Initial given room 601. This is top floor and directly below the main air conditioning generator for the building. Sounded like a plane taking off and the room vibrated! Moved to first floor room. Which was quiet but a tight fit. Maid quite keen in morning tapping on doors to see who has moved out. This is fine but tapping... More

I wish the hotel room designers had to spend one night in the rooms they design. I spent several nights in a room with two beds with my sister and we were bruised by the time we checked out because of the beds being on a wooden platform with sharp corners. We put the floor lamp on a table by... More

I reviewed this hotel last November. I wasn't completely satisfied with my last stay, although it wasn't a bad one. I ended my review with "it doesn't measure up with its siblings". I booked two nights again hoping that things would change. I stayed there during my visit to the London Book Fair last week. I can gladly say, what... More

We stayed at this hotel twice in a two week period. We chose this hotel because it had two double beds available and we were traveling with our daughter. Overall the hotel was excellent. The entrance to the hotel is located on Duke Street. The rooms were clean and for the most part very quiet. I heard very little road... More

My mother and I stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night in March. The staff were extremely professional at all times. As a Platinum member, my mother had requested an early check-in, but upon arrival, the room we had booked was not ready. The young lady at the desk, whom I believe is named Matilda, dealt with the situation... More

Fist class hotel with modern rooms and friendly stuff. Very clean and safe. Breakfast could be on a higher level but still very decent and fresh. What I was missing was a simple coffee bar and after an exhausting day in London I would have appreciated a Sauna / Spa. However, the location is just great and the rates are... More

Really liked this hotel. Very comfy beds. Very attentive staff. Fabulous restaurant (Maze Grill) run by Gordon Ramsay - primarily steak but also some sushi. We had the cheapest steak in the menu (c£30 each) and it was very very good. Breakfast was expensive but hotels often are! Really recommend this hotel

Just spent a few days at the Marriott in Grosvenor square. This is a great hotel with great accommodations. The staff is extremely professional and accommodating. Nicely located, very convenient to tubes, walking distance to attractions. .

I like to take my time in reviewing hotels so here is my latest review. I stayed at the Marriott for two nights in a two bed room facing the park. The location for us was wonderful, right near Oxford Street and easy access to the tube, taxi's etc. The actual hotel Lobby and the arrival of our stay was... More

I like giving long reviews because I like to give as realistic of an impression as I experienced. First of all, this property is in a tremendous location for first timers to London. Close to Bond Street Tube stop, Oxford Street shopping. Pretty much around 1 mile or less to most attractions. Door, Bellman, and concierge staff are excellent. Friendly,... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
