I stayed here two years ago. This visit was not as good. Here's the differences…1. The towel rack in the bath only had room for one set of towels. Towels for the second person were put in the wardrobe. No place to leave them in the bathroom after the first use. 2. Toilet paper holder was about 1" from the... More

I have always loved the Strand Palace Hotel (before & after its face-lift). It's in a wonderful and lively location that is so full of energy that it re-charges your wound down batteries from the word go. Covent Garden is simply divine and anything worth visiting is within walking distance if you aren't in a rush. The hotel is cheery... More

I spent a week-end in London to see a concert, and other events in major art galleries. My room, which was on the 9th floor, was small, and I was concerned about the wall mounted TV set close to the bathroom entrance, as a taller person may bang into it. The bathroom sink was too small to let me fill... More

This is a great place to stay for location. Literally when I come back this is where I will stay again. Hotel is nice not luxury but nice enough. Room was comfortable. Only things that could be better - a more comfortable bed - curved shower curtain rods (easy investment to make a shower more comfortable). Showering in a hotel... More

For me, it is a "too big" hotel but the location is great, that's mainly why it is a place to repeat. Also, for London, I believe it offers a good value for money proposition. Rooms are big enough and confortable, me and my husband were there with our 12 years old daughter and it was very good.

The location on the famous Strand in the heart of London's Theatre World is excellent, the façade and ambiance is great.. So easy to book in with the reception being well staffed to ease the normal waiting of many other hotels.. The lifts located in the foyer are very quick with very little waiting even though the hotel must cater... More

I came to London on business. I had flown in from the five star Okura hotel in Amsterdam, i knew the strand was 3 star but the location was very close to the event I was attending so I went for it. After check in I was brought to possibly the smallest room Ive ever been in. It was however... More

Rooms are simple, clean, but with some good features such as wooden shutters to block out all light, effective double glazing, decent sized showers. Only drawback is corridor noise, but for a centrally placed London hotel it is perfectly acceptable.

The location was what we were after so I suppose we shouldn't complain, but when we were told we had been "upgraded" to a King size executive room we expected rather more. I suspect it wasn't really an upgrade and we fell for the spiel. The bed was really good - very comfortable. Unfortunately the room was right next to... More

Myself and my husband stayed here as my mum had booked advance train tickets to London and then realised she couldn't go. We bought the tickets off her and searched for a reasonably priced hotel but something a little better than a travel lodge. On arrival the staff were very friendly. I realised the hotel was a LOT bigger than... More
