Stayed there for a couple of days. It's very charming and cosy. Rooms are small but well planned and decorated. Breakfast I thought was expensive. It's two blocks away from south Kensington tube. Staff was ok, could be a little more, knowledgeable about the surroundings and London but that's ok. I was not a problem.

Homey feeling with an expensive touch. Close to nicer parts of London. Small rooms but fits perfectly for one person. Very nice staff. Quite expensive but the comfortable beds and pillows makes it worth it. Breakfast not included but plenty of places to have it in the surroundings.

The room was lovely and the location was brilliant, with the museums and Harrods all close by. It's right in the middle of Georgian teracces and just a short walk from South Kensington if you want to go further afield. But the breakfast is not always included and that bumps up the cost - so be warned!

Adorable little hotel! Clean, friendly staff, gorgeous location. We were able to check-in earlier than expected and leave our luggage for the day after check-out. It was perfect for our trip to London!

We chose this hotel based in its location, which is situated conveniently between Kings Rd and Fulham Rd. The staff were really nice and friendly, the hotel was clean and quite nicely if sparsely furnished and designed - the rooms and bathrooms are very small. Not bad for the price compared to other hotels in the area. We were guided... More

Very well located (5 minutes walk to South Ken tube) this is a small pleasant hotel which offers reasonable value and a quiet haven. The building has been very well refurbished and my room, although rather small, was very comfortable and clean with a decent bathroom (although I wish hotels didn't go for these 'designer' sinks in bathrooms: they look... The Sydney House is perfectly located for visits to the Royal Brompton Hospital, just 300m away, which is why we chose it. Parking is a major issue - remote and expensive. Staff were excellent, professional, helpful and warm. Room was simple and well appointed, but tiny with just room for the double bed. No tea/coffee making facilities. Paid £149 for... More

I picked this hotel as it is almost right next to the Royal Brompton Hospital, where I had been staying for a few days. It is a small hotel with just 21 rooms over four floors. We were greeted warmly on arrival and checked in rather efficiently. Making our way up to the room we noted the very small lift... More

We stay here a lot. It is very clean, comfortable especially the beds. Perfectly positioned for South Kensington tube, hospitals, museums and also the Kings Rd. We prefer the view from the front room. The rooms are small but well furnished.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
