We needed a double and a single for two nights for a reasonable price normally our budget is a bit bigger. I was worried about the cleanliness but I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and how newish the fixtures and fittings were that I was so pleased and relieved. The bathroom... More

This hotel is the wurst hotel I have ever stayed in not only that the room was about 12x15. The concierges at the front desk were not pleasant to deal with. I wish I had more space to write more. Unfriendly.

We ( 8 students and me) stayed in this hotel only 1 week. We like that it was a short walk to the tube and lot s of small restaurants and cafes nearby.Only 10 minutes walk to museums. The staff in the hotel was very friendly, rooms were cleaned every day, towels and bed sheets were changed every day.We had... More

Nice reception and bar area. The rooms were expensive (I guess due to a good, central location) but not worth the price. Extremely small with an old fashioned feel. No A/C, just a fan, which was not good considering the v hot weather. Iron only available from reception (and I had to carry it to my room myself). No fridge... More

Would never stay there again. Seeing the mold in the bathroom tells me they do not take pride in cleaning their rooms. The room was very small and I had to climb into the bed from the bottom. Not enough room for all our luggage. I would never recommend this hotel.

Do not stay at this hotel in the summer months since there is no central A/C. The rooms are VERY tiny so be sure you can deal with it, room was mostly bed. On the plus side, the room rate was reasonable and they are clean with a private bathroom, there is an elevator, it's in an upscale residential neighborhood,... More

For my last night in London I unfortunately could stay no longer in the lovely hotel I had before this one. So, I booked and paid extra GBP20 for "deluxe double". If my room was a deluxe then I'd hate to see an ordinary double!! Small, shabby REALLY BASIC room. No fridge, no iron, no air con. (just a little... More

Hotel situated just off Cromwell Road, surprisingly quiet in view of it's location. Easy walk to Gloucester Road Underground, and perfect for our needs of an appointment at Royal Marsden Hospital. Room on top floor was bright and airy. Breakfast was extra but good value at £10 for continental. Bathroom was adequate, nothing special but clean. Plenty of eating out... More

Stayed here for a show in London - booked for two nights. When we arrive at the hotel the reception area looked quite promising, as did the photos online. However, when my colleague and I were assigned our rooms on the 6th floor we weren't best pleased when we were greeted with tiny corridor's that were covered in damp and... More

Very clean hotel, rooms very small. Good location but hard to find from tube station earls court nearest one. Should give instructions on how to get there as is walking distance and taxie's dont want to drive you there for such a short trip.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
