Its a small hotel in the heart of Chelsea. it is elegant, well maintained and has very welcoming and professional staff. The room was small but intelligently laid out and given the neighborhood the lack of space is understandable - and frankly adds to the charm of the hotel. It does not have amenities such as a gym but there... More

When in London for business I almost always stay at Sydney House. Impeccable and comfortable rooms, friendly service, good breakfast, fantastic location and very competitive price range! I totally recommend this place!

Stayed at Sydney House so we could get to the Chelsea Flower Show first thing in the morning. Lovely, clean room. Had a great night's sleep, so the beds must be good! Just what we needed. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so can't comment about that, but the staff were extremely helpful and attentive.

Amazing location and simple, stylish accommodation. Staff could not have been more friendly and rooms were well designed, light, airy and spotlessly clean. No chintz! Would highly recommend to all my friends.

As always a very nice stay in this cosy boutique hotel. Very comfy bed. Good breakfast. Clean and very reasonably priced. A great location and in walking distance to great restaurants. A great find. Definitely will stay again when next in London

If you remove size from the equation, this hotel is a 10. However, it is in the city so you know it will be small. The room is comfortable, well maintained, and quiet. The location is excellent. It is a short walk to the South Ken station, good pubs and restaurants.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
