My wife, daughter and I booked this hotel described by Expedia as a 4-star mystery hotel. We were conned. The manager of the hotel said that the hotel was in fact 3-star. In our experience it was more like 2-star. Expedia have not answered our emails and rejected our reviews. We had to pay £5 to leave our bags because... More

I made a very late booking for a double room at this hotel. I was apprehensive as I was not sure of what I would get for £54 which included breakfast. The reception was very welcoming and the whole place was very clean. I read on the website that some rooms did not have windows so was a little worried... More

Very enjoyable stay. Very clean and friendly staff. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice. The hotel is located in a great place, near two underground stations, plenty of restaurants and a short walk to Hyde Park

We spent a gréât Evening watching a soccer game at the Hôtel bar. The staff is real great and the snack value for money is real good for London. Nothing exceptionnal but the hot dogs and squids are real good. We may come Back for a stay for this hotel knows what service is

I was expecting a 4 stars hotel but it is only a 2 stars. That's not what is written on the presentation of the hotel. For the price no breakfast included I would quote it costly. Elevator too small for the amount of guests

Our first priority is always cleanliness, and this hotel is excellent for that. The public areas, bedroom and bath are all kept very clean. The room was quite small, with 2 twin beds taking up about 90% of the floor space. The bath was modern, with tub and shower and plenty of hot water. Front desk staff was friendly, responsive... I recently stayed here for three nights. PROS: - The rooms were clean, and the bathroom was in very good shape. - The hotel was extremely convenient to two different Tube stations, only a 10 minute walk from each. - There were several restaurants close by, as well as coffee shops and a convenience store. - The front desk staff... Hi, I live in Earls Court and made a booking via booking.com for one night in the hotel for my girlfriend. I requested high floor and was given a room in the basement floor B6. I requested a twin bed and was given a room with twin beds covered with one double sheet, so the twin beds was made as... More

If you're staying in London as a special treat and want something upmarket and luxurious, probably not the best place to come. However, we simply wanted somewhere to rest our heads, have a wash and use as a leap pad to explore London and this was perfect. We paid £44 in the week prior to arrival and am blown away... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
