Stayed here for three nights for the main purpose of getting into Covent Garden area for the Theatres.Right next to Gloucester Road tube station and the Piccadilly underground line. It took about 12 minutes train time to get to leicester Square and Covent Garden tube stations. We didnt eat in here as we ate out near to the Theatres. There... More

I've never been a big Holiday Inn fan, but this superbly located hotel has been very nicely renovated and is great value for money. Located a very short walk from Gloucester Road tube station, it is central to some of the best attractions to visit in London. Rooms are clean and spacious (for London) and quiet, which is hard to... I have stayed here many times. Honestly, I didn't see improvements. Not that it's bad but just not moving forward. Its furnishing is pretty dated and things stayed the way it was (more or less the same when I first visited some 10-12 years ago). I continue to choose this hotel primarily because of its location. 2 minutes' walk to... More

After spending many nights in many different Holiday Inn hotels, I was looking forward to staying at a new hotel but I was not too impressed. The staff are very pleasant, but the room was disappointing. Being Platinum I wasn't offered any upgrade - in fact it wasn't really registered! Something which other Holiday Inn's have not failed to do.... More

Our rooms here were very, very nice. Just a bit smaller than usual but I was expecting that. Clean....the staff are friendly and their restaurants were enjoyable for just sitting and chatting. Also - the food was very good and that's unusual, I think, at a chain hotel. So kudos to you!

I was put up in this hotel by the RHS as I was judging at the Chelsea Flower Show. The facilities at the hotel were more than adequate, the staff efficient, the room clean and with good facilities and it has its own taxi rank which makes travel very convenient and easy.

Tour buses, underground rail and normal buses all outside the hotel. Cafes and restaurants all within walking distance 500 meters maximin, if you want a pub meal the Glouster Arms value for money. The hotel is very clean but the rooms are a little small, that said it is probably the best position hotel in Kensington and the breakfast restaurant... More

My mother and I stayed here for one night on 9/5/15 whilst we enjoyed a weekend in London. The hotel is ideally located for the museums in Kensington and is minutes walk from Gloucester Rd tube station making it ideal for exploring the centre of the capital. The rooms are well furnished and clean, although the bathrooms could do with... More

Hotel is in great location, beside the tube station and in a great area of London. Check in was very smooth and the room was a decent size and spotless. Bar in the hotel was very busy but I was disappointed with the cost and quality of the food, £15.90 for a burger and chips was the only down side... More

Stayed here with a group last week. Very nice and clean. Good service. Good food in restaurants and room service. Great location. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping. Hop on bus nearby. Taxis always waiting outside. I highly recommend.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
