Very close to the underground station "Angel", right on Upper Street makes this a great location in London Islington. Many pubs and restaurants nearby. Antique market and shops right around the corner. Because it's not in the tourist centre of London it's very affordable (for London standards) we payed 84 pounds a night. The rooms are a bit old and... More

Pros: 1 General Impression & Amenities - Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with a group of colleagues. The rooms are obviously new, beautifully designed and comfortable both in size and amenities. Breakfast was excellent with a big selection of food- including traditional English breakfast, cheeses, hams, eggs, various pastries, soft cheeses, various cereals and some vegetables. Coffee wasn't... More

We stayed here for business as the offices we were visiting were located in the EC1 and EC2 areas of London. The hotel is only about 200 metres from the Angel tube station and the main street (Upper St) is well serviced by several different buses. Breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly. Rooms were well appointed and modern. The... More

My wife & I chose this hotel, for one night, because of its location, as we were attending an event at the Business Design Centre (BDC). For access to the BDC you couldn't be closer, it is literally about 50 feet away! The hotel and BDC are located approximately a 5-6 minute walk from Angel tube station, on the northern... More

This is a pretty standard hilton property, will need to be redone in a few years but is acceptable. The staff was helpful, though two days in a row I requested a wakeup call and never received one either day - good thing I set a back up alarm on my phone! (the clocks in the room handn't been set... Very nice staff and service, always willing to help. It is a shame the heat did not work properly in my first room, and when changed to the second one the shower holder was broken. Other than that they were nice enough to compensate with a complimentary breakfast, and they were eager to help. Convinient location and very nice large... More

When we checked into our room, the lamps did not work. Called the desk and the concierge (who was very polite and apologetic) came up and screwed in one light bulb and plugged in another. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but when we attempted to eat breakfast, there was no cream for the coffee and when I asked for an... More

Stayed 3 nights - first room (a suite) had a missing remote for a wall-mounted air conditioner (which was broken), broken drawers, main a/c unit which couldn't be switched off. In morning spoke with staff who instantly offered me another suite (but sofabed was broken). When returned that evening they helped move to another suite in which (apparently) all was... More

I don't have any real complaints about this Hilton, other than the beds were a bit hard. The room was clean, staff were good. Decor was fine, and we appreciated the free bottle of wine and bedtime dessert (probably for Diamond members only, but still nice.) We like this part of London, but if you need to be more central,... When you pay such a great deal of money you expect everything to be excellent. Well it was not. First of all reception table was understaffed. When we arrived there was a technical problem with the pre-authorization of my credit card. A supervisor was called and they asked us to pay the whole amount for our stay in cash (not... More
