That's about it - it's on a quiet street between the BBC and Gt Portland St - so brilliant location for Oxford St, Regents Park etc. and one of the more affordable places in this area. Staff were lovely. It's one of those 19C building blocks that characterise the area and both times I've stayed have been in quirky end-of-corridor... More

If you want somewhere write in the heart of London but not expensive , this is the place. 6 minutes from Oxford Circus tube. Staff were very friendly and it had a luggage room so even after we checked out we could leave our luggage so we explored London. and walked to Hyde Park for winter wonderland. Our room was... More

Stayed here for two nights this week for a mid week trip to London for shows and sight seeing with husband and daughter. Staff lovely and room very good size with a double and single bed in it. Yes it was a bit dated but was clean and comfortable. We were on the fourth floor and at the front but... More

Most points covered in previous reviews. Fairly easy walk to nearest tube station or Oxford Street for shopping. Public areas of hotel are smart however the room was in need of some refurb and moderinsation. Main issue is the noise, tube trains can clearly be heard in the room. From 7am onwards traffic noise increases and bang on 8am each... More

Stayed here one night with my 2 daughters and were given a free upgrade to an apartment, lovely surprise, great location. For shops and sightseeing, minutes to oxford circus and despite central location quiet at night. Breakfast continental which was perfectly adequate, staff friendly and helpful. Hotel needs updating but is still very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is very excellent: right next to BBC station and Oxford Circus! It was our 1st time in London, and the receptionist (named April) was very helpful!!! Their breakfast was also delicious! The rooms were simple and clean. Although, they can benefit from a little remodeling. Overall, I like their... More

I stayed two nights at Astor court and enjoyed it. The location is simply great, close to Oxford Street for those who enjoy shopping, regents park, camden. Just perfect. The room is rather simple and a bit retro but beds were perfect and clean. The staff is very nice and breakfast was fine too. .From Heathrow to paddington it's superfast... More

Stayed for one night and pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. Bed was comfortable but only a double when king size now seems to be the norm. The hotel is old and you can often hear the rumble of the tube but when considering the cost it's reasonable, if you want flash pop around the corner to The... More

The Astor court is in need of a refurb to come close to a 3 star. The reception area is nice but the rooms are very tired and dated. My wife even got locked in the bathroom twice as the door handle didn't work from the inside. On the positive side it was in a great location for Xmas shopping... More

Astor Court is a simple, no-frills, smaller and older hotel that's near the BBC and about a half mile from the Oxford Circus station. It's located on a side street so there's not a lot of street noise to worry about. The room they used to store luggage from travelers waiting for their rooms to be available was very small,... More
