OK so the room size was simply oppressive. It's a nice hotel good breakfast and service is normally efficient and friendly. I've posted a couple of room photos - the bedroom was ridiculously cramped lamp over the bed, no real room to work so forget catswinging. The bathroom was awful I'm an average sized (6' bloke 13 stone and quite... More

Nice rooms, great staff such as Jonas and Sonny! Thank for the great service.. The breakfast was also delicious and it was a great. The hotel is very centrally located and has good transport links. Just opposite is a cozy pub. We will definitely come back here next time. Thanks for the great London stay.

I decided to go to this hotel because of it's excellent location. Furthermore the design was exactly what you expect for a hotel in London. I by myself work for a hotel business in year but this outreached a lot I saw before. Remarkable staff members as Jonas, Eleni and Sonny gave me lovely recommendations for restaurants, directions. Them but... More

This is a typical london hotel that looks great from the outside and foyer but thats where it ends. When you walk in and from the pictures your expecting what you would from a 4 star hotel, which is also quite expensive room rate wise. However the rest of the hotel is run down, and when you get to the... More

Recently enjoyed a weekend break in London and opted to stay at the Baileys Hotel having read all of the positive reviews. It has to be said this hotel is in a great location with Gloucester Road tube right outside the front entrance as well as within walking distance of museums and Harrods for shopping. The rooms are quite small... More

I stayed at the Bailey's over the Christmas break a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. So when I decided to return to London for a long weekend, I knew where I would be staying. I arrived with high expectations and was not disappointed. The staff is among the kindest I've ever encountered. The room was spacious and... More

We stayed at Baileys for a couple of nights in mid February, we deliberately chose the hotel because of the reviews and it's location. Sitting alongside Gloucester Road tube it has good links to the Piccadilly line and the Circle & District. It is also within easy walking distance to South Kensington for all the museums, as well as a... More

I booked a standard double which was a reasonable size, but I think it might be too small for two people. Also the room faced the Gloucester Road and I had to sleep with the windows closed because of the noise. I have stayed at this hotel before and would recommend paying the extra to get a good sized room.... More

we stayed several times, and once they puts in a room with a tiny bed against the wall and not even enough space to walk around it, let alone placing your bags! We had to make quite a lot of fuss amd eventualy got a decent room after two days. We had booked a superior room! And were not please... More

An excellent location ( opposite the tube station) for an indulgent meet up with friends. Staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and friendly. Lacking a bit in atmosphere as we were the only ones having tea at the time. However it was a really tasty spread helped by the glass of Moët & Chandon. Everything was fresh, nicely presented and very tasty.... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
