Had a five night stay here. Great central location, can walk to a lot of the tourist places. Short walk to various stations on lines from Heathrow. Stayed in studio apartment. Small but spacious enough for our purposes. Very helpful desk staff. Only complaint/suggestion would be to change the arm chair in the apartment, not a very safe one to... More

The previous reviews tell you everything about this hotel. Great location, good foyer, staff that don't have the best grasp of the English language. The big problem for me was the layout of the room on floor 8. The two bedrooms and tiny shower and basin upstairs and a very steep staircase with one toilet downstairs. Apartment states it can... Great hotel close to Trafalgar square, London eye, West end and shopping district. A fresh room with a trendy design. The cleaning of the room was great. It also had a small pentry so it was easy to fix your own breakfast if you want to. The breakfast costs extra but was really nice. And there were free coffee in... More

There was a problem with our check-in - it was not the fault of the hotel, but the fault of the company we booked through. The staff were friendly and invited us to have a complimentary coffee while we waited. When we got to the room, we were surprised at how big it was. We didn't use the kitchen as... More

We stayed here for three nights. Everyone we met on the staff was pleasant and helpful. We had a package to be picked up by DHL, and they took care of it for us. They arranged a taxi on the morning we left. Nothing was ever a bother, they just smiled and took care of things. We had a studio,... More

There's no doubt about it. The Citadines Trafalgar Square is in a great location with only a short walk to Leicester square and Covent Garden and many other of the central London attractions. Its also only a 150 metres to Embankment station and a similar distance to Charing Cross. It is an apartment hotel and as such the rooms are... More

Had four nights while doing the tourist thing in London. Excellent location so close to everything where you can walk to Covent garden, Buckingham palace, Oxford street etc. and we didn't have to use the tube at all. Staff were friendly and efficient, room was just what we wanted with a kitchenette and was very quiet for what is a... More

I've worked out a new formula for spending the last night in the UK and that is to pack up the day before you fly and move into central London. If you ask for an early check in and the ability to store luggage until mid afternoon the next day you can really make the most of the final days... More

The reason I give the title, was just for a reference point. We earn enough to be able to take a trip like this from the states, but also expect some kind of value/service for our money. The location as many stated was everything we wanted and more. Step out the hotel and turn left: you are 2-3 min from... More

This hotel was quite expensive but the rooms were clean and spacious enough. The location was perfect and enabled us to walk to many tourist attractions. Staff very friendly. Washing and drying facilities available also.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
