Check in was extremely slow, 20 mins queuing then issues with the system. The room was reasonable, although quite small and the air con was really weak meaning that the whole room was boiling after a shower. That said, the location is brilliant so this makes up a bit for the room shortcomings. Not cheap but overall a good stay.

We visited the restaurant in this hotel with our two adult sons for a family meal. Great setting but could improve the outdoor seating as it was very haphazard. Plants in odd pots and the seating needed to be modernised especially as the entrance to the hotel/restaurant is modern. Good choice on the set priced menu. We had cocktails before... More

Went to this hotel for a wonderful lunch, eat as much as you like with unlimited Prosecco. The food was fantastic, high quality, great variety and served by attentive, friendly staff who wanted to make our visit special. The furnishings and ambience in the restaurant was wonderful, a great British traditional setting. Would definitely go again!

We stayed in this hotel for the London Pride weekend. It was a very short notice Lastminute.com Top Secret Hotels booking and we paid £150 per night. This was cheaper than central London Premier Inn locations were quoting, so I was happy with that. First impressions in the very grand reception area were good. Check-in was smooth and polite. I'd... We stayed for one night on a Saturday. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a very friendly man who checked us in and asked us about our celebration. The room was large and the bed seemed MASSIVE! We received complimentary wine and chocolates to help our celebrations! Thank you very much :) In the morning, we used the pool... More

The hotel is centrally located in Piccadilly and our room was comfortable although dated. Every aspect of customer service was terrible. A few examples...the check-in process took a long time maybe because they were having problems with the system used to program room keys. We tried calling the front desk from the room a few times and could not get... More

The hotel is in a great location for doing the typical tourist stuff that London has to offer. The beds are super comfortable. The pool in the basement is a hidden surprise that you don't expect. However the breakfast at the club lounge and the afternoon snacks are a bit of a let down.

We arrived after a very long and tiring flight from Australia so the friendly and efficient staff person at reception was most welcome. First impressions count! From then on, everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable and the location is brilliant. We've stayed in many places in London but this was by far our... More

Only stayed one night with a group on business. The hotel is a very short walk from Piccadilly station, Regent Street, and the West End, so for anyone on vacation it is in a great location. The room was clean, quiet and reasonably sized; I was in a classic room with king bed. Breakfast was very good and the staff... More

With the exception of the location and the friendly door/ luggage men, the staff was actually quite cold. Credit cards were applied to the wrong rooms, I almost wasn't allowed to stay without my husband's approval since it was made with his card, and just a lot of disapproving remarks here and there. It's very noisy hotel, the doors automatically... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
