This hotel has a great location, 10 mins walk from Oxford Street, 1 min walk from Hyde Park. Queensway is two minutes walk. The hotel staff were really pleasant and efficient. Our room had been freshly decorated and, although quite small it was all in good working order. The one exception to this was the air con. There was a... More

My daughter and I stayed here as a start to our 2 week holiday in Great Britain. We spent 6 nights at this hotel, and yes we were a bit shocked to arrive only to see it was completely covered in scaffolding and netting. Upon checking in, we were assured the construction would not interfere with our sleep and they... More

The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, the bar is shut and the second floor is a building site. the out side is covered in scaffolding and netting. On check in allocated well decorated but very dark and gloomy room on 3rd floor directed to the only functioning lift. Sash window had restricted opening of about 4 inches, room very hot saw... I stayed at the Mornington on 04.07.10 for one night. We were a party of 4, consisting of three female family members and one of our collective female friends. We arrived early, and was told the room we had booked was not ready - but the gentleman on reception was quick to source us an alternative room that was available... More

We arrived to find the place covered in scaffolding. We had booked and paid in advance and were not is a position to pay the rack rate else where. Many facilities, ie bar, lounge, lifts were not available but continued to be advertised. I'd expected better of Best Western.

Worst hotel I have seen in my life: it is being refurbished and of course it is not stated on their website. No need for an alarm clock: you are waken up at 7.30 by very noisy workers. A labyrinth to access your room, dust everywhere, heavy smell of paint, cables hanging on the walls and cherry on top, unfriendly... More

I arrived and immediately was disappointed by the exterior which had peeling paint, half the building boarded up and cigarette ends littered on the steps. The room I was given was not to the standard I have experienced from previous Best Western Hotels. My room had wooden floors, a rug both of which were not clean looking. The net curtains... More

The Best Western Mornington is an average hotel - we stayed here because they allowed our dog to stay and Best Western's tend to be pet friendly so when traveling with a large dog, we know we can rely on the Best Western. The location is good - it is near 2 tube stops and 5 minute walk to Hyde... More

This Hotel doesn't even come up to Travel Lodge standards. Why would you want laminate flooring in a bedroom, And then put a rug on it?! Dangerous I thought. The shower fixings were hanging out of the wall and flooded the whole bathroom. The wardrobe! That was a whole new experience for me. Not even up to Travel Lodge standards,... More
