The Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum disappoints. It is not a budget hotel at $165/night. It fills that role, though. It is advertised as recently renovated, but really that's not true. The carpet in my room was dirty and the furniture was worn. The dreadfully slow internet, and I mean snails pace slow (until it quit working on my last... More

Twelve of us stayed in this hotel for one night as we were attending the Royal Albert Hall. This is a large popular hotel particularly for air line crews. Our room was situated on the 18th floor with a good view over London. Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, and the London Eye could be seen in the distance. Our room... More

I stayed for two nights during the week. The staff provides fast and efficient service The room was comfortable and clean but is overpriced in compared to what you get in return. The rooms facing the main street suffer from the noise of the Tube during the night

When we first arrived at the hotel by coach we were treated like second classed citizens. Told to que - when there were many available reception staff. Woman who was telling us to que was very abrupt and looked down at us "welsh coach trip". Just reminder that we paid for our stay like everyother person at that hotel. We... More

We stayed at this hotel in July 2014 and it was an experience that went from bad to worse from the moment we walked in the foyer. The only plus was the location but that was it! 1-We were early so informed that the rooms (we had booked 3) were not ready so had to wait until 2pm, this was... More

This hotel is very close to the Gloucester Rd tube station. It is also a fifteen minute stroll to Kensington Gardens. The neighborhood is nice and safe. There are plenty of cafes and eating options within walking distance to the hotel. We could see the London Eye from our hotel room. The breakfast was great, buffet style. The Tavern was... More

We have stayed here 3-4 times and have always found it satisfactory. It is a couple of blocks from the tube, V&A Museum and Natural History Museum and is an easy walk to Kensington High Street and Earls Court. There are a few restaurants nearby, at a range of price points. As an American chain, the hotel offers conveniences Americans... More

Location is perfect. It was a family trip to London for us. Gloucester Road Tube station is right there - District and Circle lines are great to get the must see stops in London. Good restaurants and pubs nearby. Staff was helpful both at the front desk and concierge. We were able to check in early. Breakfasts were good with... More

Just returned from a 1 night stay with my parents and older sister. The Breakfast buffet is nice. Lovely chocolate muffins. Location was good and rooms are nice and clean. Fantastic staff! They were very kind to us.If we return to London, we would definitely stay there again.

Big business hotel in Kensington, 2 minutes from Gloucester Road Underground station. 10 minutes walk to the beautiful Kensington Garden and the shops in High Street Kensington. Hotel has ok standard on the interior. Quite small room, though well equipped: King size bed, work desk, tv, tea boiler, couch, bath tub. The mini bar fridge is empty. Breakfast is English... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
