afternoon tea at this elegant London Hotel. Beautiful tea room , On the plus side the tea room was very grand , amazing ceiling chandeliers , it all felt very posh . The down side was you had no choice of sandwich filling , waiter not very attentive and tables far too close together which was a shame as it... More

Good quality hotel, in the thick of London's nightlife with masses to do on your doorstep. Well run hotel, absolutely as I expected. A really spacious bedroom, large bathroom and surprisingly quiet for the centre of London. Ask for an internal room looking over the atrium. We normally stay in the City but this location is so close to the... More

Oh dear - a bad start that only got worse! One room booked for 2 people in my husband's name using points as a long-standing HiltonHonors member (Gold). Booked by phone directly with Hilton. I attempted to check in on my own at 7pm on a Friday evening. I was told by an extremely miserable Ice Maiden that I could... More

Location right next to Covent Garden and Theatre land is perfect with easy access to buses and tubes and a short walk from Piccadilly circus, Trafalgar Square and other key sights. Hotel itself up to top Hilton standards, but as an older building has that much more character than the newer versions. Staff exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable so ideal for... More

Well still a fantastic hotel after all these years. Got out the taxi and the doorman was straight over to take the suitcases in. At the reception desk the check in swift and advised that breakfast was not included on our club years’ membership, but for £100 extra was given an upgraded room, breakfast, access to the executive lounge and... Stayed here for 8 nights for 30th anniversary. Easily walked to almost everything in London we wanted to do - plays, restaurants, pubs, museums, etc. Staff was outstanding, giving us an upgraded room and access to the executive lounge. Yes, the rooms are old and can have trouble keeping consistent heat, but it is a historic building and the rooms/bathrooms... More

As all luxury hotels, I must admit that the Waldorf was quite impressive. Luxurious, good service, great location. The difference with other equivalent hotels is that the rooms aren't exactly large, which must be dully noted, as many other luxury hotels in London. This is a great alternative to other luxury hotels in the neighborhood.

Fabulous Hotel in the heart of the theatre district. Arrived to really friendly, helpful staff. I booked an executive room and was really impressed with the spacious room. I had told them I wanted a room with a view as it was my birthday. When I walked in the room there was a cake on the table saying happy birthday... More

My partner and I stayed in this hotel after booking through lastminute.com as a secret hotel. We was both very impressed. It is a beautiful hotel. Very clean. Very close to Covent Garden which was perfect. We stayed on the 8th floor. Unfortunately we didn't get a room with a view but we didn't mind. The bed was very comfy... More

We stayed here for the weekend, whilst visiting our daughter. The location was excellent. Right on the doorstep to all the wonderful theatres, shops and restaurants. It also has the added bonus of a beautiful pool, which is unusual in London hotels. (Very inconvenient opening hours however). Our room was small, but nicely furnished. The bathroom was very clean and... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
