Stayed at the Strand for one night; it was close to Covent Garden and the show we wanted to see so nice and convenient. We opted for the cosy double which it was but hey it had everything that we needed. We picked our room which was to the front of the hotel over looking the Savoy across the road... More

I had a meeting in London and an evening of jovialities after. I booked the hotel on their own website the day before and could have live chat to answer some queries about an earlier check in time. There was also an offer of a £ 15 voucher for bar or food as well as a free one day travel... More

Very pleasant stay. Booked a standard king size room after reading reviews of double rooms being a bit small. Our room faced onto the strand so a little noisy at times but internal shutters blocked a lot of that out. On site restaurants were very handy. The car very was excellent value for money especially as part of the hotel... More

Stayed two nights, excellent location, room clean, free wifi, £15 voucher for food/bar, travel tickets for two days, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast. Everything we could have wanted and would certainly stay again.

I will stay at the Strand Palace Hotel again. It was an absolutely terrific stay; now, that said, I did opt for the "executive room", and that included full English breakfast every day, and wifi service was outstanding. It is close to either Leicester Square or Covent Garden underground stations (I came from Heathrow), and very close to theatres, pubs,... More

Stayed here two nights while visiting a conference in London. Nice, clean rooms. But very small rooms. Good service and breakfast. Didn't have any problems so don't know how they'll react to that. Glose to several undergrounds.

Great staff and perfect location. I loved being so close to everything. Room was comfy and clean with daily water and tea service. Luggage deposit was handy to have and the Indian restaurant was fantastic. Skip the hotel breakfast though as there are plenty of better selections right on the same block.

Myself and my wife stayed here for 2 nights in January. While it was adequate the only thing that would bring us back is the location. The décor is tired (carpets look like they've been down for some while), the food (we had breakfast on both mornings) was pretty average, with a 'motorway cafe' feel to the eating area. The... More

I was put up here as I was in London for work, hence the location was great. However the room for a single occupant is very small and the amenities in the room are very poor. No fridge, no microwave. But may be its so in the UK. I lived for 15 days so I needed them. Staff is excellent... More

Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
