Pros- great location, it's in between the Earl's Court and Gloucester Rd tube stations which gets you within the same zone as most of the popular attractions such as Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, and St Pancras station. Price is pretty good for location. Also close to restaurants and grocery store so if you want to pick up water... More

I booked this room through Hotwire which listed this hotel as a 4-star. NOT even close. The hotel itself advertises as a 3-star, and that is being generous. The room was grim (and tiny) and had three single cots, two of which were pushed together to make a double bed. I had to turn sideways to move down either side... More

Everything was ok with this hotel and agreeably clean and warm. The bedroom was small but adequate and the shower was good. It was perfectly situated for the museums and tube stations which were all within a short walk. However, the sound on the TV was awful and the wash basin was so small the kettle wouldn't fit under the... More

The place is quite well located, not far from the metro, nice and quiet area. The hotel itself is just about decent: very small room, thin walls, no free wi-fi (though not expensive). The price was ok for London, excluding breakfast.

I booked this place through Hotwire at a cheaper price but paid an extra £60 for a 'deluxe room'. The room was nice but very small so I can't see how it was a deluxe. The bathroom had a good sized shower but again very cramped for two people. Bed was comfy and staff were friendly. It's in a handy... More

My friend booked this hotel and I certainly hope it was cheap because we had the worst experience. First, when we arrived, our room was not ready by the stated "check in" time. Then they wanted £5 to keep our luggage for us while we waited for our room. The room itself was a shoebox, and the bathroom had no... More

So glad there was a lift . Also had two large windows that could open . Excellent heat . Shower could use more pressure . But even though the two twin beds were very close to each other we were very comfortable . My only complaint was the English Breakfast was over prized and awful . Eggs had no flavor... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
