3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed there overnight and went to see show. Very good location and comfortable rooms. Finding our room was not easy. Get lift to one floor then walk down some steps, strange. Welcome was good, asked for driving licence when I checked in, why? Drinks hugely overpriced. Breakfast that was advertised for £28 was awful. Had to wait some time to... More

Have wanted to stay here for a while and location cant be beat , check in took an age and the very pleasant young guy checking us in was professional but looked like he was still in training a lot of paper shuffling and repeated questions , the "music" in the lobby and lifts is proudly advertised as some French... Le Meridien is an elite brand within the Starwood family. Some of the properties are in need of a refresh. This property has been going through a refresh and work continues. I requested an early check-in that wasn't available when I arrived. The changing area was under construction and I had to make due with a tiny temporary area in... More

we had booked the Terrace for our team dinner and we started with drinks in the small bar which was fine and the cocktail waiter entertained with his skills. We had opted for the set menu which was actually very nice although the portion sizes varied considerably around the table and the service was a little slow at times. When... More

This hotel reminds me of why I dislike Le Meridien: it's the weakest and least developed brand in Starwood's portfolio. Westin, W, St. Regis, even Aloft have a strong identity and deliver a consistent brand experience. Le Meridiens are all over the map - pretty much the only thing they have in common is that they feel like an inferior... More

Ideally situated, but old, tired, dark and noisy. Dark rooms with paper thin walls in addition to noise from the street and air conditioning system. A great location and pool facilities wasted. For the price, difficult to give more than 2 stars. Would definitely go for something else until the place is refurbished/renovated.

The hotel has some charm, such as the squeaky floors in the rooms, and the strange layout of the hallways. The service and staff at the hotel should be noted though. Concierge--no complaints here, I had several great experiences with the on site concierge, but make sure you get the "Real" concierge, not a bellman who happens to jump behind... More

We have just returned from a one night stay at this hotel which has previously been our favourite hotel in London. We choose to stay here for its excellent location and the fact the it has a pool and jacuzzi. This is a end of year treat for us and has been for years. We've stayed at this hotel loads... More

The hotel is very pleasant, the staff was lovely. There is a restaurant which we have not used as it was closed... We had a room on the top floor which provided us with a nice view over Big Ben and the London Eye :-) The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Only thing we did regret not having... More

Just returned from an afternoon tea in the Terrace. Sorry guys, but this didn't live up to expectations. It was our anniversary so I thought I would book a 5 star treat for us. No way was this 5 star. We were offered a table by the window on arrival however were asked to move as a private party had... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
