The great location of this hotel makes up for the small rooms, poorly maintained bathrooms and overheated pokey corridors. But really the only reason to stay in this area is to get out and about with Natural History Museum, Gloucester Rd tube and Hummingbird Bakery all within walking distance. We only spent the one night (in triple room) but arrived... More

Spent a couple of nights here and would not hesitate to return. We booked a triple ensuite room. It certainly wasn't luxurious- but the room was clean and had everything you would expect including tea/coffee facilities, complimentary toiletries, t.v. ect. The beds were comfortable too. It was a bit of a tight squeeze with three beds in the room, but,... More

I am a regular visitor to London and have stayed at many different hotels, particularly in the Earls Ct/ Kensington area. Unusually when booking the Ambassadors Hotel, I did so without reading any tripadvisor reviews first. Had I read any I may not have booked the hotel as the majority are far from complimentary! We paid roughly £90 for a... More

This hotel offers only what you absolutely need to spend a night away from home. The rooms are small and so are the beds. It is clean but the rugs are worn if not worn out. The bathroom is very tiny and the pressure in the watertaps is very low. Therefore it feels hard to take a normal shower. There... More

As you walk into the reception everything looks clean and sparkly – however it stops there. Make no mistake – as soon as you step into the lift into the corridors it is tatty carpets, exposed wires and the aroma of cheap cleaning products. The reception staff were pleasant, but highly inefficient. I was waiting 20 minutes to check in... More

Room was tiny we had to move the bed so we could fit our suitcases in our room. The bed was way too small for two people and our feet were hanging off the end. The temperature outside was cold but inside was boiling hot. We had the Window open and the fan on at night and still couldn't sleep.... More

London accommodation has two things going for it - 1) Expensive and 2) Small. If you get anything that exceeds these expectations you're doing well! The Ambassadors Hotel is located in Kensington, a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Station, close to Sainsbury's, Harrods and the Victoria and Albert Museum among others. The front of the hotel is well kept, but... More

We just returned from a trip to London and Paris. The Ambassador Hotel was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. Extremely tiny room, no air conditioning and was HOT in the room and hallways. The hotel smelled extremely musty and the breakfast was absolutely horrible. We tried to get room service, but no one answered the... More

This was our first night staying in London. We wanted to be closer to city center. We booked this hotel for 5 nights. Location couldn't be nicer. One side of the hotel is next to a busy street that had a grocery store and several places to eat at. The other side was a residential area. Beautiful, safe area. And... More

Stayed 4 nights in a single room. Wow, that was probably the worst, tiniest room I ever had in my life. Bathroom is the size of a dressing closet. I could not believe how small shower area was. Room light is probably a 20W bulb which gives almost no light. Paid WiFi is terrible. Breakfast at 10£ had the worst... More
