We had a really great stay at the Millenium Gloucester Hotel. It is perfectly located, with the Gloucester Road tube station round the corner, to get about London with ease. The rooms are a good size and I would highly recommend choosing a Club Room as you have the added benefit of being on higher floor levels, so less noisy... More

Stayed here for a visit to the Albert Hall. Location good, basement parking at £37 for 24 hours. Just let down by some idiot smoking in a bathroom at 0100. Had to walk down outside fire escape 7 floors. Not our idea of fun after a memorable evening out! Room decor and bathroom clean but tired and all needing an... More

From the moment you first enter this hotel you're struck by the excellent service - truly outstanding throughout. Rooms are comfortable with good facilities and very clean. Location is excellent, only across the road from Gloucester Road tube (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines) and the centre of London is only a couple of stops away. Value for money was outstanding.... More

I stayed at the hotel late March 2015. The first thing I appreciated about this hotel is how close it was to Gloucester Road tube station (1-2 minutes). The fact that it's on the Piccadilly line made it very easy catching the tube direct from Heathrow. The area is also wonderful as there's a number of supermarkets and restaurants which... More

The entrance to the hotel is quite tricky, as I missed it few times. It looks like a typical apartment buildings near Gloucester train station. The positive: - clean - few steps away from Gloucester train stations, which is also surrounded by convenient stores, supermarkets, fast food (KFC, Burger King), pharmacy and few restaurants. The negatives: - room and interior... More

Just entered the hotel and I started to say "Woow" this hotel is very nice... Check in was very smooth and the rooms are very tidy and very clean. We asked for a nice view and an upgrade but unfortunate the hotel was full and the good thing about is that the F.O Manager met us and apologized for this... More

I stayed here whilst I was on a course for work. The photos do not do the hotel justice. The service was very good and I had a great room on the fourth floor which was a standard room. Very spacious and most of all clean. Room service was good and quick. Would definitely stay here again.

Good value for a hotel so well situated for central London. Quite old fashioned in its appearance now but still an excellent place to stay. Nice rooms, nice breakfast and pleasant staff made my stay an easy one. Well worth putting on your list of choices for staying in the area.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
