Well, I expected another cupboard to stay in when I booked this hotel, like any other budget hotel in London Zone 1. However, though the room wasn't large, it wasn't overtly cramped. The bathroom had a proper bathtub, which is a luxury in this category. Though, come to think of it, it is slightly higher priced that the other such... More

This hotel was great value for money. Single rooms in London are generally awful! They are tiny, old and expensive! This hotel, however, was excellent value, still fairly small but lovely and nicely furnished. The bathroom was big enough for a bath! This is unheard of in most places. Also had tea and coffee making facilities. No in room wifi... More

We were a bit anxious about this hotel after reading the reviews, but we remained open minded. We had a lovely stay, the hotel was nice and clean. Well decorated and comfortable. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was very nice having both cooked and continental and a fresh choice of eggs. We thought it was good value for... More

No reception, No Wifi, broken shower, broken TV. There version of a double bed is literally two single pushed together, no double duvet but two singles. Rooms are tiny. And staff that have no customer service skills at all. Would have had a better experience from the Premier Inn next door. And for this it is seriously over priced.

2 minutes walk from subway station. Central London is about 10 minutes by the subway. Rooms are small, but OK. Wifi only in the lobby. Plenty of dining opportunities around. Staff very helpful. Would stay there again!

We stayed in this hotel New Year's Eve, and although we realised that the price would be higher due to its location and the date, we were epecting something which reflected the '4 Stars' that were advertised to us. The room was tiny, but that's not an issue, we were only using it for a place to crash after the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, must say it is very poor. The reception is in one building, restaurant is across the road, and our room was way down the road. Not very convenient, especially in bad weather. We arrived Saturday, booked a room with a double bed. Given a room with twin beds. After a walk to reception, we... More

This was a terrible experience for me. From the very beginning I had problems at this hotel - reception staff did not seem very polite, corridors were so narrow you can barely pass through even with the small suitcase. When I entered the room, I was incredibly disappointed as the room was tiny, there was absolutely no space to move.... More

I'll start with the positive- room was clean, bed was comfy and the buffet breakfast was lovely- very fresh! Now on to the bad- room was tiny, the bed seemed smaller than a standard double and still took up almost all of the room. The TV would not turn on, the radiator would not turn off and one curtain fell... More

I was recommended to this property by a business colleague and initially I was a little disappointed with the room in the main building above reception. The room was tiny with little water pressure in the shower and suffered a fair amount of noise from the tube railway line below. But I was so tired I slept pretty well in... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
