We were two on a weekend stay in London. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend, and it turned out to be really good value for money, in my opinion. The room was small, but so are all London hotel rooms, and it was adequately furnished and equipped, practical, space-efficient and clean. Staff was friendly, we experienced no... More

We stayed at the The Cromwell Best Western for 8 nights. It was easy to get to from the Victoria station and very close to Underground stops. Some complain that the rooms are small BUT if your there to be in your rooms that's just stupid. Our room had a great little "deck" over looking a garden...the room was very,... More

The staff here are super friendly and welcoming they are happy to help with directions etc. Our room was clean and the location is brilliant, walking distance from many museums, Harrods, the Hyde Park etc. 2 min walk to Gloucester Road tube. Our room was small and a little bit tired. The bed was big and comfortable enough and there... More

We arrived here at just gone eleven am, obviously too early to get in the room but we had a meal booked across town. Left the luggage went to eat and returned at 4.30pm. Very fast check in, staff very helpful. The room was on the first floor, no. 103. It was roughly eight foot square with a 4'6" bed,... More

Don't get me wrong, the best thing about this hotel was the location. But in terms of cleanliness and customer service, it was less than satisfactory. When we checked in, not too sure if she was the manager, but we were going to be charged an extra 30 pounds in order to get access to the happy hour bar menu... More

I loved this place for several reasons. Lovely staff, lovely rooms, lovely breakfast and the location was fantastic for the purpose of my trip.I stayed for two nights over valentines and found the rates extremely reasonable also. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

I was on a roadshow around Europe and I stayed in this hotel for a very short stop in London (spent less than 24 hours in London). I had some positive and negative experience with this hotel. Positive: - Very good location, tube station is nearby - Clean room - On-time wake-up call - Good internet connection Negative: - Small... More

This is a really well located hotel with very pleasant, helpful staff. An extended family group took five rooms for a couple of days and we had a great time. The rooms are small but comfortable and the breakfasts - both food and service - were excellent. I would very happily stay here again.

I stay every month in hotels all over England for work. But it was great to stay with family and this hotel was great clean, excellent service and all the eating houses are very local. Also the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are on the door step 5 minute walk also the tube just across road. Would stay... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
