We have been back to St Giles, off Tottenham Court Rd, many times during the last 20 years. Why? Mainly because it´s reasonably cheap, and it´s central both for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. It´s big and busy, but service has improved a lot in those 20 years. We usually stay in an executive suite as many of the standard rooms... More

Stayed for 3 nights early January. Yes the room is not the biggest, but bed was comfortable, shower worked well, breakfast good, location outstanding. Have rebooked for wife's birthday later this year.

I have been staying here for the past several years since it was recommended by my Brother. Its the perfect location for a visit to London for the things I like to do. Near the theatres , soho, oxford street. I grab my camera and its a pleasant day walkabout to trafalgar, buckingham palace, big ben and so many sites.... More

Was there with teenage daughter and really we have no complains about the hotel (only the elevators are a bit slow). Service we got was ok. Everybody complaining about the size of the room I would calm down. They could pay more than 100Eur per night and maybe get something better. But I have experienced more expensive hotels in central... More

I have stayed here on a few occasions now and on all occasions have felt I have had value for money. The location is brilliant. Rooms are small and quite basic but adequate for a cheapish centrally located hotel. Breakfast again adequate. Plenty of choice I did miss toast though. There are a lot of things which could be improved... More

Seriously, DO NOT stay at this hotel. Two days after i left, my bank informed me that they ILLEGALLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITH 400 GBP. I try to contact them, i talked on the phone with three or four people from the hotel, i sent five emails , I faxed them and they were just keeping me telling that... More

I spent 3 nights at the St Giles Hotel at the beginning of December 2011 with 3 friends. We had 2 twin rooms. The rooms were small but clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very busy, but that's to be expected from a busy West End hotel. We would definitely stay here again. I think it is... More

OK so here is my gripe . . . I am British but have been living in the States for three years and I have this crazy notion in my head that whether you are offering a low cost hotel, a mid-priced hotel or even a high end hotel the service should still be the same. Now I'm not talking... More

Location of hotel is very good indeed. Very close to Oxford street and Tottenham Court Road, with Tottenham Court Road station just 1 minute away. Further down the road is Piccadily. Breakfast is quite good. One person room is rather small. However having all the necessities.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
