I used the hotel around 2002 first and it was basic trying be posh then. Used this just once more and it was ok but again nothing amazing. The staff seem to think it's the Savoy but it's not. Dated and small and well simply not worth the money. Needs a very big refit or a reboot to the level... More

We stayed at the st giles for my birthday. Booked 4 rooms. Would have been nice if we were all on the same floor but wasn't too much of a problem. The rooms were pretty standard but clean and the beds were comfy. There was building works going on close by and you could hear this during the night as... More

This overpriced, basic, uninviting, uncomfortable relic gives hotels a bad name. Whoever "designed" it was crazy for stairs. There are stairs from street level to reception, to the so-called lounge, to the toilets, even on guest room levels. A nightmare for older guests! The rooms are pokey, the exhausted furniture should be dumped. Bathrooms look ok but have no room... More

I've stayed in this hotel 3 times now and I can't fault it. The rooms are small but the beds are extremely comfortable. The hotel is bang in the centre of London walking distance to Tottenham Court Road station which allows you to reach any part of London and also walking distance to Oxford Street and Leiceister Sq for those... Clean and close to things to do for an OK price. Had a fun night in the hotel bar, drinks were delicious and staff was awesome! We arrived to St. Giles after a particularly bad stay in Paris (due to the hotel) so this hotel felt like the Ritz in comparison. Would definitely stay here again.

The St Giles Hotel is an unprepossessing concrete building in an unattractive part of London. The room was small, tired, in need of fresh air and showing some signs of water damage from a leak from the bathroom. All that said, actually it's a useful place to stay and worth considering. In the shadow of CentrePoint is undeniably central and... More

The hotel is in a great central location on Tottenham Court Road just beside the Dominion Theatre. Good location for visits to the West End & shopping. The staff were very helpful. Originally given a 12th floor room but when I requested a low floor they happily changed my room to the 1st. The room was small but very comfortable... More

We almost turned around and walked out when we saw the size of the rooms. I've stayed in small rooms before and I don't think I'm extremely picky, but these rooms were literally the size of my walk in closet. Very old carpet and furnishings, cheap plastic in bathrooms made to resemble granite, and very dirty rooms. One of the... More

This hotel was centrally located, near the theater district. The room was small for two people. I was traveling with my 16 year old daughter. We needed to step over our luggage to get through the room. The bathroom was more updated but also small. The breakfast buffet was amazing. There were so many choices of hot items and cold.... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
