If you remove size from the equation, this hotel is a 10. However, it is in the city so you know it will be small. The room is comfortable, well maintained, and quiet. The location is excellent. It is a short walk to the South Ken station, good pubs and restaurants.

A warm, welcoming and quiet hotel in Chelsea. Lovely staff and modern, comfortable rooms offering a perfect and private retreat. Not much more you could ask for really. I will certainly be a repeat customer.

Had to be moved due to drain smell inroom on arrival. I was offerd a free breakfast as compensation, which was not really good enough, and the brakfast was acceptable. An expensive hotel not really upto expectation.

Very Comfortable room. Quite street in a great location. We have stayed in different areas and thought we would give Chelsea a try. It was a delightful neighborhood. The hotel room was cheerful clean and modern. Rooms on the small size but most rooms in London are small. The staff was very helpful. Would return to the Sydney House

The rooms are small but clean and furnished modern + practical. We had a room to the street and left the window open during the night which was a mistake as workers began their work on the construction site just below on the street on Saturday morning. Very nice and helpful staff. The umbrellas provided were much appreciated in the... More

We chose to stay here as our youngest daughter was in The Royal Brompton hospital and needed to be close by . My husband and eldest daughter shared a twin room as only one parent was allowed to stay overnight at the hospital - The room was large comfortable and clean - the lift is very small so a trek... Shockingly small room. Traffic noise unacceptable. Equally minute shower that flooded on use. Nowhere to sit and study which is what my son needed to do last weekend for his GCSEs. For the same price I could/should have booked No. 11 Cadogan Gardens. Staff 'forgot' to place my order. Stair carpets filthy. Lift so small I had to go in... More

Attractive genuine London town house. Noisy at the front over Sydney Street, but has efficient double glazing. Very quiet at the back over a mews walk. Situated in pleasant "Chelsea and Kensington". Very clean. Light smart rooms, of compact sizes. Comfortable beds and excellent bedding. Nice foreign staff. There is no kettle nor hair dryer in the room but apparently... More

Stayed there for a couple of days. It's very charming and cosy. Rooms are small but well planned and decorated. Breakfast I thought was expensive. It's two blocks away from south Kensington tube. Staff was ok, could be a little more, knowledgeable about the surroundings and London but that's ok. I was not a problem.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
