Great location room was a good size and tidy. They need to invest in some new pillows because the ones we had were as flat as pancakes.Wi Fi reception was very good.Tried continental breakfast for £12.00 it was not worth it.Cafe Concerto just across the road does a nice breakfast for £5.75.Do not try and get room service because the shop/kitchen... My husband and I stayed for 5 nights this month. Amazing location, and close to two Tube stations linking you with different lines around the city. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk from Trafalgar Square, and a short stroll from Covent Garden, Leicester Sq and Piccadilly Circus, so close to good attractions and restaurants. Good customer service, and... More

2nd visit to London- the last hotel was full service with daily maid service and room service. Stayed here for location and convenience of having a kitchen. Great location- walking distance to major attractions in London with tube around the corner and easy access to bus lines and ferry services. Traveled alone and felt safe in hotel. However, would recommend... More

My husband and I stayed here for about 1 week in August 2015. You can't beat the location!!!!!! I only wish the beds were more comfortable. After a long day of walking and sightseeing..coming back to the room instead of being relaxing it was more like sleeping on a flat board-- our backs were killing us! The pillows were small... More

I've stayed in this hotel about 5 or 6 times and it's always a pleasure! The rooms are great (1-bedroom apartment) and spacious. The reception staff is helpful and it's close to many attractions + there's the Tube just around the corner.

We stayed in Citadines for six nights in August. Overall we were not happy with our stay there. Although the photos online look great upon checking in I was very unimpressed with the room. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment as we had three guests and thought the sofa bed was a good option. The bathroom is very small... More

Location great but that's where the good ends. We had an apartment on the 8th floor and all we could hear what ever the device was above us going on & off every few seconds. The shower squealed and could be heard in the second bedroom. The air con did not work properly. Would not go below 21 degrees even... More

We stayed in Citadines in July. It is a very good Aparthotel and the price is very convenient. The rooms are clean although a bit noisy. In the lobby there is a complimentary hot drinks machine which I really liked. The hotel is in a walking distance to many places. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel very much

We've visited London several times and stayed in some lovely 4* hotels. Citadines is an Aparthotel and for the price is amazing given the location - a couple of minutes walk from Trafalgar Square one way and the River Thames the other. We stayed in a studio apartment which has a kitchen area with all you need if you want... More

Without doubt one of the prime locations in London. However, the apartment that we had left a lot to be desired. It was very basically appointed, with a bare floor and utilitarian bathroom, more reminiscent of a 1970s council flat. The bed was horribly uncomfortable, and - worst of all, the sheets had blood stains.... No room service was available,... More

Dear Alan B Thank you for posting about your recent stay. Yes our location is great for exploring London. I am sorry though the rest of your stay was so disappointing. In regards to the room we were refurbished in 2012 and are in the process of updating some of the rooms, my apologies this was not to your taste.... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
