Very good location for getting around London however rooms are small and reception area is very small ( hope that no one else is checking in at the same time as you). The hotel is split in that the rooms are in one building on one side of a road ( quite road) and the breakfast and abr area is... More

Ambassadors Hotel is located in a very nice area of London (Kensington and Chelsea) and within a very nice five to ten minute walk from the Museum of Natural History and the Victoria and Albert Museum which are both worth a visit. The nearest underground station is Gloucester Road in the Piccadilly line. The rooms are quite small but comfortable... More

We stayed back in July 2015. After reading some reviews we weren't expecting much, we found a deal for twin room for just £38 for two nights. We thought it would be to good to be true. We were in the basement but had a window and air conditioning. Our own bathroom, tv and plenty of sockets to plug in... More

I stayed in this hotel in Saturday night with my son and friends. The room was tiny, mattresses uncomfortable and the toilet was tiny. Had to stand in the doorway to lean over the sink. The staff, though, were helpful and friendly. They allowed us late checkout as we got to the hotel late.

Hotel itself was average and what you would expect for the price, nothing fancy, just a hotel. The thing that was annoying was that we arrived a few hours before check in and they charged us 5 pounds to hold our suitcases for us, never in my life whether in a cheap or expensive hotel have I ever had to... Where does one begin? Positives- Central location Friendly & Helpful staff. Coffee machine in room. Negatives- Bedrooms!!! We were two couples visiting London for a catch up. Both couples had different rooms, but with the same common denominator - small size!!! We had to climb into our bed, it was literally wall to wall, so it meant climbing over sleeping... More

Our Deluxe Double Room had the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. You are unable to comfortably walk around the two single beds which have been pushed together to make a double. The only rooms with air con are in the basement (they will give you a fan if you ask for one). It is on a... More

We needed a double and a single for two nights for a reasonable price normally our budget is a bit bigger. I was worried about the cleanliness but I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and how newish the fixtures and fittings were that I was so pleased and relieved. The bathroom... More

This hotel is the wurst hotel I have ever stayed in not only that the room was about 12x15. The concierges at the front desk were not pleasant to deal with. I wish I had more space to write more. Unfriendly.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
