We stayed for 3 nights for £330. The location is superb- walking distance to Drury Lane /Covent Garden. Charing Cross and Embankment stations are right and left of the door- a short stroll. We stayed in 524 - a quiet studio room with fridge/dishwasher/ iron/ microwave/hob. It was spacious and spotless. The bed was large and very very comfortable -... More

We were six adults shearing an apartment on the top floor. The apartment was quite nice, with good beds. We didn't try the breakfast, but the staff was friendly. Citadines is situated right next to Trafalgar Square and within walking distance to most central areas and sights.

Arrived from Charing Cross Tube station, at most a 5 minute walk (Citadines is actually half-way between Charing Cross and Embankment Tube stops). The main door was locked (accessed by room card) but was opened quickly and we were welcomed. The general reception area was busy but we were dealt with very quickly and checked-in by very friendly staff. Our... More

Good location for London during the Christmas period, easy to find and to see all attractions, staff was good and helpful. the apartment was clean and comfortable. All this at a great price, it was 2013 I stayed and one of the best visits to London.

Next summer my wife and I will stay for the third time at this hotel. We have always appreciated the rooms, the staff and the lobby where we can have a cup of free coffee while reading our newspaper. However, what makes the hotel outstanding is its location. It is within a short (or very short) walking distance of Trafalgar... More

The location is very good. Walking distance to everything you need …..food …. shopping, … entertainment (3 min to Trafalgar Square, 10 min to the London Eye and 10 min to Westminster). The room was wonderful, clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen has everything you need and a pleasant staff. The only negative point was having to pay extra money... More

Immaculately clean hotel, with really friendly staff. Great location with numerous links to transport including tube lines. Also with in walking distance of the London Eye, Big Ben and Nelsons column; as well as shops, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs. The room was a nice size for two with a good size kitchen which included all equipment needed. The bathroom... More

Close to Trafalgar Square a short walk from the West End theatres, Leicester Square and Covent Garden, it is a great location for a stay in London. The staff were helpful and polite and there is free coffee 24/7 from a machine. The room was clean with a kitchette , a comfortable enough bed but I did not have an... More

The location is great, close by Trafalgar square, the staff is friendly but lost because there is not enough staff for so many customers, the service is reduced to minimum. Rooms are ok however heating system is really loud. Not bad, not good, make your choice.

This property is situated in the very best possible location for any visitor to London. The lobby is inviting, the staff gracious and there's that free espresso machine available 24/7 for guests. The studio "suites" although spacious are, to my taste, disappointing in terms of lighting, design and decor. The free Wifi connection is excellent though and, after many disappointing... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
