Spent one night in this hotel last thursday and was not that impressed at all. The only members of staff that were at all pleseant were the reception staff - welcoming arrival. once in room, I notice the curtain was falling off the wall, the carpet had a hole in it under the bedside table. Room was OK, bed was enormous and was clean and comfortable. As previously mentioned the reception staff were very disinterested (they weren't busy either). Stayed often,will never use again.Moved room 3 times and gave up.The room was still dirty,mould and hair in bathroom and have never seen a dirty mattress as that ,slept on top and to top it no hot water in morning never again. more

Disappointing to find that the bedroom was dirty, furniture was old and tired; hot water not always available thoughout the day. Staff were very unfriendly on check-in and showed no interest. more

We were given a smoking room, it was bigger than the standard size, but it smelt quite stale. Breakfast was ok, dinner was fine, SPA was standard, pool was quite clean. The pictures of the hotel on the website for the Hilton looked great, as does everything else on screen before you purchase I suppose. The lights outside the Hilton were not operating, quite bad considering that i'd driven past budget hotels such as Premier Travel Inn and Travelodge and they looked much nicer (view wise). Stayed at the Croydon Hilton for 3 days with work on a full board basis during a training course. I stayed in room 209 - unfortunately near the lift.
