My stay here lasted only a single night but I was impressed. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Bed very good but pillows a bit stiff - luckily had brought my own. I found the reception setup to be quite bizarre - the two reception staff are crammed into a dark and pretty unwelcoming area that I can best... More

A very nice stay at a good hotel. The location was a lite of but it was close to subway stations so it worked out any way. Free coffee at ground floor was a very nice surprise. Good tools at the gym as well. The room we stayed at was big and had a very good standard.

I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's easy to get to any communal transportation & there's great shopping just around the corner. The staff was very welcoming & nice! They took care of our luggage while we went shopping in waiting for the train to depart. The only thing I can remark on is the shower. The water... More

It has been three years since I last stayed at the hotel and it's nice to see that nothing has changed. The check-in/out process is still seamless (and quick), the staff are as helpful as ever and the hotel continues to provide free wifi and complementary beverages in the reception area and in the rooms. Within walking distance of the... More

spent a whole week here on a business trip. nice, neat and effective place. good location on gracechurch with quick access to nice places to see (St Paul, London eye and bridge etc. Though small and quick, the service is good, no great restaurant; good internet connection, bed and sufficient adaptors for plug-ins.

Booked hotel for its location for meetings, but the standard did not meet the expectations. Self check-in was a surprise but when finding my booking code all went OK. Corridors smelled cooking all evening, room are OK but but no water available for free or purchase. Overpriced compared with standard but location good.

The Club Quarters Gracechurch hotel has a great location, close to the Gherkin building, two blocks away from Monument Metro Station, and within walking distance of the Tower of London and the London Bridge. Besides, the service was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Oh, and... More

Ticks the box for staying in London, nice and compact but no bells and whistles. Rooms are small but the bed was comfy, shower was best feature of the bathroom (I like a good strong shower). Price was appropriate to what we got but would stay again.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
