From the moment we arrived we felt unwelcome. The rooms were small although we were finally upgraded after we had been reserved in a room with twin beds for 3 guests, and they were quite outdated. They pumped some sort of perfume smell into the entry/lobby area which was very overwhelming. The area is quite lively, but we prefer a... More

Easy access to many places by walking, this includes places like Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, London School of Economics, King's College and etc. Bus stations are on the street in front of the hotel. Tube stations are also nearby, I found it very easy to walk to Covent Garden station and Charing Cross Station. The room i stayed was very... More

We stayed in London for one night, mid-week, for a family dinner and really just wanted a hotel that wasn't going to break the bank. This hotel was cheap in comparison to everything else we found online and that was our only reason for choosing it. We did well! Check in was quick and polite and there was a doorman... More

When I write reviews I like to be objective and offer an unbiased review as we can all get caught up in person as issues. On that note I shall leave the issues I had with my booking here and just say that a particular member of staff went out of her way to retrieve me as a customer and... More

When we first stayed here, 10 or more years ago, this was a stylish hotel: today it is not. Very back-packy today, which would be fine if the cost wasn't £220 a night! The once fine restaurant is now an Indian, not what I consider a pre-show supper. We will be looking for an alternate venue for our next trip.... More

I've been using this Hotel for 10 years and I have become saddened by the fall in standards. Executive standards are no better than Bucket elsewhere. Exec room overlooks Fan Units and service pipes. You choose Breakfast was WRONG on three days out of four, even though heavily specified! Breakfast room had Dust/Dirt on wall trims/Dado rail. Rooms noisy due... More

Only here for one night. Check in was very fast we were 2 hours early and our room was ready. Lovely open space well presented. Room was a twin on third floor, we overlooked courtyard which was fine as we didn't hear any noise. It wasn't a massive room but had the facilities you required. Had a struggle turning the... More

Great value for money, impressively and discreetly well organised and a fantastic breakfast. Spent Saturday night here catching a show. Really easy stroll across Waterloo Bridge from said station and just a few minutes to the west end. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Strand Palace for a mid week getaway. This hotel is fantastically located by Covent Garden. Our room was a standard double and was a reasonable size for central London. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. We were located at the back of the hotel and had no problems with noise. I would definitely recommend... More
