Despite being advertised as being refurbished when we booked our room (220) was very tired and worn. Ventilation was inadequate and for 2 nights it was like sleeping in an oven with an electric blanket on. Free standing fan inadequate and traffic too noisy to leave window open. Hot water broken for 24 hours also.

This hotel is not worth the money. Room was tired, outdated, bathroom not very clean. The room was so hot and had no air con or fan. If you opened the window the noise from the road was unbearable. The hotel is tatty but the bar / eating area is ok. The breakfast also was ok. Totally let down by... More

This was the single worst Travelodge I've ever stayed in. The staff do their best to keep the place clean and are helpful, but the room I got was atrocious. Sometimes you'll find a Travelodge has outdated or tired decor which is to be expected but this was something else. A vague attempt to spruce the room up involved halfhearted... More

I arrived at the hotel late afternoon. Room and hotel were clean and the service at the desk was very good at all times - as was the service in the bar during that evening. Unfortunately, my evening meal was spoiled by the black hair that lay across it. I did send it back and my second choice was not... More

Whilst walking to our rooms, there were various stains (which appeared to be sick) along the corridor and culminating outside of a room adjacent to ours. The room itself smelled incredibly unpleasant and was very hot (there was a fan in the room but it did little to combat the heat.). The windows did not open sufficiently to rectify this... More

Booked and paid for a two night stay in December13for our stay 10-11July. On arrival at 10pm was told the family room we booked was not available and they could only offer us two single rooms. Offered to move us to another travelodge but the nearest two were full and they could not tell us where we were likely to... More

Stayed at this Travelodge before so a known location. Last visit very positive which is why we used it again. Oh dear!! Last time we were there early in the year and had a room at the back of the building. This time July and at the front. What a difference a room location makes! On arriving the room was... More

I recently reviewed the Covent Garden Travelodge and decreed it to be the worst hotel experience of my life - well the Farringdon branch was slightly better, but not by far. What made this a better experience was the employees on the desk and at breakfast who were friendly and helpful. Other than that, the same negative comments apply -... More

I panicked once I had already booked and then read the reviews already for this hotel. All in all, yes it is noisy from outside but what do you expect from a main road? However, 3 times we were woken up and disturbed by the 'cleaners' the following morning. I understand that they need the room for cleaning/ changing towels... More

We booked this via a third party so got a one night stay with breakfast included for about £71 which was what we wanted for one night in the city. This particular Travelodge had not long been refurbished. The staff were very helpful from the moment we entered. The room was adequate for our needs we stayed in room 302... More
