Looking for an hotel closed to Baker Street, I found the Blandford through Booking. Nice little rooms, good breakfast, qualified staff at the desk, we enjoy our Sherlock holmes trip (baker street, the exhibition at the museum of London, the pub). Baker street station is also very convenient to go anywhere in the city.

My wife, daughter and I had a pleasant stay here for three nights in February. Our room was nice and clean, and worked very well for us. Though we must admit it was a bit difficult to pass the sofa bed when it was folded out. As stated by others, location is excellent – in a quiet street, close to... More

This is a reasonable and affordable place to stay in central London. They only do breakfast which was quite good- the staff were not bad but no one was particularly friendly or stood out. I cant get enthusiastic but recommend it for its location and reasonable price

Dear Robert, Many thanks for your review about the Blandford Hotel and your feedback. We are a small and comfortable hotel in the heart of Marylebone, just beside Baker Street, and as you well mentioned, we do serve breakfast, but so far we do not offer the dinner option. In regards to our staff, they always try to give the... More

I booked The Blandford for my 62 year old mother and her best friend, but managed to spend a lot of time hanging around reception waiting for them, so I got a good feel for the place. Rooms were perfect, clean and very quiet (despite its 2 minute walk from Baker Street tube). Breakfast was excellent... and that's coming from... More

This is a good hotel for getting out & about from in London as stated by others. Having booked a twin room we were given the triple bed room which meant movement around the beds was really difficult. Beds & bedding clean as were rooms generally. Room 6 is above the kitchen so expect those early morning smells and next... More

This hotel is a warm, cosy place and is in a fantastic location. It's right next to Baker Street station, so getting around London is really easy. It's also a five minute walk from Tussaud's. The room was lovely and spacious and clean with a beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was also pretty good too. The price a little more than I'd... More

My wife and I stayed at the hotel on the 16th Feb. The hotel was within a 10 minute walk of Oxford street. The bakers street tube was within 2 minutes walk of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel receptionist was brilliant and really helpful. Not sure of his name but he was ever so helpful. We travelled... More

This is a small, independent hotel. It is in a central location a short stroll from Baker Street tube station, but down a quiet side street, so no constant traffic noise immediately outside. It is well managed, smart, clean and tidy, with good housekeeping standards. It was a refreshing change to stay in a small London hotel which strives to... More

I stayed at the Blandford for the valentine's weekend and found this hotel a really pleasant surprise. Nicely situated just a few steps from the Baker Street underground and with walking distance from Hyde park and Oxford street. Nice, clean rooms at a great price.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
