Elevators are slow as, well- a slow elevator. You can walk to Oxford Street shopping with Selfridge's, Debenham's and many smaller retailers. Dozens of pubs and Italian restaurants in the area. One disappointment was the Marriott... More

We often stay in Marriott hotels when my husband travels for business and have always counted on the consistency of their hotels. This hotel we found exceptional. The executive lounge was wonderful. Quality of the food was the best we've found. Very generous selection.

Right from the start everything went the wrong way. Early check-in not happening. Upgrade not possible unless you are willing to pay extra(gold member). Room small semi modern with no view. Bathroom small clean but needs updating. Lounge in the basement small for number of people. Elevators make you feel insecure. Restaurant grossly overrated. Lobby small and cramp. People definitely... Dear christopher b Thank you for taking the time to submit a review on TripAdvisor following on from your recent stay with us. Whilst we always try to assist in the case of an early check in this is not always possible due to our occupancy the night before. The only way we are able to guarantee an early check... More

I sleep in hotels over 60 nights a year and this hotel is one of the best I've stayed in for years. The rooms are clean & modern. Good for both business or vacation. What sets this property apart is service. I was traveling with family ranging in age from 15 to 86. I had 3 rooms, & one member... More

Great location. But rooms are very very small. Bathroom was incredibly right - could barely get one person in it. Tried to check in early, but the room wasn't ready. Fair enough, so went out for a walk and to waste a few hours. I was told I would get a call when it was ready, but that never happened.... More

Having driven from the southern coast with a rental car issues, we were weary when we arrived. The people at the desk made us feel welcome, gave us directions to some sights close by and got us settled into a lovely room. It was as if they sensed we needed some TLC. Later the following day we discovered we had... More

I stayed at this hotel as I was attending an event in the same hotel. Planned for 5 nights, in the first night I could not Waite till the morning to check out. Overpriced , very small rooms. Bath was extremely small to take one person. No space for a large pice of luggage. Break fast very poor. Location is... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
