I regularly stay in this area for work. Usually at another hotel, but this one had a good price just now. I've stayed here before and it was ok, but today...not so much! The first room they gave me was up two long flights of stairs. I asked for a room with lift access as anyone could see I was... More

The location was good. This hotel is only a 3 star in my opinion. We were in a superior room, but this was questionable to me as it was basically all you would get in a premier inn. The tv was flat screen but only had 4 channels and the remote was very old not even a sleep timer. The... More

The hotel is located about 150 m from Gloucester Road metro station. Our room (No. 405) was very small - but actually is was a "micro suite" as there was even small entrance room and a separate little bathroom ;-). Nevertheless the room was big enough for a French double/queen size bed (a king size bed would not have fit... More

This was for us as 3 siblings to celebrate the 50th birthday of one of us, with a show at the Royal Albert Hall, a meal and an overnight stay in London. We came from Kent, Somerset and Wiltshire so London was the ideal meeting point and the Cromwell is so well placed for the RAH. The staff at the... More

The location is perfect close to everything you need from London. That's the best bit. Room was tired looking the window was broken & fell out twice, the ceiling needed some attention, the rail in the bathroom came off, the tv was unwatchable. The restaurant was chaos & couldn't serve gluten free bread. There was no organisation at all. The... More

Stayed here for two nights and was in two minds before I came as I had read very mixed reviews . Firstly I had read a lot that the staff were rude but I can honestly say I had no issue with any staff member at all- infact the lady who checked us in even let us check in early... More

The second time we have stayed here and continue to find it great value for money for the central London location. The staff are pleasant and the breakfast is generous. The rooms are not super luxurious but the beds are very comfortable. Try and get a garden room in the summer. Ask for a room at the back if you... More

I found this hotel to be excellent for what we wanted: 1. A room for under £100 2. Quiet and clean 3. Within walking distance of the Albert Hall. 4. Near to somewhere with a good breakfast. 5. Easy walk or tube journey from Victoria. We paid £76 for a very small but perfectly adequate room with a tiny balcony... More

We found this hotel very clean and all the staff were very helpful The Location for anybody visiting London is very good, and even though it is on the one of the main roads into London we did not hear any noise from traffic or people going past hotel

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
