The location of this hotel is amazing. The staff are so friendly. However, they don't have any coffee and tea bar and there is no kettle and when we asked for one they charged us for it. Note: if you like to sleep quietly, this hotel might not be ideal for you , as you will feel the underground.

Very nice hotel close to the Underground. Easy access to explore London. A wonderful retreat after a days exploration. Large, spaciuos rooms with very comfortable beds. Possibility to take a bath, Love that. Tasty breakfast with lots of fresh fruits.

Not happy to have been falsely accused of consuming minibar items we had not paid for. No apology received. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast only acceptable. Not a hotel for someone with a gluten allergy.

An excellent stay - very helpful staff, a great bedroom and public sitting rooms. We only sampled the restaurant for breakfast - which was a little chaotic due to staff sickness - but the food was good and the service friendly none the less! We plan to return.

The hotel has enormous charm and gives a feeling of warmth and comfort. The rooms are well maintained and contain all you need for your stay. The manager and staff are friendly and ensure anything you require is arranged quickly and efficiently. The location is ideal for museums and shopping with a tube station close by. We wished we could... More

This hotel has a friendly atmosphere, is clean but a little on the expensive side. The room we stayed in was adequate but a little small for the price. There were NO tea / coffee making facilities in the bedroom; not even a kettle.

The Pelham Hotel is a great Boutique Hotel situated in South Kensington, perfect for Museums and The Royal Albert Hall, also for West end shopping. There are some fabulous restaurants and cafes locally. We had great service from the reception staff at check in, our room was not quite ready but we offered coffee in the lounge and by the... More

We booked 2 nights in a Deluxe Double at a cost of £493.00 - excluding breakfast. Our original room, 309, was nice enough but aircon wasn't working and as it was at the very top of the hotel it was extremely hot so we had to move to room 107 - apparently the only other room in the 51 room... More

I have stayed at the Pelham since shortly after it originally opened in the late 1990's by Kit Kemp. Kemp is known for several boutique hotels in London that reflect the English country house feel. Pelham changed management a few years ago and while the hotel has kept the same decor and ambience, the room I had was quite tired... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
