I was upgraded to the Kings Suite and frankly did not want to leave. Staff were amazing - I've not long been back from NYC where I stayed at a very well known 5th Avenue hotel and NOTHING compares. Every aspect of the hotel I enjoyed - from checking it out in the first place, the personal service from Mark... More

Very well placed hotel in the heart of Kensington and within walking distance of Harrods. Faultless service from the polite and courteous staff. Good size room. 1 minute walk from South Kensington tube station. I will return to this hotel if I need to be in this part of London. (only negative is that it can be noisy outside and... More

In the middle of Kensington, a quiet place, but shops and restaurants all around it. Ideally located to explore the city. Nicely decorated rooms. Very charming. I was there for one night on a business trip. Staff service was excellent. Will come back again. Good value for money.

Great location which is easily accessible by tube and car, The Pelham Hotel and its customer service driven team is a really solid find! Working with the team at the hotel is easy, simple and certainly takes the stress out of any highly pressured event that needs to flow perfectly! The team ensured that my time spent preparing for, as... More

Very nice hotel, close to subway, restaurants, pubs and museums. The decoration of the rooms are individual and the materials used is of high quality and good taste. The breakfast is pricy but delicious.

I have stayed in The Pelham many times and I had many different rooms. If one is lucky the room is spacious and quiet but it can be the opposite as well. Some of the rooms are so noisy that sleeping with open windows will require ear plugs. Others have a marvelous view over the garbage area. The staff is... More

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your review of two halves. Perhaps I can start by thanking you for your positive comments in relation to the team, and in relation to our great location. The hotel was created out of 3 town houses and so no room is the same. We do not allocate rooms by luck but according... More

The hotel is located near the Natural History Museum and a ten minute walk from Harrods. Plus on its doorstep are plenty of independent shops and restaurants. The hotel is note huge and is therefore personal and the staff are friendly and professional. The decor is what you would expect from a chic boutique hotel, very stylish and in corporate.... More

Just stayed at the Pelham for 5 nights in a Deluxe Twin room. The beds were amazing, though the twin beds are pushed together so you would only want to share a room with someone you didn't mind sleeping right next to. Service was great. Hotel was also in a fantastic spot right next to the tube.

Lovely Victorian property with period features. Bedroom was a little too hot for me but I could open the window. Be aware that if you have a room at the front there will be traffic noise even with window shut but it seems a small inconvenience. Hotel very handy for museums, Chelsea and underground. My second visit as had stayed... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
