On arrival hotel appeared suitable to our needs and taste, receptionist friendly. Our room had been recently painted but they seemed to have forgotten to paint any paintwork throughout hotel, windows were metal framed and wouldn't open consequently the heat was unbearable especially during the night. The furniture was well worn although room was very clean, beds very uncomfortable you... More

Stayed on business and reasonable for a central hotel in London. The room I had was on the ground floor at the rear and would advise against this as the noise from the underground was really annoying and bleak view onto other tall building or flats, would say rooms are a good size but to be honest very dated and... We stayed here on Saturday in the two bed apartment. Good location (less than 10 minutes to Oxford Circus tube station) and relatively quiet. You could hear the tube trains on some occasions, especially in the basement breakfast room but this didn't affect my sleep! The rooms were clean (if a bit dated) but didn't have any air conditioning so... More

Stayed here with my daughter-in-law and Granddaughter in a 3 bedded room. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel location was very central. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and adequate, the coffee from the machine was lovely. A very nice hotel for the price which I shall definitely be returning to.

The location of the hotel was very good, in the centre of London near 2 Tube stations, about 5-7 minutes walk to each. The staff was very friendly. The room was small but had everything necessary. Pity, there was no balcony in the room. One thing we didn't like - poor breakfast. Wishing there was no bacon and eggs or... More

Nice room but no air conditioning. The room looked quite dated but clean. It was so sad they didn't have air as it was a warm evening. Location wise there are plenty of pubs around. Great place for a few nights accommodation. Wouldn't stay here for a holiday. It was very expensive too.

The room was great. The service staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good. The hotel was in a great location for visiting several sites and accessing public transportation. We had a very pleasant experience.

First impression of hotel was ok but the room (and bathroom) were pretty poor. Very much in need of a complete refurbishment! Furnishings are old, tatty and drab! The breakfast was also poor, with little choice!

Reception was friendly and welcoming. I was allocated the suite which was quaint, and comprised two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen area had all the original cupboards and serving hatch from what looked like the 1930's. The main bedroom was large with a very high ceiling and original features. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable.... More

We paid $262 for a one night stay at the Astor Court, arriving late and leaving early. Our room was very small with two twin beds in an alcove, one table, one chair. No outlet near the bed. The hot water pressure was very, very poor. I got a shower with a trickle as I took it at 6 am.... More
