For a short vacation in London, just 4 days, this hotel is located in a strategic location, 10 minutes walk from Trafalgar square, 20 from St. Paul, close to Charing Cross Station. We got heater and hairdryer problems but the staff was very collaborative and helpful to fix everything in a bunch of minute. Overall was a great stay, and... More

The heading says it all as we look out upon a pigeon mess encrusted light shaft. The humming of a distant ventilator wafts not only a smell, but a rather annoying mechanical noise. Booked an Executive Room - would hate to see what a standard room looks like. £200 gives you a 12 x 10 foot box. Pretty rubbish really... More

We stayed at the Strand Palace in July 2014. We chose this hotel because it seemed very well priced considering its great location for sight seeing, the theaters and the many restaurants within walking distance. The website advertised that all the rooms had been recently renovated and the pictures looked good. The room we were given upon check-in was tiny... More

This Hotel was OK. When we checked in after a long day of travelling the receptionist was clearly incompetent and took forever to get us checked in. It was obvious that her colleagues thought the same as they tried from time to time (to no effect) to assist her). We were glad we left the cat at home because the... More

The hotel is in a great location for the theatre and sightseeing in London. The bedroom I had was very small but was well equipped and clean , as was the en-suite. No view from the room as it looked inwards. No air conditioning . When the central light went, staff replaced quickly but it went again the next day,... More

This was our first stay but it will not be our last. Excellent location and great value for money. We stayed in a double room which was on the small side but excellent use of space. The room had no bath but a lovely powerful shower. The room was lovely and clean, biscuits provided with coffee and tea making facilities... More

We had read all the previous reviews and were apprehensive about this hotel but as it was over NYE we didn't have a lot of choice within our budget as we required two rooms. When we arrived I thought this is just another big hotel but was pleasantly surprised we had a double and a twin room. The double was... More

Bit of a mixed review here as hotel was just not what was expected by us for the £160 per night. On arrival reception advised us that we had been given a complimentary upgrade, I wouldn't have liked to see the first choice! Upgraded room was poor. We were told we could get a bigger room for another £50 per... More

I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights over Christmas and had a very decent visit. The location is amazing, easy walking distance to Covent Garden (round the corner), Leicester Square, Oxford Street, Soho etc. Easy walking distance to several tube stations as well. If you're tubing it in, best get off at Charing Cross as Covent Garden (small and... More
