We had a great time at this hotel! The rooms and bathrooms are big, the staff was extremely nice and welcoming.. it's also very well located (near Gloucester Rd. tube station, supermarkets, National History Museum, The Science Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and Hyde Park. I was really impressed with this hotel and very sad to hear it is/has closed.... More

I know it's not in the middle of Westminster but you get a great feel for the rest of the posh city when you stay here because of its location next to the glouster road station so close by. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and on the way to the tube.

We stayed one night at this hotel during one weekend trip to London some months ago. We planned to book this hotel again but we are sad to know this hotel is now closed. We had a very big room for London standards, comfortable bed and big bathroom. The room was very clean, with free wifi. Check-in was fast and... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location was good, very close to the tube and easy access for taxi. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were large, good size bathroom. Sad to hear the hotel is/has closed. Very much enjoyed our stay here.

I am sorry to hear that this good hotel is closed. Location was great and staff was excellent. Rooms were clean and airy, plus they had free wifi. Hopefully they will soon open in some other location with the same staff.

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSING ON 31 OCTOBER 2014. We stayed there for the last five days and this hotel is (was) very comfortable with high skilled personnell. Large rooms, recently refurbished with all the modern facilities like free WiFi. It was my preferred hotel during the las twenty years and I feel very sad to hear about their closure.

Loved my stay at the Harrington, you can't beat the location. I had forgotten my shoes in the room, and was attended by Sahara, Guest Relations Manager, who assisted in getting them to me by mail. Her efforts and follow-up were extremely helpful and appreciated, I rarely have fun into this level of professionalism AFTER leaving a hotel.

I stay in London quite a lot and usually pick hotels that are a good deal on the various booking websites. Harrington Hall is one of my favourites - reasonably priced and a good location but the main reason is that the feel of the rooms is unlike most in London. Instead of the tired carpets and tatty furniture found... More

I won't repeat all the wonderful things people have already said regarding location, friendly and helpful staff, great room size, amenities, nice bathroom, etc. We did not eat breakfast there so cannot comment on that. We arrived at 11 a.m. from the airport and were upgraded to a premier room at no charge which started off our vacation on a... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
