This hotel reminded me of a trip to Butlins some years ago. The rooms felt like a Butlins room. The Breakfast was like a Butlins breakfast. The inmates were like Butlins punters. The hotel has a thin veneer of quality that is quickly diminished after a little while. It obviously caters for a diverse population and for that reason needs to... More

Okay, here is the deal...... The reviews are all over the place at this hotel and I will clear that up. There are 3 room types. basic, deluxe and executive. Therefore you get reviews all over the board. We stayed in the Deluxe which we paid about $15 pound more and I was glad I had as the room was... More

When we checked in to the hotel it was efficient and polite. Our room was on the 12th floor which meant that we caught the lift to the 11th floor and then changed lifts to get top the 12th floor. The room was very clean but very small. the shower room was even smaller than I expected after reading previous... More

This was my 2nd stay at the St Giles and it didn't disappoint. It is in a great location close to Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road tube station. The hotel is excellently run from concierge to reception, check in was smooth and room very clean. Overall very good value for money and would have no hesitation returning.

I get to London several times a year. I have always stayed at the St. Giles since it is a good value for the price. It is nice to have the YMCA available. The rooms are clean, but not spacious. Make sure you request a room facing Bedford Ave since the hotel is near the main road to hospital and... More

The St Giles Hotel is in an excellent location for the theatres in the west end of London. It is within easy walking distance of the theatres, bars, restaurants and shops. Also it is very close to the underground stations. The hotel it self had everything you would need . Very clean, good coffee shop and a great breakfast. The... More

Had a very pleasant 1 night stay at hotel last weekend. Arrived at hotel at approx.11am as our flight was early, pleasantly surprised to see that our hotel rooms were ready so we were able to check in straight away and no time was wasted. Staff at reception and concierge were very helpful. Hotel very busy but we had no... More

Normally we stay at Premier Inns but this time we were with a friend from abroad and were going to a performance at Ronnie Scott's in Soho. We opted for what we hoped would be something a little more luxurious and were not disappointed. The hotel is minutes from Tottenham Court Road station (if you don't take the wrong turning,... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
