The staffs are friendly at this small but clean business hotel. It's alright for a night stay if you are on biz trip, but will not recommend for a romantic stay. Deco of the room is quite modern and city-like. There is purified water tab each floor and free tea/coffee with some snacks at the lobby lounge.

Located in the financial district, Club Quarters Gracechurch was equally as good for our family vacation as it would be for business. Our room had a large queen bed (king?) that was partially screened from the pull-out couch and desk area by built-ins that included more drawers, storage and counter space than I’ve ever seen in a hotel, which allowed... The suite was small but comfortable. Linen was adequate. Breakfast was disorganised. There was a shortage of glasses, cutlery& condiments. When the orange juice ran out the staff placed a selection of cartons on the table. We noted that the waitress had to run out to buy eggs from a local supermarket! The stay was mot value for money.

This place has a good location of your needing to work in the city. But as we all know it's not much good other than that. Weekends are a no go as the city is dead. You would be better if in another central London location. It's roughly a seven minute walk to both Liverpool Street and Bank stations. Maybe... More

Located centrally in the City of London, all important places are easy to reach from here, e.g. Tower of London is in walking distance. Underground stations Bank and Monument are also nearby. Our room was very clean and you get free coffee! :)

An old setting decor hotel... Located just a short walk from Moorgate, Liverpool Street and bank. The staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Probably not the most modern hotel I've stayed but it is OK as the room sizes are big, it's also quiet enough to get a good night rest. Kitchenette area is very clean.

I was over in London in July with my family. We've booked this hotel online. The price was very reasonable. The room was big and clean, hotel inside was quiet. Outside the hotel was busy all night as there is pub/restaurant next door. The hotel itself is located in a very convenience area. Two metro stations, bus, taxi, restaurants. All... More

Excellent value hotel. Basic double room not the biggest but clean and with all the amenities you need. The staff were extremely polite and helpful at all times and the location is superb, in the heart of the city, tube station moments away and literally loads of bars and restaurants within a few yards. A couple of supermarkets also on... More

Lovely team of people, we didn't want the room serviced after night 1 but after night 2 we did, it wasn't done by the time we got back at 14.00 despite a call at 11 to ask for room service. There had been a comms error. After a quick call to reception they did the room immediately and then delivered... More

I was very disappointed with the hotel staff who proved rude, very pressing with us as we make an effort to speak English. In addition, we booked a room overlooking the city ... we had the right to a view of the courtyard. In fact, the room was very dark, tasteless design and bathroom furniture that does not correspond to... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
