This is not an hotel it is a apartment system where the rooms gets cleaned each week once... It has a fridge a microwave and a dishwasher... The location is superb minutes of two underground stations and next to Trafalgar Square... Busy roads... A supermarket next to it... Recommended for tourists... That don't care about sleeping more then about running... More

This hotel is in a great location right round the corner from Trafalgar Square and the National Portrait Gallery and at the other end near the Embankment. It's also about a 10 minute walk to Regent Street and Piccadilly Station. The area is safe to walk around with a few options for food (not cheap unless you want to opt... More

Made booking at another Citadines in London through online booking company for New Years Eve. When I received email that hotel was overbooked was a little concerned, but they offered two alternatives along with their apologies. Selected Trafalgar Square to be close to river for fireworks. Fantastic location. Two bedroom mezzanine apartment perfect as we were traveling with our adult... More

Clean and well-maintained, and good value for money, the Citadines Trafalgar Square is in an extremely good position for almost everything you might want to do on a visit to London, with good bus and underground connections no more than a five minute walk, and the National Gallery on the doorstep. Although utterly lacking in charm, the apartment was fine,... More

It is almost on Trafalgar Square so handy to many attractions, one can just walk to them, theatres, the Thames, Houses of Parliament, Tate modern etc. The room was small but clean, light and airy. The kitchen facilities are basic but adequate for cooking light meals, useful if like me you need gluten free food. Staff pleasant It was easy... More

This is a nice place it is an apartment hotel so we had a small kitchen. We were in a small studio with 1 queen bed. The positives: convenience and location. It was comfortable & we slept well. It has free wifi and the coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby is available for free at all times. There is... More

The Citadines, Trafalgar Square is all about location. It is so handy to so many attractions being within walking distance of Westminster Abbey, The Globe Theatre, Oxford and Regent Streets etc. The Embankment Tube Station as is Charing Cross Station. We stayed for 11 days in December/January. The room was clean and quiet, though a faulty iron which fused the... More

Stayed eight noghts here and explored London from this most central base. Five minutes walk to two tube stations and the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. Fifteen minutes walk at most to forty theatres. Twenty minutes walk to Westminster Cathedral and the British Museum. The location is to die for. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. A couple of small... More

Great location, the apartments are really nice and spacious. The heathing sytem is by airco, so not perfect. the ground stays cold. And also the fire-alarmsystem is over active. The beds are good the bathroom is okay. The service is great. But.....do not take your breakfast there. Not only expensive, but absolutely not worth it. The refilling is slow or... More

Very helpfull staff. Avoid the rooms on 8th floor, initially i was given one there, but the one and single window was very high on the wall almost 2 meters high making it impossible to see outside, feels like staying in an empty pool, they changed my room on 1st floor and was fine it was even bigger. Bed was comfortable

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
