We stayed here and were pleasantly surprised by the location and quality of the room. It was small but the room was the hotel was spotless and modern and we only wanted somewhere as a base as we were out & about during the day & evening. Easy access to everywhere including 2 tube stations - will return !

Hotel is right in the City of London - so great if you are working here. It's not particularly cheap, and the rooms are small... but you are paying for the convenient location. Small gym in basement. The on-site restaurant, Gaucho, for breakfast and evening meals is great for steaks. Worth joining the loyalty scheme - works different to other... More

I stayed in the hotel with my wife and a 10 month old baby. We arrived soon(10am) but the staff were very friendly and they provide us a room without additional service charge. As they have seen thet the baby was sleeping they got the baby cot in a rush a put it into our room while we did the... More

Our son found us this hotel as he'd paid for us to go up the Shard. It was very easy to find and ideal for sightseeing in the city (Tower of London, HMS Belfast etc). The hotel was clean, very quiet (the city shuts down for the weekend hence the quiet) we had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, towels... More

Perfect for business stay, no-nonsense, friendly reception, everything you need is there. Conveniently located close to Bank tube station. The only downside (but this is not something the hotel can do something about) is the fact that the direct surroundings are entirely deserted in evening / at night.

Good - location (downtown London), free wifi Bad - smallest room I have ever stayed, smallest bathroom, getting to the room from the lift lobby was an exercise in a maze, and first time I had computer kiosks greet me at reception. I believe some personal touches will help make a hotel stay more comfortable. Sadly I found nothing like... More

Booked a suite here for a Friday night stay in the City. Compact reception area with very attentive staff. Coffee, tea and water available without charge in the foyer, well decorated and presenting in good clean condition. Room was spacious with sitting and separate bed area. Plenty of wardrobe and other storage, luxuriously appointed bathroom with fabulous shower. Highly recommended.... More

Decent sized room, friendly staff, cracking in room dining options and some nice touches like loan iPads. Really like this place. Definately a hotel if you are travelling on business, not one for a romantic trip

I stayed in the hotel for one night. Although the hotel is ok I find it for what it has to offer (also considering it's London) overpriced. However, the staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and all this is ok. The room is as well ok, the bath room is very small and not too modern.

I used this hotel during a business trip and I have to say that is clean and very well located. I found very odd the lack of the security lockers in the room. The shower in the toilet is big and I kind of preferred it instead of bathtubs but I know that other people prefer to bath. Friendly staff.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
