We stayed at this hotel in June 2014 whilst attending Wimbledon. This hotel is in a fantastic location about a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station, the rooms are modern but small - this said it contained everything we needed, we had a little balcony overlooking a lovely garden which is unusual for central London. The breakfast here... More

Our room was very clean and yes small but these two ladies enjoyed it. We were close to the Tube and a grocery store. There was road construction on the corner from hotel and that made things a little difficult but yes would recommend this hotel. Just realize that it is not the Ritz's and you get what you pay... This is a nice place but a real rabbit warren. Memories of being lost in a maze of corridors and twists and turns & lugging bags up down & around. I expected better. We stayed 3 separate times on our holiday and although we booked early (Feb/March) but we always got rubbish located rooms. We were traveling with another couple... More

great location. nice bathroom. very clean. but the room was ridiculously small. only space for 1 item of luggage. it was not ideal for 2 people at all. we had an argument within 5 mins of being in the room just due to lack of space and that's not like us!

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights recently on a B&B basis. The room was very compact and I could see people of 6ft plus struggling. The first day the breakfast was excellent but on the other days there was always problems, no muesli or oj just examples of things that should be there and not have to... More

Staff was more than helpful. The hotel is in an outstanding location. Near two supermarkets, the tube, restaurants, the red bus and shopping areas. There are a lot of college students in the vicinity but not like spring breakers. The accommodations a little tight but that's europe. Cleanliness was a five. We even ate breakfast at the hotel. The reception staff are attentive, pleasant and go out their way to help. For this I can forgive the small rooms! Rooms are clean, sheets crisp and free wifi. I believe there is fairly new management who have made changes. I wonder if they consulted their very experienced staff about these. If they didn't they missed a trick.

Stayed here for a weekend away in London for just the one night. Service & breakfast was good. The room was smaller than my bathroom at home. Literally a double bed, and about 1ft all the way around and a tiny bathroom. I'm not exaggerating. Not a problem for us as we used it literally as a base and somewhere... More

We have just returned from a two day leisure break at the Cromwell...being returning guests which more or less says it all! The hotel is very conveniently placed for many museums and it is very easy to get into the heart of London...even by bus if you are a senior!...Breakfast is good...though the breakfast room is rather small...we were upgraded... This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel in the past year. We stayed for two midweek nights and once again were not disappointed. The hotel is very convenient for a tube station, buses, places to eat, shops, museums, the Royal Albert Hall and it is quite easy to walk to lots of other attractions. It is... More
