Stayed at this great hotel on saturday night and I so impressed. The reception staff were friendly and proffessional, the food was great and the service was fast! I cant fault this hotel in anyway, if you are staying in london, say at the Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes

The hotel was so much better than the last time we stayed. Last time we did not have a great stay but we informed them of this, we returned and it was fantastic this time. The hotel is in a superb location, has lovely staff, nice food and beautiful rooms. I really recommend this hotel if you like to shop,... More

The conceirge service is non existent, I made an enquirey before my arrival but did not get a response and no-one made any offer of help with baggage on arrival. The location is great but it is let down by the staff and lack of service. Checking in was long winded and difficult as they had somehow made a problem... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a small but nice hotel. We had a room on the mezzanine level that did not face the street and it was nicely attended to, clean, and not noisy at all. Room size was fine. I had read concerns on here about the bathroom door (it is a frosted glass) but I... More

We were very impressed with our first visit in March 08 and decided to return again. This time we were greeted by a warm welcome from staff that had looked after us on our first visit (impressive for a central London hotel we feel). The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable and well serviced. The food is great (both... More

The hotel is set amongst shops & buildings in busy Baker Street but is little gem. The staff were friendly & able to help with all our enquires & requests. The health spa facilites although basic were enough to let ourselves relax & unwind. Due to other reservations we didnt eat an evening meal in the resturant however the continental... More

This hotel has an average price but my experience cannot be worst. The receptions is in a kind of pub, the key did not worked, the air conditioning was over the bed and, believe me!, licked in my face!!!, we say in Spanish, "es una verguenza". The service knew the level and where sorry, nothing else than sorry. Do not... More

We booked the Sherlock Holmes Hotel to celebrate my partners Birthday; it was absolutely perfect. The location was ideal and the service we received superb. The loft suite was stunning, wonderfully spacious and luxurious. Everything you could imagine was available the next morning for breakfast and seeing a sample of the evening menu I wish I had booked for us... More

What a nice Hotel, It is like being at home away from home. The whole experience was very nice from the lovely cocktails in the bar listening live music to a nice meal in the restaurant. The room was spot on, I consider myself a critic due to the fact that I've been in many Hotels, I couldn't find anything... More

Things didn't start very well. When we arrived to the hotel, the girl in reception seemed to be puzzled when I said we had two rooms booked, as I could see she only had one, I said that I had booked a double and a twin, she said the rooms were not ready, fair enough, so we left and came... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
