Nice, residential district. The location is not bad, by far "calmer" is to use Pimlico underground station than Victoria (pretty enjoyable way streets, less traffic). This "hotel" is really a hostel converted to a hotel. Surely this is not a real hotel. Let's say it's a hostel class "+". Very narrow stairs, small rooms, VERY small bed, bathroom with shower... We stayed here whilst visiting London for the evening. Room was comfortable, we had a twin queen sized beds in the room which were very comfortable. Only problem was that the boiler had stopped working in the morning and we had no hot water. They did sort this out when we pointed this out to them.

We stayed in a 3-bed-room for 4 nights. The bed was fine, unfortunately the double bed is definitely too small for two persons. The carpet on the floor wasn't that clean and tidy, we suppose that they didn't vacuum-cleaned it every day. The bathroom isn't that big, the shower wasn't clean, there were still hair on the wall of the... More

Simple, clean hotel, perfect location just straight down the road from Victoria coach station, which was just a few minutes walk away. The area around the hotel felt safe. The only downer was the room was very hot but was a nice size with free wifi

Hotel is in reasonable location of Victoria station, but that's all. We had a triple room for a one night stay, the room was adequate for that purpose. But we were placed in what can be described as a room in the basement next to breakfast room. The shower did not flow away as it should and any 'gunge' came... More

This was our second trip to London so we can compare to another hotel. The Room was clean, beds were fine and comfortable. The bathroom needs a lttle work with sticky taps and sink but still fair. We stayed in the quad room so space was at a premium with four cases but still we expected this. The location was... More

The Hanover Hotel was quite comfortable for us. We were a family of 6, so had two rooms, 2 in one room and 4 in the family room. Beds quite comfortable and shower ok, breakfast sufficient, even for our three teenage girls. Location is excellent, with comfortable walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, Big Ben, and lots of very... More

This is a nice little hotel, perfectly placed for getting around because of being within walking distance of Victoria Station, with a smiling staff that goes out of its way to be helpful. Lovely, safe, old Georgian neighborhood with narrow up and down construction. (climbing stairs is good excercise) Old means historic, so expect some wear and tear, that's its... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
