Booked for a long weekend through lastminute.com secret hotels so got a pretty good rate and having seen some of the poorer reviews on this site I did not have great expectations. However overall we were very pleased with our stay. The room didn't have any kind of a view (unless you count a blank wall) but we knew we... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the Le Meridien Piccadilly recently during our vacation in London. We requested for an early check in and this was happily accommodated. Lovely welcoming staff at the reception and we found both check in and check out hassle free and quick. The location is unbeatable for walking everywhere in Central London and we also... More

The hotel is in a great location. We were there for Christmas and New Year. The rooms are small, but clean and warm during the winter. Warning they did not have cable, so no E or A & E. We we're surprise since we paid lots of money a night. The only thing we did not like was while checking... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Close to shopping, 20 min walk from Buckingham Palace, right in the heart of it all in London. Being a starwood platinum member and having stayed in Starwood properties 50+ nights a year for the past 8-9 years I was quite disapointed with the level of service. Check in was great, but I... With central London hotels, it is hard to get the wow factor inside and out. Le Meridien Piccadilly, give you the Location, Location, Location, just a short walk to my favorite London store .Fortnum and Mason. I arrived very early from my night flight from Nairobi, and after a short wait the reception team was able to assign me a... More

Location is good- walking distance to Piccadilly, China town; bus 94 to oxford circus, Selfridges. The rooms are quite nice and cosy, decorations are rather contemporary. The breakfast is good- everyday I have a lot of smoke salmon!

Hotel was used because of its convenience for a meeting in St. James. Room OK, although I did ask for a large bed and got two singles. No opening windows as it looked over the terrace restaurant, but aircon was not too noisy. Disappointed with Breakfast, for the price paid it was not good at all. Scrambled eggs on the... More

This is a classic case of a hotel knowing its in a great location and therefore relying on that and utterly ignoring anything remotely resembling customer service. We arrived late and they had trouble locating our booking. Then then put us in the wrong rooms. No word of an apology, just a stroppy receptionist. We had 2 kids in our... More

I am gold SPG member, I haven't had my upgrade, they said the hotel is full and that a lies, But the worst thing is that I was hitting in my head and I wasn't able to do a check out as I was in hospital. The hospital called the hotel to get my luggage back but they kept it.... More

Didn't have a great experience with this hotel, we booked late so this may be the reason we had a poor room, but it was definitely not the room of a 5* hotel. It was overlooking the restaurant, which meant we couldn't have natural light in the room without opening our curtains to the diners in the restaurant. The room... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
