We accridenatlly got locked into this hotel via a computer glitch. We could not cancel even though we are gold members and I wanted to stay at the JW. Other reviewers have mentioned this issue. I tried to get out of the hotel but was forced to stay. When I told the GMs rude assistant that I would review this... More

My go to hotel in London. Very central in Mayfair. Nice rooms, Gordon Ramsey grill on site does nice steaks. Close to Hyde Park which is great to get out for a run. Surrounded by great traditional bars and a close walk to Piccadilly, traveller square etc. just beside major shopping street for those that are so inclined!

This is a lovely hotel with great rooms in a fantastic location (Grosvenor Square). The staff are very friendly and deal with requests quickly. This could easily have been a 5 star experience except for the fact that standard amenities in our room were neglected, leaving us feeling very underwhelmed. There was a nice minibar set up complete with menu... More

Good central hotel which has been refurbished quite nicely. I'm writing this review a few months after visiting and the funny thing is that so little of it stands out. All the staff predictably Russian or Polish. It was all perfectly comfortable, but nothing terribly memorable. Odd to find myself saying that, but that's how it was.

A hotel in London for me is all about location and this one is perfect. Blocks from Oxford street, bond street station, in Mayfair with lots of restaurants. I would tecommend using a third party booker though. I have Marriott rewards and the price was three times higher through Martiott. Will stay here again

I feel compelled to review this hotel because the staff here really contributed to our enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this hotel due to their incredible staff, they were friendly, accommodating, informative and tentative to our needs. The rooms are comfortable and the location was also excellent. The hotel is 3 blocks from getting the tour busses around London, as well... More

We stayed at the Marriott and ate at Maze. We had a great room and the staff were very helpful. The Luggage Room is a great bar with very friendly staff and fantastic cocktails!! The hotel is in such a central location. It's not cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be, given the location. Highly recommended.

I love coming to this hotel whenever I'm in London. The minute you walk in, you get a warm reception. You are quickly checked in and everything is so simple. Rooms are fantastic and the beds are comfortable. Food is good as well. Location wise you can not get a better spot, I prefer this hotel to any of the... More

Lovely hotel in a great central location. We booked rooms for the night. We got allocated rooms one with King and the other with queen size bed. Both rooms were well kept, though the views are varied so ask at check in. King size room was much nicer and airy. Staff were pleasant and professional. Only down side was some... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
