Think twice before you stay here - you can find a better hotel nearby.... My husband & I stayed here for 5 nights & would never stay here again. Aside from its perfect location & two nice employees (Bettina & Agnes) there is nothing positive about this place. The day we arrived we were taken to a room with a... More

I was very impressed with the hotel the room was well decorated and air con was great without it would of been hot. We went to London and the temp was 30c in the day and 21c at night. The air con was a god send. I would stay here again. A taxi from the hotel into Mayfair (Bond street... More

I stayed here recently. For pricey London this hotel is a great value. The room was clean and modern. While it was small, I was in London to sight see not sit in my hotel room. The bed was comfortable and really nothing to complain about in the room except that the TV service went out for a while. The... More

Room was very small. The breakfast was not filled up and people who arrive could only take the english breakfast. The location of the hotel is great in a safe area but you pay a high price for what you get.

The garden room was worth the extra. Very helpful staff, allowing us to check in early, and storing our luggage after we checked out. Downsides were: no signal for the TV and a very hot breakfast room. Very convenient for the Natural History museum, Science museum and the Albert Hall.

Room 655 It's not quite 8 feet wide and has a double bed! Can barely walk around the bed, pleased I was staying solo! Was given the wifi code but there's little if any signal and just BBC1 on the telly as the TV apparently being fixed. Really not good enough once again Worst Western!!! My compNy have paid (... The double room we've got is ok. There is no minibar in the room and it's very small!!! However the location of the hotel is great. It's just a few minutes walk to the underground station. Conveniently there is also a supermarket across the street and the full english breakfast is tasty.

Location is nice, being right near the tube off of Gloucester road. Beyond that, this is your average Best Western, but with smaller rooms. Average buffet breakfast and staff that did their job, but didn't seem to go above and beyond. We personally will try another place in the area when in London again.

The room is far to small to accommodate guests comfortably. The quality of the breakfast itself is far below what one would normally expect from a Best Western Hotel. Management have failed to properly equip and train their staff in the standards required to secure repeat business.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
