As others have pointed out, the biggest asset to this hotel is location. You have West End Theatre, Covent Garden, and Chinatown in the "backyard" and Trafalgar Square/National Gallery just a short stroll away. I found the service to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. The room... quite modest and small (I've had larger closets!), but clean and comfortable.... More

Have used this hotel on several occasions now and have generally found it a great place to stay when visiting London? The location is fantastic and close to most major tourist attractions. The staff are very friendly and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Room 390 was a bit small and noisy due to Air Conditioning or an Extraction... More

One night stay no problems all went well even had a free upgrade to executive, just round the corner from the Lyceum Theatre for Lion King. staff efficient, hotel clean, used the restaurant for carvery, excellent, and breakfast was the best ever full English, all cooked perfect. Nice weather on the Saturday walked up the Strand to Trafalgar Square, then... More

The Strand is a great place to stay ideally situated in the heart of London. I have stayed here before and will stay here again. All the staff are great from the doorman to the receptionists, they are all friendly and helpful.

Walking distance to Covent Gardner and trafalgar square. Good price/quallity offer. Rooms too small (check before booking). Staff very nice and professional. Food quality and restaurant staff not in line with expectations.

I took my 18 year old son up to London for end of exam and belated 18th celebration to see 4 shows etc. We had a fab stay. Doormen all suited and booted and as we were dead central to all the shows with the Lyceum being just round the corner literally to watch Lion King it was a fab... More

Like this a LOT. Superb location. Rooms cannot be faulted. Best thing was perhaps the staff. Every encounter with a member of staff was a pleasure. Superbly professional yet warm, friendly & helpful. Object lesson in quality customer service. Lovely breakfast! Hope to be back soon.

Excellent value for a good price for a centrally located hotel on the Strand, in the heart of things, just steps from Covent Garden. Walking distance to all West End theatres and nightspots. Felt safe walking at night, even after the theatre. You could tell that the staff was well trained and supervised. From the kind doorman to the professional... More

Good stay at a recently refurbished hotel. Efficient and friendly service, outstanding location for theater, museums and restaurants. Did not try any of the hotel restaurant options, but there are a few, which is convenient.

Staying in Covent Garden

Neighborhood Profile
Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
