Booked this hotel because it was the closest and best value at the time of booking, but it was definitely a surprise. Arrived around 7ish and was greeted sweetly by the receptionist. I had requested a better room location to avoid the noise complaints which I read in previous reviews. Honestly, its not much of a bother, but yes if... More

Wanted a hotel near all the main shops...Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street but didnt want to pay a fortune....this hotel was excellent. On the doorstep of the BBC building. Only a 3 star but was great for our needs. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which gave us loads of room. Bathroom good size and very clean.... More

We booked through lastminute.com to stay one night wtih 3 children. The staff were very welcoming and had upgraded us so that one of the rooms was a small appartment - very handy with the children. The hotel is in a great location just off Great Portland St so easy to access the British Museum and Oxford St. It is... More

Great hotel and great service. We got a last minute deal on an app and were very pleased with the quality of the hotel. It was a perfectly charming London-esque room with convenient location to restaurants/bars, and the tube.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I had none of the problems mentioned in previous reviews. Reception staff were helpful in answering my questions via email before my stay and also in person when I arrived. The breakfast rooms were busy but not overcrowded, and the breakfast was great. Yes, the rooms were old and the floors creaky, but... More

That's about it - it's on a quiet street between the BBC and Gt Portland St - so brilliant location for Oxford St, Regents Park etc. and one of the more affordable places in this area. Staff were lovely. It's one of those 19C building blocks that characterise the area and both times I've stayed have been in quirky end-of-corridor... More

If you want somewhere write in the heart of London but not expensive , this is the place. 6 minutes from Oxford Circus tube. Staff were very friendly and it had a luggage room so even after we checked out we could leave our luggage so we explored London. and walked to Hyde Park for winter wonderland. Our room was... More

Stayed here for two nights this week for a mid week trip to London for shows and sight seeing with husband and daughter. Staff lovely and room very good size with a double and single bed in it. Yes it was a bit dated but was clean and comfortable. We were on the fourth floor and at the front but... More

Most points covered in previous reviews. Fairly easy walk to nearest tube station or Oxford Street for shopping. Public areas of hotel are smart however the room was in need of some refurb and moderinsation. Main issue is the noise, tube trains can clearly be heard in the room. From 7am onwards traffic noise increases and bang on 8am each... More

Stayed here one night with my 2 daughters and were given a free upgrade to an apartment, lovely surprise, great location. For shops and sightseeing, minutes to oxford circus and despite central location quiet at night. Breakfast continental which was perfectly adequate, staff friendly and helpful. Hotel needs updating but is still very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
