Stayed at the Marriott Grosvenor House last night .. It was a lovely experience check-in was simple door staff were very helpful .. rooms were just the right temperature not baking hot like some. Only bug point Marriott Guest WiFI is free in the Hotel but the rooms are ridiculously expensive .. Most people nowadays rate a hotel on whether... More

Rooms are fairly large and well appointed. Staff is very accommodating. When we had a problem with the plumbing in our room, we were quickly moved to another one. The Executive Lounge is well worth the cost.

It's my 2nd time to stay in this hotel. Excellent service, verrry nice gym and comfortable beds! I was surprised to see the housekeeping staff at 4 am near the banquet halls.... Everything clean and fresh even inside the gym. I will be coming back, definitely especially now that I am getting used to the gym equipments!

A dreadful experience, having frequented this hotel some 4 times, this has to be the worst. The Marriott have lost touch with their guests, they have just become so corporate. Bookings are done at a call centre, that should be a warning. When you arrive at the hotel it is pretty much like processing through immigration. They can't even get... More

Booked an executive room using reward points. Turned up at 5 pm to be told that my room was no longer available because an existing guest had extended their stay by an extra day. I was offered a lesser room with a waiver of supplement. I said this was unnacceptable practice and was told there were no other options. I... More

Had an overnight stay in this hotel for a Xmas shopping trip having stayed here before 3 years ago. It's in a great location just off Oxford Street - ideal for nipping back and forth with heavy bags! We stayed in a junior suite which wasn't that big but was nicely furnished and had a very comfortable 4 poster bed.... More

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was far better than the Marriott Marble Arch. The location is excellent and convenient to the tube. The concierge, Romeo, was exceptional in helping with site seeing and restaurants. The room was larger than in most London hotels. The club lounge was one of the best if you are an elite... More

I am a platinum level member. We stayed here for six nights. Our first room (which my wife never saw) was on the 4th floor. Small, funky ceiling, very little light. I requested a different room with some space and they gave me 145. This room was spacious but it was on the first floor. It was great except it... More

I've been looking for a perfect London hotel for about a year. This place has it all #1) easy walk to the Central line going straight to the financial district, #2) this is THE BEST area in London for 5 star restaurants (Murano, Scotts). You can entertain in the evening and walk 2-3 blocks back to the hotel. Lovely quiet... More

We were fairly happy at this hotel, which was our first visit to this Marriott. Our requirements were more than met by the hotel. The location is perfect, a few blocks away from the Bond tube station, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and very central. If you stay here, make sure you visit St. Christopher Place, a small area... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
