We liked this hotel very mutch, great room with a huge and comfortable bed. We had a room on 5th floor facing Whitcomb street, we were not disturbed from any noice outside, it was quite. We had actually thought it should be more noice from the street as the hotel are in the center of London 150 meters from Piccadilly.... More

This hotel is in a great location. Based on other trip advisor comments when we checked in we asked for a room on a higher floor and ended up on the 4th floor in room 403. Lovely room, spacious, clean and the bed was huge! However we hardly slept because of the car horns and noise outside until gone 4am.... More

I really don't see why we have negative reviews on this hotel. This hotel is all about location location location. It's almost perfect. In walking distance of everything, you couldn't really ask for a better located hotel. The rooms are quite so you hear nothing from outside, mind you I was on the 6th floor, I can't comment on the... There are many other better alternatives, including other Thistle hotels. The location is good if you want to be near Picadilly and Soho, but the hotel is small, no gym, bathroom was an awkward layout and in need of an upgrade, hotel restaurant/bar feels like a little like a dark basement. There was also some loud and fairly intrusive construction... More

I just stayed 1 night in Thistle Piccadily , overall was good . The location is perfect for Leisure travellers . In the middle of teather district , walking distance to Piccadily metro station , walking distance to Regent Street for shopping , walking distance to Soho / Covent Garden and Chinatown . Overall you cannot be more central in London. In the middle of Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, China Town etc. The hotel itself is nothing impressive. What was a bit of a surprise was the completely empty minibar. Also the bathroom heating was not working. The wifi 2 out of 3 days that I stayed was working properly - this one... More

We stayed one night for a theatre trip. Room & en-suite very spacious & clean. Nice extra was the fridge. Our room (206) looked out towards Leicester Square, great view of the Swiss Clock. We didn't eat at the hotel on this visit. Location is good for shopping, theatre etc. We found the staff very friendly & helpful.

The Thistle Piccadilly is a fantastic value for a London visit. I was there a week. Centrally located right off the Piccadilly line which happens to be a straight ride from LHR airport - for 40 quid you get a week pass and would otherwise be paying quite a lot more for a single ride in a cab to any... Stayed for one night in room on 6th floor. Room was spacious, had good facilities and looked recently refurbished. It was also very quiet considering it overlooked a busy street. Location is excellent for Theatre district. Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment.

Stayed at the hotel for a birthday "treat". We paid a lot of money for an upgraded room which was basic but comfortable (no complaints). We were very disapointed in the state of the bathroom, cold (no radiator ) shower was grotty & dirty, the towel rail was hanging off the wall & it was noisey. The staff were excellent... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
