I've visited twice already this year. My, then boyfriend surprised me with a birthday weekend in January with a huge corner suits. The hotel is full of old marble in browns and creams, the staff are wonderful and remember your name as you walk in. Breakfasts are good, probably could do with more choice but you find in a room designed... More

Just 10 minute walk from Euston Station, and opposite a pleasant park. Ideal location for exploring the attractions with easy walking to covent garden, British museum and parliament. Hotel has decent size clean rooms, with a typical English buffet breakfast with continental options. Has a sort of Victorian fading charm about its decor though the rooms are relatively modern in... hi, we recently booked two nights in this iconic hotel as a wheelchair user. although it is a beautiful impressive building the only entrance has lots of steps. A sweet concierge offered a machine which climbs stairs but i didn't feel confident in using it as i have a painful neck, although other wheelchair guests have used it. so....the assistant... More

Staying at the Russell Hotel is like honoring a grand old lady - even if she is a bit past her prime. Staff extremely courteous and friendly. Breakfast superb! When we complained that the coffee was weak, the manager immediately brought us strong Americanas. When we complained that the towel rack remained on with no off switch, an electrician was... More

The decadence is mostly delivered, though under the surface The Hotel Russell is only very good, not excellent or stunning. As others have said, the entrance hall and staircase are stunning, and check in was assisted by very helpful and welcoming staff (unfortunately no discount if your name is Russell ;-)) Everything indicates splendour. My room was distinctly average though.... More

The entrance hall is magnificent, and wouldn't be out of place in a stately home. When we arrived it was full of people trying, as we were, to check in. It took everyone ages - a decided minus. The concierge service was amazing, one of the staff actually taking a family outside to show them where to pick up a... More

I was staying at this hotel for a couple of days (23rd June - 27th June). Excellent greetings from staff, especially concierge. I had a single room. While it was nice and the bed was comfortable, especially after exhausting days in the city, it was somewhat too tight for me as I am a tall guy. Didnt bothered much to... More

Impressive entrance which meets expectations, unfortunately after reception the standards drop rapidly. The temperature was late 20's so when I checked in and the Air-con didn't work I went back down to let reception know. I was told someone would fix this during the time as was out. I returned to the Air-con still not working and it was too... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
