After reading some reviews we were a bit scared of where we were going to end up. But the staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was rather small but clean with a nice view and a big window. If one thing the carpet the really needs to be changed and our tap kept on dripping. But the hotel... More

My friend and I spent our weekendtrip at the Commodore Hotel. From all hotels in London which were so awful and just like youth hostels, the Commodore (unless you visit the most expensive 5 star hotel) was the most decent one. Don't get fooled by the beautiful vintage exterior and lobby, the rooms (unless you take a suite) are very... More

Working in london looking for some where at a good rate, I found this hotel which can be as much as £300 per night down to £65.00 for the night so I booked 2 rooms. one room on the top floor. Nice and clean ish! great shower and comfortable bed. The other room was in the basement a bit small... More

I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews of this hotel, but it has been a complete delight. It is extremely quiet, is located in a wonderful part of London, is very clean, and has a lovely atmosphere. Although my room (a single) is fairly basic side, it is a great value and the lobby has a lot of... More

I stayed at same time as ArthurH of Grantham who has written a previous review, entitled "if it could be a zero it would be". The stay was horrendous and yet again I have attached some photographs of the supposed executive room with its worn dirty carpet, rusty radiator, dangerous electrics and showing the general grubby state of the place.... I recently stayed at the Commodore Hotel. Location was great, 5 minute walk from the Lancaster Gate Tube Station. The room was nice, fairly large by London standards. Very clean with nice fluffy towels in the bathroom (I'm a sucker for nice, fresh, fluffy towels!). Massive walk in shower, very nice! Nice flat screen TV on a sliding rack inside... More

I stayed here whilst on business last week. Great location - few mins to Lancaster Gate tube but nice and quiet. Receiption staff friendly and welcoming. Room (on 6th floor) quite small but nicely appointed. tea & coffee facilities and mini bar (which I did not use). 1 hour free wi-fi which is a bit mean. Did not eat here... More

Pleasantly surprised after several bad experiences at other London Hotels. For the price at the Commodore you get bigger rooms, stylish interior, great helpful staff, cleanliness and great location. Dont come here expecting the Hilton or brand new fittings and fixtures...come here expecting great value and a character hotel with easy access to everywhere in London. Perfect for the business... Stayed here on business and was really pleased. Initially I thought the room was a bit tacky, but it was comfortable enough and had everything you need, at least for one night. What really changed my opinion was when I returned after work to collect my suitcase, and asked if I could sit in and catch up on emails. I... More
