I was staying with my wife and 3 year old son for one night. The hotel was fine in most respects and was relatively competitively priced for London. However, even in a deluxe double, the room was tiny and felt a little claustrophobic (although relatively good use had been made of the limited space). The room was clean, quite well... More

We booked this hotel for a nights stay in town to attend the theatre and complete Xmas shopping. Good clean basic room was ready early and so we could check in. For 80 pound in central London this was a great deal. Would stay here again.

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, we were celebrating our wedding Anniversary, the hotel was pleasant, the room was small but it was adequate enough for our short stay, it was clean & comfortable, the food was good & the bars were nice, we loved the location, it is just off of Tottenham Court road,... The St Giles hotel policy is that the housekeeping staff start to wake you up at 8.30am & 9.30am until you get out of your room, this really makes you feel welcome as you don't need to leave your room until 11.00am I left feedback with the receptionist & also by email, I had an email from Charles Maw who... The best thing going for this hotel is its location. The next-best thing going for it was that there was nothing seriously wrong. The room was surprisingly large for London, and reasonably comfortably furnished. The staff were as helpful as they could be with long queues behind us. In other words, this is a large, impersonal, perfectly okay London hotel.

there's a mixed bag of reviews for this hotel. I was only using it as i was on a large night out and would have missed the last train home, so it was a place to sleep only! I got a great deal for a single night and didn't expect much at all to be honest! The hotel is a... More

Having always stayed at Travelogues while in London i thought this time would have a change and booked a Single Room at St Giles. I was pleasantly surprised. Good clean room big enough for one person, having said that if your big then you might struggle to get into the shower and the bathroom, but overall a good size room... More

This busy central London Hotel was fit for purpose and room wise a comfortable nights sleep. As for welcoming at reception it was so matter of fact it was was missing, I speak back to my computer more, maybe the time of arrival at 18.00 was part of the fault as it was busy and there was a queue but... The room was small but adequate for a one night stay. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was also clean. However, the light coming into the room from outside was bright enough to keep us awake. Added to which, the light coming in from around the door was also very bright. Next time we stay, we will... When we arrived there was a mix up and we were given a basic rather than the deluxe we had paid for, however we were offered free breakfast. If I had paid for the breakfast I would have been fuming but as it was free I can't complain. A tip, if you want breakfast go an hour before you need... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
