We stayed at The Gore hotel in April and had a very pleasant stay there. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we go up-graded to a very charming and stylish luxury room that made us feel we were travelling in time! All rooms appear to be different which also brings charm to the hotel. Our room (102) was... More

The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself and elegant and intimate. Everything was possible, including a gluten-free takeaway sandwich for me. We had a big Irish party on the Thursday night and the staff handled it with great patience and good humour. My room which was on the street side was a little noisy- I could hear... More

We had such a good experience staying at one of the original built-as-a-hotel in London. The neighborhood is off the beaten path so there are not too many tourists - which is nice. The area has a college-town feel and there are actually some good restaurants a block over from the hotel. The staff at the hotel is Uber helpful... More

I stayed for business - the room is shabby chic id a nice way - the restaurant was good and the little bar in front was filled with interesting people - it is convenient to the tube and the neighbourhood is delightful - this is a good choice if you want to avoid another Hilton or such like.

We were disappointed by the size of the bedroom, the fact that there was no cupboard with shelves in the bedroom and only one chair ... we expected more for the price ... we will try again anyway ....

I am so happy I chose The Gore to celebrate my 50th birthday! It is in a great spot - a couple of minutes walk from Hyde Park, and about 5 mins walk from the Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall etc etc. The hotel is a bit like a mini stately home - all the rooms have beautiful beds... More

Excellent opportunities for running in Hyde Park or visiting the Natural History Museum next door. A couple of hidden English pubs very nearby to sample some real ale. Also easy access to Metro system and walking distance from Gloucester road.
