I saw the property when staying at the Millenium Gloucester. The Baileys is just next door and accross from Gloucester Road underground station. Perfect for walking around Kensington or even reaching most parts of London easily. The rooms are in traditional, bloomy decor, well kept and equipped. All of them have different sizes and styles as it is an old... More

A gem ... the staff were all helpful and friendly, the room was nicely appointed, spotlessly clean and we never heard any outside sounds so sleep was uninterrupted ... it was within walking distance of great local eateries and restaurants, shopping and the nearby Museum of Natural History - quite the treat and highly recommended.

the hotel is beautiful, and the sfaff is helpfull and pleasent. It's location can not be better - right across from Gloucester road toub Sta. (for 3 tube lines), in wonderfull south Kensington, 5 minutes from museumes, and right next to coffee-places, pubs and a good supermarket. The down side: It's a little out-dated, the floors are creaky, the pipe-system... More

I booked this hotel based on the good reviews from this site. When we checked in we were asked if we would like an upgrade for an additional 45 Pounds per night, our original rate was 110 Pounds per night. The front desk told us the room would be much larger with a seating area. Room size was fine but... More

This hotel was very nice. It is a very old victorian hotel. The first night we arrived we realized our a/c in the room was not working they immediately offered to move us to another room. The rooms are older looking but still very nice. The location is spectacular. It is right next to the Gloucester tube station which will... More

I am a frequent guest here since I work for a company that is technology provider for the hotel. Also, I am a preferred member of their loyalty club. Checked in and realized at teh counter that I had lost my wallet 2 minutes ago in the taxi...I finished with all the cards' cancellations at 2am with the great help... More

Traveling with my mother we got a twin deluxe room - very spacious for central London. Across the road from the tube and easy access to plenty of food outlets, including Tescos Express. Food in Olives Restaurant - excellent, wish we had eaten here twice. Great Italian cafe down the street, only 1 min, fantastic coffee with free croissant and... More

I regretted that I only stayed here for 3 days out of my 8-day trip in London. I stayed in 3 different hotels in London and this hotel WINS HANDS DOWN! I stayed in another American chain, paid double the price at some obscure location and was not happy with what I got. Millenium Baileys is the best that I've... More

The Baileys Hotel has a grand lobby that the guest rooms don't really live up to. They are small and quite dated. Having said that, they are comfortable and clean, and in this price range I think you would be hard pressed to find a larger room size in this part of London. The location is the biggest plus for... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
