This definitely looks old from the outside but the inside is fairly good, the foyer is lovely as you would expect, the staff very helpful and plentiful. The room was a bit tired but clean and suitable enough. This was our second visit to this hotel and I would stay here again.

Overall the value was good as the area is great for shopping and sightseeing and the hotel is also only 2 mins. walk from Kensington Park. Though the receptionist was very polite and friendly while we were checking in there was some confusion about the bill; we had been charged for breakfast on our credit card but this did not... More

this is a very big and busy hotel, but that should not be an excuse. there was always a queue at reception, so even the simplest request entailed standing in a line for anything up to 5 or more minutes. the hotel was extremely noisy. there were times when "guest services" did not answer the phone "because they were busy"!... Hotel rooms really used up. Could hear people in next room talking till very late at night. Very thin walls. Room needs a re-haul. Won't stay there again. Quick walk to the underground a plus. Bugis Street restaurant was very good located on the ground floor of the hotel.

This hotel is in an ideal location to reach all attractions and was very reasonably priced compared to others in London. The breakfasts were excellent and there was a choice of restaurants for dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment arrived to the time we left all of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our check in was dealt with pleasantly by Rose and altho' our room wasn't ready there were excellent arrangements to leave our luggage. Our first floor room was very clean, with enough facilities, a large double bed and a good bathroom. The... More

Have just stayed 2 nights bed and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent for all major attractions. The hotel was very busy but no queues anywhere to be seen. We stayed on the 11th floor in a superior plus which was very comfortable and the air con was a doddle, no fancy digital good old fashioned... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
