We chose it because it was relatively cheap at medium notice, but it was much better than expected Big bed, lots of space, good bathroom and just very central We have stayed in cheaper options in places like Paddington etc. But being able to walk into the centre cannot be underestimated in the carnage that weekend London can sometimes be

We recently had a one night stay in this apart hotel. Our room was a modern studio suite. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The room was more for business stays than weekend breaks. A beautiful building in a prime position.

Perfect place for a family of 5. So central you save so much time by avoiding unnecessary travel to the main sights of London. We could hang out at Trafalgar Square till late to people watch and then just take a 3 minute walk back to the hotel. So nice to know the hotel is just there. Book early. Way... More

Was there for work for about a week. Had a conference nearby so it was practical. Not a fan of the optional room cleaning. I wasn't particularly made aware of of it. Asked my colleagues on day 3 if they room had not been clean either. Part from that, the staff was nice, and you can go to the gym... More

The room was clean and it was quite it overlooked the street. It did get loud at times but it was ok. The room came with microwave, sink and fridge if we chose to cook our own meals. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but still a good sleep. Was close to everything we needed and was in walking distance... More

Visiting UK and planned a trip to London just after Christmas. Our usual hotel was fully booked so selected this one as I am an Ascott member and there was a birthday discount on the rate that included breakfast and daily cleaning (a fact that we were challenged on several times during our stay!) The location is excellent right in... More

This is my second year in a row that I chose Citadines as my hotel in London and each time they prove that they are worth it. This time 2 couples of my friend came with us also at Citadines and they where so happy with the place and the friendly staff....

The room was great. We had an studio room. The kitchen had everything we needed. We did not try the breakfast, it was a bit expensive. It was better just to buy bread and other food from a nearby store. The room was clean and the size was perfect for two. Wi-fi was a bit slow but at least it... More

We stayed there as a family for a week in mid Dec. This was a trip combining business and leisure. We had stayed there before and it seemed that the facility had been spruced up The elevators worked ! :-) As always the location was outstanding. We could walk to most places. The rooms were comfortable, possibly a bit Spartan.... More

The apartment we stayed in was very clean and comfortable with the location, just off Trafalgar Square, being perfect for us. A few seconds walk from Embankment Station and Waterloo Bridge - very convenient. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in London.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
