Came to England for a wedding then decided to head to London for a short break, in the middle of the Rugby World Cup mind you so accommodation was hard to find as it was. Stayed for 9 nights in a twin room without breakfast as the price was expensive enough. Found the ladies at reception rude and unhelpful but... More

rooms are small, that`s what I expect from cheap chain hotels. Still room was clean. Service was ok but that`s mostly it. Expensive for what you get. Poor breakfast- tea, coffee, muesli and croissants.

Thank ekze

Here is how I would summarize my stay at The Ambassador's: Positives: 1. Clean linen and towels 2. Access cards worked at all times 3. Breakfast included 4. Hot water works 5. Convenient location Negatives: 1. Very poor quality mattresses/bed-frames 2. Eastern European staff that sport fake politeness, skin-deep racism -- I was stared down by at least two receptionists... Stayed here for work. The lobby area light and inviting. Staff were helpful and hotel was clean. I was put in a basement room originally and requested to be moved as I felt uncomfortable with direct access from the road. My next room was to a very poor standard and as a very frequent traveller to London i cut short... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Lovely location in Kensington. The room was small but sweet. I stayed with my partner and we had many meetings and exhibitions to attend. So we were in and out a lot. No problems other than parking. Finding a space was not a problem but we were having to keep the meter topped up all the... More

Stayed for just over two weeks, mid-late September 2015. Preface: complaining about small rooms in London is pointless. It's London: did you really go there to spend all your time in your room? Over the last dozen years or so, I've stayed at places all around the city (not "The City") - every room has been small, some wickedly tiny.... More

I have booked a deluxe room which was very fresh , clean and ok size. The bathroom was newly renovated and in the room in general was good. The location of the hotel is not bad as it is about 5min from the nearest tube station which connects u to central London in about 10 min. There is a big... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights and from the moment we checked in it was a very interesting expense. We had the smallest room i have EVER seen for 3 adults the room could barely fit the 3 miniature single beds in it let alone out suitcases. The bathroom we had the same situation getting into the shower... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
